My family and I love going to Tropical Cafe and this was my first time at this location. No one acknowledged me when I walked in, they're too busy w their tasks. Not friendly at all. The cashier rushed me and looked bother that I was there. When the guy gave my drink I said thank you and he didn't respond and turned around. Wow! This location was so fast! I paid for my Island Green smoothie, which I highly recommend, and their staff instantaneously curated this delicious smoothie within 60 seconds. It could probably be considered the Guinness world record for a smoothie order delivery. Great food options too here! The vibe inside is a bit rustic/modern - it has a nice feel! Very disappointed I got a reward for a free smoothie and came in to the store to use and the guy told me to come again tomorrow because it wasn't working on his screen it said item not found, I came the next day to buy more food and use the free smoothie reward and he tells me the same thing , very rude , he keeps telling me to try again tomorrow had me waiting for 5 minutes pretending he was doing something on the screen. read more

Horrible service I walked in not greeted but the lady that I held the door for was greeted immediately and waited on. While 2 people behind the counter saw me never greeted or even waited on me as I waited patiently one employee was looking at the other to see if they were going to help me. If you're thinking about having lunch here please rethink it. This particular tropical smoothie is very disorganized. Ordered a chicken Cesar veggie wrap and hummus veggie wrap. Waited almost 25 minutes for it. Then when I get the bag with the wrap in it , it only had the chicken Cesar wrap done. I was told the other wrap will be out shortly. Another five minutes past and I had to rush back to work before even getting to eat my food. Like I said if you're thinking a quick lunch for a lunch break I would think again. Just had the worst experience at this location on dale mabry. Very bad customer service. I ordered a detox island green smoothie which cost $6.41. The smoothie was watered down. They added too much ice and water. Everyone knows mango pineapple and banana will over power spinach and kale but i could only taste some bits of green and water. I told them the smoothie was watered down. The lady replied I made it perfect. Usually when a customer isn't satisfied with there product they make it over. She refuses to make it over. I basically wasted $6 dollars. I will never go back to this location. Today evening I visited this store for the second time ever. Upon arrival there were three employees working. My friend and I placed an order for three smoothies and one flat bread. I requested for one of the drinks to be a custom drink made with banana, strawberry, milk and frozen yogurt. I stepped outside and waited for my order. When I came back the manager on duty (04/19/2021 8:20 PM) was not sure which to go bag belongs to me. She handed me one of the bags that was on the pick up counter and told me this is it in a unsure tone. So I checked the receipt and it was not mine. She told me even though the receipt is wrong the items in the bag are correct and then tossed the incorrect receipt. So I took my order and left. As soon as I got out and tasted my drink I realized it is not what I ordered. It was straight up water/ ice and food artificial flavor. No strawberries, no banana, not even the taste. So I went back inside and explained exactly what ingredients I wanted more than four times and told the staff that I will be waiting outside for it to get ready. After 5 minutes I went back inside and the store manager told me in a rude way "we do not have milk here so we can't make your drink". I asked if it can be made with frozen yogurt and water in leu of milk and she responded in the same rude tone "we don't have frozen yogurt neither". So I requested for a refund since she already took my drink back. She ask me for my receipt that she actually through away because it was not the right one in my flatbread bag. I ask if she can give me a refund using my credit card and she refused to do so as well. This is not the type of customer service you want to run a business in this line work. I will await a response from the store owner before I post this in every possible review platform; in hope that they actually care about their business and don't want one bad employee reflect on others. read more

Worst experience, bad customer service. Food was cold and look at the picture and how they make it. Tell me if you will eat that... It was easy fix, add to pieces of chicken and tomato, but instead Rene say NO, I ask for return and he call the manager, and they wanted to refund me just $3 when they price before tax is $7 and change, and the excuse was because I order also a smoothie which anyway was wrong because I pay $12.67 for everything, then he gave me $6 back, by the I was already upset, finally after keep talking on the phone with the manager Nerav they give me back all the money, first didn't even want to give me my receipt, finally instead of at lease leave me with the smoothie for the bad experience Rene took it back.
