Ordered for delivery it was over 30min late I called the store, a young male worker who had just started could not give any answer as far as where my order was so I asked for a manager and he said there wasn't any manager at the store I said a supervisor then he said no I then said who's in charge he said I don't really know I new employee, mind you he was helping people at the counter while taking to me on the phone. Even though this place can be a hit or miss, I'm giving it 4 starts because I love their smoothies a lot. Sometimes I just crave a smoothie that's not a "organic-juice-bar-esque-gonna-cost-me-10$-for-a-smoothie" smoothie and also not a "processed-with-juice-and-sugar-and-sherbert" smoothie, and somehow Tropical Smoothie Cafe is somewhere in the middle and makes me very happy. The consistency of their smoothies are perfect as I never get one that's watered down. They also let me switch up the ingredients with no extra charge. Price is a little bit steep, but pretty average. I usually get it split into two small cups so I can save the other half for later and they do not give me any issues with doing this. The only downside is the workers can be a little slow, which can cause a lot of wait time when there is a line. Sometimes I come in and there will be 6 people who are waiting for their food, and sometimes the orders get mixed up. I went against my better judgment after reading all of the reviews, because I'm thinking what I want isn't something anyone can mess up. Wellll, let me say that my complaint is not all about the horribly soggy lettuce and tomatoes cooked chicken caesar wrap. I'll start with the positive. My watermelon mojito smoothie was sooo doggone good I wanted to return for another one. However; after opening up the nasty smelling soggy ceasar wrap all of that went out the window. I immediately became disgusted and sick feeling. It smelled the bad. A wrap is supposed to be a sandwich in a salad form on a wrap. Who cooks the lettuce and tomatoes to mush on a wrap? The tomatoes smelt rotten and so did the lettuce. I attempted to reach management shortly after I discovered the gross wrap. I recieved a voicemail and left a message. I called back 3 hours later manager (Keiora sp)had left for the day. Call back the next morning ledt yet another voicemail, still today no phone call. I ordered two peanut butter banana crunch flatbread's. Despite the descriptive name of this item, mine arrived with no granola, no banana, no honey. Just a piece of bread with a tiny bit of peanut butter. Like a tablespoon of peanut butter. I'm not sure how you could mess up this badly without it being intentional. This is the third time they've done this on this exact same thing, which is probably the simplest item on their entire menu. I don't know how you could possibly take a piece of flatbread, slap some peanut butter on it, and think that you had finished your job. It's missing 3/5 of the ingredients.. Last time they messed up this order, there were several granola crumbs, like two crumbs, ONE banana slice, no peanut butter, and a TON of honey... like an obscene amount of honey. There is no possible way that some employee didn't intentionally prepare that thing incorrectly. Not possible. No one is that bad at their job accidentally. If anyone from tropical smoothie actually reads these reviews, I will be stopping by in the next couple of days to speak with someone. I can even show you how to make one of these properly. We were in town for a water polo tournament and smoothies are always on the menu for our girls after games. This was the closest we could find and were a bit reluctant with the 2.5 star rating, but we were desperate. The smoothies were delicious and the girls asked to go back again the next day. My wife got the detox one and asked to take out the banana, but it tasted like they took all the fruit out and her smoothie tasted like fresh cut grass . The place was clean and the staff was accommodating. I'm guessing the low ratings were based off their app and online ordering. We also struggled a bit with the app that we downloaded to get a free smoothie, so maybe just go in and order the ok'd fashion way and you won't be disappointed. Ordered a Bahama Mama and received just a strawberry and some pineapple smoothie. No coconut or white chocolate in it. Jennaleah H took my order and no "Hello, how are you?" Or "What can I get for you guys today?" And instead of just handing me my receipt right away she looked at it to see if I tipped her. This was literally the worst experience and I've had bad experiences. I went on a Friday a few weeks ago and there was one girl ringing up and another making the stuff. There was a long line considering it was busy. Finally after waiting forever it was my turn. As I went up the girl walked away and starts taking to some guy who came right to the counter. She then starts asking him his order and then kissed him as the entire line is staring. There was quite a few people in line too. So she just completely ignored us and went to speak to her boyfriend who she put an order in for yet didn't make him pay??? When she had paying customers standing there watching this. It was appalling to know that someone would do that when they are suppose to be doing there job. Finally got my smoothies and food and I get in the car and took out the wrap I got (the peanut butter and banana one) and I get a wrap with chunks of granola. I am a creature of habit and always order the Detox Island green smoothie with had no added sugars. A health nuts dream! Tropical smoothie also does FREE supplement Sundays which can include Vitamin C, Fat burner, Ginger, Kale and Spinach super pack- Yum! All my favs.favorite. Their newest smoothie is the cranberry crisp which includes an edible strawberry straw. The manager was kind of enough to let me have that straw instead of a regular one. I was suspect, but it was super tasty and it actually worked drinking the smoothie All straws need to be paper or edible to save the planet. Yes, there are salad, wraps and other casual food fare available at tropical smoothie cafe, but they seemed to be chronically understaffed to provide timely service for anyone one in to eat. Expecially if you are on a time line to eat your food has to do not go during a short lunch hour. This particular location has been in Henderson for several years-and the décor is definitely reflective of that little bit thread worn and shabby. I've been to this location many times over the past 3 years that we've lived on this side of town, and I have yet to meet a worker here who is happy/pleasant/knowledgeable. It's like all of the worst customer service employees in Henderson decided to work here. It was so bad on my most recent visit that I will no longer be giving my money to any Tropical Smoothie (there are many other options for comparable product with great customer service). The girl working the register glared at me and my child the entire time we ordered as if we were inconveniencing her for coming here. After waiting for 15+ minutes for our 3 smoothies, the girl at the register began screaming "can someone in the back please start making these smoothie orders?!" I had heard several employees chatting out of view while we were waiting but assumed they were working while chatting. Nope, just congregating in the back of the store while we waited. Ordered a quesadilla with black beans, and received a quesadilla with pineapple salsa.
