I arrived mid-morning on a Saturday where several people were enjoying smoothies or juices outside. When I went inside, there was only one other family inside getting their orders. I went right up front and spoke to the employee about their recommendations and how everything worked. I signed up for their loyalty club and placed an order for a fruit smooth (Tropical Strawberry consisting of strawberry, pineapple, orange, and banana though I left out the banana). It was ready quite quickly and was very tasty and fruity. Paradise Juice is locally owned and has been in service since 2000 as the blend fresh fruits, vegetables, and superfoods into energizing and vibrant drinks. Their mission is to serve real, refreshing goodness. They serve seasonal smoothies, superfood smoothies, super smoothies, Valley favorite smoothies, fruit smoothies, vegetable juices, acai bowls, sandwiches and wraps, breakfast items, salads, bakery items, and more. This is one of two Paradise Juice locations (with the other being in Arcadia). A minute later she comes back with our food and ALL of them are cold. Plates are hot but food is cold and dry. We ended up waiting 60 minutes for food that was mediocre. The pistachio was a nice touch that was the primary flavor, and there was no grit from the protein or random flavors coming through. The Golden was also very good, and the cinnamon was the main flavor. It tasted like a sweet treat versus a healthy digestive aid. Over the past 12 years, we have literally purchased hundreds of Freezes, so we are very familiar with what a standard size 2 portion looks like. Our first visit to the Scottsdale Quarter location was disappointing. The Freeze serving size was noticeably smaller, approximately half of what we've consistently received at other Pressed Juicery locations. At the time, we didn't say anything to the server, but we did feel disappointed considering the price of $18 for two Freezes. We recently visited the Scottsdale Quarter location again on June 27th while shopping in the area, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, we had the same issue. The product did not even reach the rim of the cup, and the portion size again felt significantly smaller and a rip off. This time, I politely brought up the difference in portion size and shared photos as proof of what is consistent across several other Pressed Juicery locations compared to what we received at Scottsdale Quarter. The response I received was dismissive, and with an attitude the employee stated that this was the "correct" portion size. We will not be returning to this location. I would recommend visiting a different location to get a portion size aligned with $8.95 per cup and not served with a bad attitude.
