This was really an awesome Tropical Smoothie experience. Stopped by since it was closest to my current location. I had a bday freebie which is a free 24 ounce smoothie on the exact day of your day. It populates in your app. I ordered the mango monsoon which was perfect for me. Mango, pineapple, papaya, coconut, guava, and passion. This was so good and such a good size. Everyone in the place was so sweet and all of them wished me a happy bday. They all went out of their way with such a simple gesture. Thanks for the amazing smoothie and great customer service. I haven't had Tropical Smoothie Cafe in ages, but I was actually pleasantly surprised during my recent visit. I used to go to the one near my house in Oviedo on a weekly basis, but that was more than a decade ago. I was happy to see that their menu offerings have expanded quite a bit and they now offer sandwiches, salads, wraps, flatbreads, 'dillas, breakfast items, and acai/yogurt bowls in addition to their signature smoothies. I decided to get the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of the kale & apple slaw. My husband ordered the All American breakfast wrap which is packed with protein. I, of course, had to get a smoothie as well and wanted to try the Avocolada smoothie (half sweetness) which is made with avocado, pineapple, spinach, kale, coconut, and lime. I also got a side of their maple sweet potatoes for my son. Overall we really enjoyed everything. My wrap hit the spot and the Avocolada smoothie is amazing! We came here because we had a T Mobile coupon this week for BoGo smoothies or bowls. The cashier was very polite and helpful with making sure we got the deal. He was also helpful with our requests on making our own smoothies. When we got here, we were the only ones in the store. With tropical music playing in the background and beach tone tables and chairs, the sore gives a "fun tropical/beach cabana" vibe. One of the best places to stop for a smoothie when you're on this stretch of Colonial. Parking can be a bit tough, but between ordering on the app or in person you can easily order and customize your smoothie for whatever you prefer. Service is pretty standard and looks like any other Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I always have a quick in and out experience with Tropical Smoothie! I am a simple girl when it comes to my smoothies and usually will order the blimey limey which has strawberries, pineapple, orange juice, and lime! It gives me the fruit I need, and it keeps me full if I want a quick breakfast or lunch. This location in particular is usually pretty quiet in the mornings so the staff is quick to make my order. The cafe had my order ready before the estimated pickup time, which was a great start, and there is plenty of seating, so finding a spot is no problem at all. However, as soon as you walk in, you are hit with an incredibly strong smell of cleaning chemicals and deodorizer, and it is so overpowering that it almost masks the aroma of the food. When I come to a place that specializes in fresh smoothies and sandwiches, I would much rather smell fruit and grilled wraps than chemicals, especially since scent plays a huge role in how we perceive taste. Unfortunately, the overwhelming scent can really interfere with the flavor experience, and that is something I hope they address soon. read more

Service was really good and the cashier at the front gave me ample time and provided menu recommendations. I tried the Jerk Chicken wrap and a smoothie. The wrap came toasted, which was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting. I got it with an apple as a side, which you could sub for a bag of chips or a banana. I also tried the Mango & Pineapple smoothie with pea protein added. The protein added a vanilla flavor and thicker texture, and the shake was a pretty good size. I only live 10 min away by car and finished ordering after signing up for the rewards program in my driveway before pulling out. Upon arriving there was plenty of parking. I was warmly greeted by a staff member who directed me to the end of the counter. They use a cubby against the wall to organize their pick up orders and seem to have an efficient process for identifying and storing the orders separately. They even check your receipt to make sure you don't inadvertently grab someone else's order. The dining room is currently closed for eating in so Im glad I preordered for to go. Although there was no line I wasnt sure given its lunch hour on a Monday and on a previous visit (pre-Covid Saturday afternoon) they were packed! You may think I'm talking about the smoothie but no, no I am talking about this place's lids. The craftsmanship, the durability, the tenacity. A few weeks later I decide to give it another try (same location), I ordered a thia chicken wrap. When I separated the wrap, low and behold, there's a hair in my wrap.. Management did refund my money. when I went to go pick up my refund, one of the employees was wearing shorts, so short, that the bottom of her butt cheeks were hanging out. Very, very, very unprofessional!!! If you want to wear those clothing on your own time, by all means, that's prerogative, but when your working at a establishment, that's just not appropriate. This location is kind of starting to go downhill. Staff used to be friendly and would greet you when you came in, invite you to use their app for convenience, and call your name for every order, even the online orders. There used to be a shift lead or supervisor who kind of set that tone, but I have not seen her in a while. The difference in the service is very apparent.
