ACAI BOWL was absolutely delicious. I didn't come for this. I came for my DETOX ISLAND GREEN-however another customer was waving about the bowl I must admit it did not disappoint however it is very expensive so therefore I will be learning how to make this on my own. It was $12 for this bowl.. It's just too much I can justify paying eight dollars every now and then for movie I cannot justify paying $12 for this bowl. Omgggggg!!! Guys!!! I had tropical smoothie a few times. But I only got the smoothies and occasionally the turkey club. Today I jumped out my comfort zone and tried the jerk chicken wrap!!!!! Guys!!! This wrap is amazing!!! You can get it in a bowl too if you don't want the bread. The flavors of this wrap is outstanding. And I also tried the kale coleslaw BOMB.COM!! Great job tropical smoothie. I've been coming here for the last 2 months and each time is a better experience. The manager is respectful, polite and professional. He also cleans up during downtime - now that's amazing! Today I ordered from Stan, His new name is "My Good Man, Stan" - from entering the spot to ordering my smoothies, Stan was extremely polite, professional and accurate. He took the time to read my order back to be accurate - again, that's damn good customer service in today's day and age. OH - my good man Stan reminded me that I had a free smoothie!!!! I tried the location again during the lunch rush post-surgery. It was even worse than the first few times. I hate writing bad reviews but this location needs attention, especially since it's new & pretty much the only "healthy" option in our community. The service was extremely uninspired. I ordered a Baja chicken wrap & Thai wrap & was told that I probably wouldn't want the Baja wrap because they were out of the ingredients for the wrap. So I got a Thai wrap, a smoothie, and a quesadilla with kale. There was no kale either -_-. Also I asked for a boost in my drink but apparently the cashier didn't know what I was talking about. Frustrated, I got it without the boost. I also asked questions about the menu & was told "honestly I don't know", which I respect...but why not? Is the staff being trained adequately? I was told, after making the Thai wrap, that there was no peanut sauce so I frustratedly asked for a partial refund. Dry wraps are the worst. There is only two particular people there actually three that really knows how to make the Smoothie the others then the training they need to fire that whole crew and just rehire people and retrain them on how to make smoothies. I've visited other Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations before and have always ordered the Avocolada add white chocolate. For some particular reason this smoothie was watery and wasn't well blended. I went to get smoothies at the Oxon Hill location, as I often do. One day I saw multiple employees with their masks under their nose. I asked who appeared to be the manager (younger dude with locks) to ask them to pull them up. He complied and I happily bought my smoothie. I just went in today (Monday around 12:20pm) and everyone except for the woman making smoothies had their nose covered. I approached the manager (a 50 something guy) and asked that he ask her to pull her mask over her nose. He told me that she is moving around and it is going to fall down. I left! The other employees were moving around and their masks stayed in place. She needs to wear a different mask.
