Went here one evening and so grateful for the recommendations. The menu is large and there are so many choices, but the staff was helpful to share what we may enjoy based on fruit and ingredient preferences. This location is impeccably clean and bright. My daughters are now obsessed with the Bahama Mama smoothie and while I have tried to recreate it at home with all the same ingredients, nothing compares to Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I do not recommend working here. I was hired and got one day of training. The manager Ninisha (Nikki) told me she was sick and was rescheduling my training. 3 days go bye, no updates. I messaged her asking if she was okay and if the schedule was posted and she left me on seen. I text her again the next day and she says they're canceling my training an onboarding, with no explanation. Do not work here if you don't want to be discriminated against. The workers are all Indian and they talk about you behind your back in a different language. They were microaggressive and will yell at you instead of communicating properly. read more

My son requested going here as he is healing Post wisdom teeth and extra tooth removal. No drive thru so we went in. It's located directly across from Trinity High School where the Panera to go used to be. A nice variety of smoothie options at various price points along with several types of wraps including less expensive breakfast wraps available all day. Also sandwiches and paninis! He ordered a strawberry banana large smoothie (it had a name on the menu). We asked for a spoon as he can't use straws post op. Unfortunately no spoons. We went to nearby Green District Salads (see review) for salads for his girlfriend and me and luckily they found us a spoon so he could eat the smoothie! He said the smoothie was great. I'll have to stop in for one soon, it's between my house & work so could become an easy splurge spot! A few indoor small tables are available as well as several umbrella tables outside to sit at if desired for dining in. I've been eying Tropical Smoothie for a while after spotting it in multiple cities. It finally opened at the Paddock shops so I had to stop by. We had coupons for the smoothies, but they're still a good price. You get a lot for what you're paying for. I got the Blimey Limey upon the suggestion of the girl at the register. Strawberry, pineapple, OJ, and lime. Refreshing! It took me a while to finish since they gave such a large cup. My sister got the Detox island green: spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana, ginger. Not as sweet actually. And my mom got Blueberry bliss: banana, strawberry, and blueberries. We all enjoyed our smoothies. Again, great price! And the drinks came out fast since we were the only ones in line. A few groups were eating snacks and drinking smoothies. Mostly kids with their parents. It's pretty sugary. You get your serving of fruits, but if you're watching your sugar intake, be careful here! read more

Update: tried to take a bite and it literally tasted SPOILED. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION I am so sick of this terrible location. The workers literally seem like they hate working there and don't even acknowledge customers. On top of that, I get the same thing at every location, yet this one ALWAYS adds a gross 1/2 inch layer of water over my food?? Love that my *crunchy* granola is now sopping wet and mushy. There was an issue last weekend with an online order that I submitted to this location. I assume that their opener no showed, or over slept, and I couldn't wait around because I was heading to work myself.. (every job/work place has at least 1 unreliable/careless employee) but then a couple days later their manager Tyree reached out to me, and made sure I was taken care of! I couldn't have been more satisfied with Tyree's customer service, and how she actually cares and goes the extra mile for her customers. Thank you thank you thank you for making my experience today quick, simple, and problem free. Today, not only did I receive great service, but was also surprised with how clean this location was today hours before closing. The lobby was spotless, behind the counter looked freshly wiped down, and sanitized. Wow Zero stars. I ordered 2 smoothies through the app on Christmas Eve and my husband couldn't get there before they closed EARLY due to Christmas Eve traffic. I called and let them know 3 minutes before they closed. They said they canceled my order and would credit my account back. 1 week later, I go in to let them know the situation and that I wasn't credited back. Asked if she could make me 2 replacement smoothies. She literally said it was my problem and she wasn't going to do anything about it. Who manages the Louisville location at the Paddock Shoppes? Is that ok? Is that how we service our customers? Whoever is "managing" for you today should have serious training. You lost my business and I've been visiting you 3-5 times a week...lol What a joke. read more

Tropical Smoothie is finally open! After years of enjoying the smoothies and treats on the road I'm so excited to finally have one right down the road. The Chicken Pesto Flatbread with a Mango Magic smoothie was the perfect little lunch for after my exercise session this afternoon. I know it's new so it's still clean and cozy, but honestly most of the ones I've been to in Virginia and Florida were exactly the same. The little area of the paddock shops where TS is open with these restaurants is a great little spot and I'm excited for the warmer weather to enjoy the outside area as well. Great food, but customer service is low. The lady working the counter was extremely rude. I wasn't acknowledged when walking in to pick up an on online order. It wasn't on the shelves, so I waited at the counter and she hesitated to serve me. I thanked her once I received my food and told her to have a good day, still 0 words came out of her mouth. Came here with my bf last night and did not have a good experience. We waited for a very long time, due to an employee who was NOT working that day holding up the line. She stood there and took so long with her order while talking, that the lady and her two children that were in front of us waiting walked out. This off the clock employee was acting very loopy, walking to the back talking to employees when they were working. I understand this person has a right to come in on their off day and order whatever they want, but when you see a long line behind you waiting you would think they or the people working would ask her to be more considerate. She thought it was funny that she was taking so long even after the lady walked out and started Laughing as she was apologizing. Not cool at all. If you are going to have a bunch of teenagers working that can't be expected to do the right thing maybe an adult needs to be there at all times. If a manager was there I KNOW they would have found her behavior totally unacceptable and bad for business. KUDOS to the employees that were ignoring her and continuing to do their jobs. I came in around 8:00 pm on July 10 and had a bad experience unfortunately. I have never been there before and heard a lot about their smoothies. I hate to have a bad experience for my first time. I walked in and there were four young/high school age girls working behind the counter. When I came in one of the worker girl friends was there and was talking to her while another worker girl took my order. I didn't mind it that the two were chatting but the problem I had was the worker girl allowed her friend to enter behind the counter into the kitchen to talk about a date she went on. Very unprofessional, tacky, and unsanitary. I disregarded it and ordered a smoothie. Delicious! Then, as I was waiting for my smoothie two young/high school age girls walk in and greet another one of the girls behind the counter. The girl that was working WALKED AWAY from the middle of making a smoothie for another couple (while also I was waiting for mine). It gets better, then TWO MORE young girls walk in and talk THE OTHER girl behind the counter and takes a picture of her behind the cash register to put it on her Snapchat. (I overheard their conversation). I was shocked to see now there were 3/4 workers in conversation with friends while they are in the middle of serving customers!! The one and only nice girl that evidently didn't get the memo that there was a party at work today, finished my smoothie and the couples and served us since the other three stopped to have a chat. I have never seen anything like that before and was memorized that they had no problem doing that in-front of customers without a second thought. read more
