Chicharron de Pollo with Fried Rice & Black Beans

Always great food at Sardis. Have thankfully never had an issue with service, parking, space, taste, or vibes. Will always return when thinking of Peruvian chicken and such. Several places to sit and eat and wide comfy booths.

Love the location of this Sardi's. There's plenty of parking and the service is great. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich for lunch. I did have to wait a little while for it to be prepared. It didn't disappoint. It was well seasoned, loaded with steak, and freshly prepared. I'd recommend this if you visit Sardi's and not in the mood for chicken. I also sampled grill lamb while I was here. It was delicious. Lamb is definitely a future option.

I'm used to the Sardis location in Alexandria VA and just felt the freshness of the food there was miles ahead of this Clinton location! It may just have been me coming at a bad time as my sides tasted like they were out for a while

Fresh food with healthy options . I stopped here with my sister after church and while there was a lot of foot traffic (pick up, door dash, and dine in orders) the staff was very efficient, polite, and helpful. My food was fresh and the servings provided a great value. The Brussels and carrots were seasoned so well (as were the green beans because I tried my sister's) and my chicken was flavorful. Also enjoyed my empanada but wished it had its own sauce to accompany it. I was definitely please with my meal and will definitely return when I'm back on town!

First things first, the location of this Sardis is beautiful. You can clearly see the investment, which is wonderful. Now onto the food, the portions were big and shareable. Great for a family meal! I appreciated that it was hot and fresh. As you'll see in the photos, the presentation was very good. However, it was all too salty to enjoy (except for the plaintains). All of our group reacted the same way. While it's not for me, I know it will do well in the area.

I enjoy the food but I'm done. Hair was in my food! Freaking gross! I really wish the establishments in our area would do better.

One of my favorite "fast food" go-to's right in my backyard?!?! Win-Win! The Woodyard Road location is doing their thing (for the most part) as far as the food and cleanliness of the restaurant is concerned. They have some logistical kinks to work out ... lines, traffic flow, etc. buttttt the hostess, ASHLEY was ON POINT at my last visit. She was giving TOP SHELF customer service to EVERYONE! I watched Ashley effortlessly work the room - helping with orders, giving out courtesy cups, directing traffic and more ... AND HER SMILE & PLEASANT ATTITUDE NEVER CHANGED! Friends, Ashley's personality made up for one of the little wingettes Sardi's sold me as a 3-piece dark. (See pic) Nevertheless, the food was still GOOD. I'm still a Sardi's fan. I'm just hoping for normal sized chicken portions and that all of their hostesses are like ASHLEY.

Honestly I'm a little surprised that this Peruvian Restaurant in Clinton has many negative reviews, because my experience has been super positive. I work part time in a retail store nearby so this spot has opened recently and since it's not too far, I wanted to give it a try; it was perfect! A quarter dark chicken would fill you up but I went with half dark chicken and two red sauces. In my opinion it was yummy as heck. As a side, I went with double French fries which just came out fresh. Overall, food was amazing! People serving food was different than chipotle kind of people. They were friendly and presentable especially the lady at the register. She was smiling the whole time. I paid total of $16.43 that includes half dark chicken and two sides for $15.50 as well as 93 cents for sales tax. Price was okay but not great. Finally, it's huge inside. This is not the first time I'm going to a Sardis restaurant. There was another one by College Park so it was no different than those. Nothing fancy. One thing I noticed is that there was a lady who was consistently cleaning the tables which makes a difference! Considering that there are not many restaurant options in this neighborhood, this Peruvian restaurant is highly recommended. I'll be back!

I pre-ordered via an app. I arrived right on time. My food was neatly wrapped and waited to be bag. Due to Human Error, I would have not gotten the perfect sandwich that night, had the wonderful Chef not taken time out to answer my questions. He worked quickly with diligence and before I knew it, myself and the staff were all conversation and smiles. This spot has a private parking lot in the rear, albeit tight but with 2 entrance/exits. The door to the restaurant facing the street, Woodyard Road. There's a small dining room to eat or await your order. Everything seemed to be neat and orderly. Now for the food: Steak and Cheese. Very good. Good execution. Everything tasted fresh and it was still hot when I arrived home. The first half of my half sub(8 inches) was gone in 60 seconds. Jk but it was done to order and this Chick was so satisfied. I endorse this sandwich.

