My first visit at this location and I don't like it as well as some of the other locations. The employees weren't especially friendly, and my smoothie didn't seem quite right. I ordered the Açaí Berry Boost, which is one of my favorites, but it was watery and didn't taste like it usually does. I ordered a Southwest breakfast wrap with salsa on the side. Love their smoothies! Love that they have a drive thru as well as place to sit down inside, as for a healthy option this is new. My husband is a fan of their sandwiches and they have lots of breakfast options as well. We have loved this addition to the neighborhood and try to go often. Love this place and visit like 1x a week. I have a 16-year-old who fancies a good smoothie. So we have been to several smoothie shops, but just discovered Tropical Smoothie Cafe about two months ago. There's just something about the smoothies that taste more like actual fruit instead of a milkshake. I don't know if they are better than other places for you, but they certainly taste better. I ordered the detox island green smoothie and it was delicious! It tasted really green, so if you're not a fan of kale -- be advised LOL. My kale hating partner did not enjoy it at all. He ordered the açaí berry smoothie and it was so sweet and yummy! The smoothie itself is pretty big, and at $7 a piece, it's a really great price for how much you get. We decided to come here for a light lunch. I had the Smoky Grilled Cheese that has mozzarella, bacon, tomato on it- it was tasty and hot. I also got the Kiwi Quencher smoothie which was light and tasty. If you order a food item it does take some money off of the smoothie and you do get a side- I got some baked lays. I can see myself coming back again and again to get some light lunch items and smoothies. So why 4 stars- I tried coming here when they opened up and go through the drive thru but no one ever came on the speaker and the line didn't move for about 5 minutes. I have tried tropical smoothie at a sports facility, but this was my first visit to an actual location. It was lunch hour, but I asked the employee for recommendations on gluten free options and she was very helpful. I ended up with a peanut butter option. It was great! I was a little shocked by the price, but eating healthier is always more expensive, right? I was shocked at how filling it was. It served as my whole lunch. Ironically my daughter wanted a smoothie for dinner so we stopped by again. She had a pineapple type of drink. There was nobody in front of us, but we did wait for several minutes in the drive up (I'd easily say more than 10 minutes). Nobody even joined the window to say anything. I was in no rush, as we were wasting time before an appointment, but if I was in a hurry, I probably would have been a little frustrated. Today a training session I was in ordered here for lunch. Our first new try in the new year was Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We went in the mid-afternoon on a Saturday and were surprised how busy it was being so late for lunch. It took a while for someone to ring us up at the register, as everyone was preparing food/smoothies (probably for the folks in the long line in the drive-thru). Aside from this delay, the employees were friendly. I tried the chicken bacon ranch flatbread along with some jalapeño corn. The flatbread was light but also satisfying and flavorful. The corn had a nice amount of heat to it, and it paired nicely with the flatbread. My wife had the avocado grilled cheese along with the maple sweet potatoes - she enjoyed them very much. In addition to the food, I got the peanut butter cup smoothie (peanut butter, chocolate, and banana) but I had them sub coffee for the chocolate - it was a lovely treat, but I think I did not enjoy it quickly enough... it began to separate and get a bit weird before long. The Avon location ruined it for me couple years ago. Visited the location over 20 times at least. Half those times I would come into the store & not only not be acknowledge, the cashier literally would see me & walk away to the back to act like they were doing something else. I ordered the Sunrise Sunset smoothie which had strawberries, pineapple, mango, and orange juice-it was delicious and incredibly filling. For my entrée, I ordered the three cheese chicken enchilada which included queso blanco, cheddar and a smoked cheese blend all on a flour tortilla, served with roasted tomato salsa along with a side of BBQ chips. It was served hot and it tasted great. Our service staff, Tia, was super friendly and helpful while we perused the menu. I walked into the nearly empty cafe (1 family sitting down who already had their food) and stood at the register for several minutes waiting to order, the two workers (looked like teenagers) looked at me, and then proceeded to completely ignore me. I waited until the girl asked me if I was ordering. ?? I'm trying to ??? I ordered and paid without issue. And then 3 workers, 2 boys and a girl, proceeded to talk shit about me over their headsets. I could literally hear one side of the entire conversation as one of the boys had gone back to the kitchen, openly talking shit. I then get my food and it, honestly, just sucks. There is a copious amount of sauce EVERYWHERE. On the paper, on the outside of the tortilla. The tortilla was soggy and the lettuce was soggy because of the excessive amount of sauce. Overall, this location is garbage. I'd rather drive 20 more minutes to the location on W 10th St. They are so much kinder there. read more

I placed my order after waiting in line for the one person working the register while another guy was just walking around...I placed my order after waiting in line for about 5 minutes while the person in front of me asked every nutritional question she could! I think this place used to be an old Long John Silver but it's been completely remodeled with an impressive makeover and now it has lots of windows and is nice and clean. I'm impressed that the food and the service there is consistently good. I workout at the AMF gym in the same shopping center and grab a smoothie when I'm finished. I typically get the peanut butter paradise with whey protein and it's consistently good. Other times I would get the island detox green and that is really good for something that's healthy. Their app is great because you can also have discounts and points if you're a frequent visitor. I've also had several of the wraps to include the Caribbean jerk which are fantastic. I also get the cut up sweet potatoes as a side, and they are also quite good and healthy. If you get the wrap and the sandwich combo it's cheaper and sometimes they run a special on the app so check it out before you go. The Staff is solid. My order is always correct and timely. I didn't expect the place to have good food at first but after I tried one of the wraps I was sold. I definitely recommend to check it out especially the more health conscious (but want it flavorful too) types. read more

i went to the smoothie king on 135 in Greenwood indiana. the smoothies were good but we had an unpleasant experience with an employee named Lauryn who was laughing at her customers and gossiping with her other coworkers the entire time. she didnt seem like she wanted to be there and was incredibly bitchy and rude. i've had bad experiences here before with the employees but never left a review. hopefully smoothie king stops hiring unmotivated teenagers. makes me not want to come back :/ read more

I ordered a caprice sandwich and the sandwich is supposed to be hot and it was cold the general manager did not believe me basically said I was lying, and that the sandwich was made correctly and would not reimburse my money or make me a free sandwich. If a sandwich is supposed to be hot and it comes cold with chicken being cold, the sandwich is not made correctly.
