This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. A couple days ago the employee I interacted with was dismissive, unprofessional, and acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. My order took much longer than expected, and when I asked a simple question, I was met with a rude attitude instead of a helpful response. The overall experience left me frustrated, and it made me question whether customer service is taken seriously at this location. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place unless significant improvements are made to how customers are treated. Such a tasty treat! I've been to several Tropical Smoothie Cafes and they are always consistently great. They're clean, the staff is quick with orders, and I never feel disappointed with my visit. This last time was no different. I ordered a couple of my favorites: the Sunrise Sunset Smoothie with Ginger, and the Three Cheese Chicken 'Dilla. The Quesadilla was SUPER yummy with lots of gooey melted cheese and the most tender shredded chicken. I also really like that the tortilla is on the thinner side so you can truly appreciate what's on the inside, not to mention the red sauce on the side complements the Quesadilla's flavors so well while giving it a little more of a kick. As for the Smoothie, I am a stickler about smoothie consistency and they always NAIL it. It's not very thick and more on the thinner side without having to ask for it extra blended just the way I like it. The fruity flavors come together so well for an excellent refreshing drink, and the added Ginger gives it a delicious zing. I'd definitely give this location a visit! Their customer service is horrible. I placed my order for just a peanut butter smoothie via the app and let them know that I will pick it up at 5:45 pm. I realized that traffic was very bad today and called them to let them know to make my order ready for me to pick up at 6pm. I told them that ten minutes before my original order pick up time. I thought everything was good after ending the phone call. I get to the place to pick up my order at 6:02 pm. I let them know who I was and expected them to hand me my order. I was very wrong to expect that. I was promptly told that my order hadn't been made yet and that was it. She never apologized for the inconvenience. I finally got my order at 6:10 pm. Good customer service matters. Things like this make me not want to give a place a second chance. I like their food and smoothies, but I am seriously considering never giving them my money again. read more

Did not realize this location was so easy to get to from my office. Very easy location right off of Fred and Medical in the Med Center area. They are very quick during the lunch hour especially when using the app for order ahead. Have never had any wait for the orders and I always like that they have the smoothies being chilled when you order ahead. I enjoy all the food items but typically will get either a Baja wrap or a Jerk Chicken wrap. Food always tasty and fresh. I have not eaten inside but always appears clean and definitely spacious if ever busy. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend if looking for something healthy in the Med Center area. read more

Smoothies were fine. They were about $10 each but a good size. I preordered and when I walked in, there were two people behind the counter prepping food and drinks (not mine). No other customers were in the store. Neither employee acknowledged me though they could both see and hear me walk in. I did not see that there was a shelf for pickup orders by the front door (I would have had to turn around to see it). I hovered trying to make eye contact, expecting one of them to ask what I needed or at least tell me they will be with me in a minute. One person made eye contact and then just walked in the back. I sat down facing the register and waited. The other person finished what they were doing, and eventually looked at me and asked if I needed something. She then walked over to the pickup area and I grabbed my drinks. If I hadn't already ordered and paid, I would have walked out. I got a free drink because of a T-Mobile Tuesday deal, and I got the Bahama Mama. It was delicious! I would say it's sweet but it wasn't too sweet, and it had a good balance. My friend got the Bahama Mama but also added açaí to it, which was also good. The original Bahama Mama had a more tart initial taste which then became sweet, while the Bahama Mama + açaí had a more mellow, sweet initial taste with the tartness showing up towards the end. I think the açaí was a pretty strong flavor though. The place was very clean and well lit. I waited maybe 10 minutes for my drink, but I think they had a lot of online and in-person orders due to this promotion, so it could've been that they were swamped with orders. But they were friendly and prompt with taking my order. For a first-time visitor I had a good experience! read more

It Was my first time trying tropical smoothie, I got several good sounding recommendations from the tall girl working, she was very nice and attentive and had my smoothie ready in what seemed like seconds, the place was clean and is definitely a hidden gem, definitely recommend and will be back next summer when I visit. read more

I've gone to tropical smoothie in Med Center twice, the last time being today. Both times I asked for no cheese and both times there was loads of cheese in my wrap. I had to give away my sandwich both times due to food allergy and skipped lunch for the workday. It even stated no cheese on my ticket. Amazing service. Walked in and was greeted with smiles and was attended to as if i was in a sit down restaurant. All the employees check in on a constant basis with everyone in the cafe to see how we were doing. The Assistant manager, did not get her name sadly, was AMAZING!
