Great spots for smoothies! They have lots of options, different sizes, and service is super fast and friendly. We were in and out within 10min. I got the sunrise sunset which has mango, pineapple, and orange juice. I also added strawberries and the smoothies was to die for!! I'll definitely try to replicate this combination at home haha. I enjoy the smoothies but it's annoying when you order a smoothie for pickup, it's sitting unrefrigerated on a shelf. This place needs to at least get some kind of fridge so my smoothie isn't melting/watery by the time I come pick it up. I'll never come here again. The cashiers reason for letting my smoothie get melted was because I "placed it online" and that's due to corporate rules. I literally placed the order at 3:50. I pull up 5 minutes and it's already melted. If that's the case, I will never order from here again because that is just horrible customer service. To Tell a customer your item want to be refrigerated when it's a melting item because of because of corporate is not an excuse. I'll never come here again. It's already overpriced and Jamba Juice is better quality anyway. Also the cashier their stated only purchased a "kid" size as of to imply it didn't matter because I didn't pay as much money. I did an online order for 2 smoothie with a pickup time of 15 minutes at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe TX-258 located at 7714 Fry Rd., Cypress. I observed 4 associates working at this location and my order took over 30 minutes. It was only after I requested my order status that an associate began preparing my order. This location was in a state of chaos with no one taking charge to make sure the orders were being filled and their customers were being services. I normally stop at the Windermere location where service is excellent and orders are processed quickly whether it is an online order or one from an in store customer. I will not be stopping at the Fry road location and do not recommend it...unless you have no where to go with no time to be there. read more

I wasn't a huge fan of Tropical Smoothie cafe and I wanted to check it out because this establishment was in my neighborhood. The customer service in this store was terrible. I asked for a recommendation, the female employee at the register shrugged and said she's not tried any of the smoothies. I inquired about what they use for a sweetener and energy for the smoothies. The male employee who replied that they use an energy supplement and then got cocky about it. The smoothies are $6-8 each and they're made fresh. They're sweetened with turbinado sugar which isn't any healthier than processed sugar, and costs 2-3x more than regular sweetener. I asked the female employee who took my order to reduce the sugar in my smoothie and she acted as if I was bothering her. I bought my strawberry banana smoothie and left, noting I will never come back. read more

While they do have food, I only got a smoothie this time around. They have your run-of-the mill smoothies, healthy options with veggies, and superfood smoothies. They list their most popular smoothies on their menu. There are a couple of things I love about Tropical Smoothie Cafe. 1) They have a lot of options. 2) they have one size and it's a large smoothie for a good price. 3) They have a rewards program, an app where you get points and periodic emails with discounts. read more

I often visit this location the smoothies are always good. I'm giving this low rating because this past week I had several charges taken from my account that were not authorized. I called to speak with a manager and the gentleman (cashier) said that the same happened to him. He took my name and number and said the manager would call me back. When I asked to speak to a manager upon calling - the cashier said "is this about what I think it is" so apparently this had happened to many customers and they were calling to get a resolve. I never heard anything back from the manager. I verified the charges against my purchase activity in the app to make sure it wasn't an oversight. These charges did not exists. So I went into the store and spoke with the assistant manager she also reviewed my information and took my name and number. But quickly threw it to the side. I'm not sure if the manager ever received my message but I will be reporting it to my back and they have definitely lost a frequent customer solely based on how this situation was handled. No response after servers requests?!? That's not good customer service. Be careful and watch the charges to your account you make have been charged several times and they will likely be no resolve from the manager. read more

Today is their first day open and they are a hit! You order at the counter and wait for your food or drink to be brought out to you. There are a few sitting places and a bar in front of the smoothie machines you can sit on. I can see it getting crowded during lunch with very little seating available. Luckily, they offer orders to go! They have souvenir smoothie cups for $2.99 that can be brought back to receive a discount on your smoothie. They only have one size of smoothies and it is huge!