There is limited bar seating along the walls to sit and wait or eat your food. The staff there was friendly, but I will admit that my interaction with them was limited. They serve assorted barbecue including pulled pork, ribs, pulled chicken, smoked chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, brisket, fish, corn, BBQ beans, and green beans. I got the smoked wing combo with a side of collard greens and a side of candied yams. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and it was ok. The yams were heavy on cinnamon flavor, which drowned out the regular taste. The greens were good. The wings were ok. I got them in hot sauce they just did not taste as I expected. They did not have much flavor and were not as firm as I like. I will say that the sides came in larger containers than I am use to at other similar barbecue restaurants. I had high hopes for this place, but the food did not really deliver. I hope that it wa sjust an off day and am willing to try this place again.

I went to Mix and Mingle: Coffee and Lounge on a Friday night for my cousin's birthday, and overall…read morethe vibe was really nice. First Fridays are clearly a big deal there because the place was packed, the Gogo band was good, and the atmosphere was fun. I ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table and ordered a drink for myself, a drink for my cousin, and some shrimp. The food and drinks were actually good, so I can definitely see why people like coming here. What frustrated me was the pricing and gratuity situation. After looking at the menu, I saw it mentioned a 20% gratuity for parties of four or more, so I didn't think that applied to me since I was sitting at the bar with no table. I even asked the waitress if I could order food at the bar and she said yes, but nobody explained there would still be an automatic gratuity added. The drinks were $12 each and the bang bang shrimp were $13, so I was confused when my total came out to almost $50 and not realizing I added additional to the tip. I had to ask for the receipt multiple times before I finally saw the gratuity charge unbeknownst to me. I think the restaurant/menu needs to be a lot more upfront and clear about when gratuity is automatically added... and that's whether it's for First Fridays, live bands, bar service, or anything else. Being surprised by service fees, automatic gratuity or any hidden fee not clearly mentioned, for me, can leave a bad impression even when the food and atmosphere are good. As a small business, there are already stereotypes and complaints people make about hidden fees and pricing, and situations like this unfortunately don't help that narrative. With that said, I still plan to come back because I genuinely enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. I just wish the pricing and gratuity policies were communicated more clearly from the beginning... especially in this economy!

The woman who checked us out was an absolute delight, warm, funny, and exactly what you hope for at a local farm stand. Unfortunately my experience in the herb section was the opposite. When I asked about strawberry plants and was told they didn't have any, I mentioned I was a first time gardener and asked if she could recommend something beginner friendly. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.

Yo girl been trying to eat a little healthier and was looking for some baked or grill fish. This restaurant did deliver. The grill tilapia and broccoli was pretty good. The portion size was on point. My son wanted their crab cake burger which I had to taste and it was delicious. They offer mumbo sauce with their fries and it is banging. Got a nice little kick to it. The corn on the cob is so so. Its not bad but I just had better. Its too greasy for corn on the cob too. So confused about that. Any who, I spent $40 for everything which was reasonable for 2 meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cashiers here are super friendly which is always appreciated because its seems like people are losing basic manners. So thanks ladies for your kindness it didnt go unnoticed. Would I recommend this restaurant, yeah I would. Its not spectacular but its pretty good and you get enough food for the price. That itself is worth it. So go and visit so we can keep restaurants like this open in our community.

There are surprising number of chicken options here for a place called, "This Is Seafood", but not quite as many seafood options as I hoped. I was really looking forward to getting an order of fried scallops for lunch and I was a little disappointed they didn't have them on the menu. I decided to get the Combo #4: 3 whole wings, 6 fried shrimp, and my choice of 1 piece of fish and side dish. For my fish, I chose fried catfish and for my side I chose hush puppies. The combo also came with a fountain drink. I decided to mix their house-made lemonade and house-made iced tea and it made the perfect half-and-half. The wait wasn't too bad, as the food was being freshly made. It was piping hot and crispy when I received it. Those shrimp were huge! Some of the biggest fried shrimp I've ever had...And not those butterfly shrimp either. Whole shrimp, and the tail was removed so I didn't have to worry about accidentally crunching on one of the shells. The catfish was delectable! Perfectly seasoned, delightfully crispy, and absolutely melted in my mouth. So good. I'm coming back for the catfish if nothing else. The wings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy, but they were a bit too light on the seasoning for my taste. And the mumbo sauce tasted too similar to barbecue sauce. I did not like that, so I ended up saving the rest of the wings until I got home to put my own mumbo sauce on them. The hush puppies were also really good. I like that they were fried perfectly and weren't greasy... Even after reheating them. Overall, my lunch cost me about $25 and it was enough food for at least two meals. Can't beat that. I'll be back for that catfish.
