I come here often with my gym partner to get smoothies after a workout, can't really speak on their food, but their smoothies are great, sometimes they make them perfect, on occasion it's too thick like too much ice was added, but they're normally pretty quick unless their drive-thru is slammed. So I personally didn't experience anything bad attitude-wise--the staff was polite--but like others have mentioned, it takes a long time for them to make your order. Even when you place your order online several minutes in advance, there's still a long wait. I had just ordered a Peanut Paradise smoothie, and it still wasn't ready 15 minutes after I arrived. As a former Tropical Smoothie employee, I know how things should run, and the service when it comes to preparing food and smoothies really needs to improve. I've had multiple bad experiences here but I'll only list the biggest three. After waiting 35 minutes in the drive through I was reluctantly greeted by the cashier who was wearing black latex gloves that probably had not been changed all day. The gloves still had chunks of wet food on it as she handled my card, drink, and wrap. Repulsing. Wait times are always horrendous even if it's only one person ahead of you and sometimes the smoothies aren't even blended all the way and you'll get chunks of ice and greens preventing you from sipping through the straw. I stopped by to cool off with one of there amazing smoothies. I went with the Detox Island Green. It's big and refreshing with lots of healthy veggies and fruits in it. I went to the drive thru which was fairly quick. The menu board is a bit hard to see because of the small letters. The outside does not look well maintained as far as looks and landscape. The service was ok, not really friendly but not rude either. The smoothie was on point, so no complaints there. read more

So this review is not so much about the products as it is about the service! I understand that there is a lack of labor resources but customer service should still be priority. I went to the spot to pick a door dash order. It was around 12:30-1pm and when I got there, the door was locked. No sign, no "drive thru only"...nothing. It was clear they were open but from the look of it they never even unlocked the door to the pubic. I finally got in. There were 4 people working on drive thru orders and no one acknowledged me. I'm not the one to leave a review, but I feel like this situation should be known. I came through the drive through and was greeted with an attitude. I get it, I work in the customer industry myself and she may have been dealing with something outside of work but that shouldn't be taken out on a customer. I order my food then she tells me to pull around without giving me a total. I pull forward then scan my app for rewards then she looks at me ready for payment and still haven't given me a total yet. The whole interaction was just silence/ rude and I felt like an inconvenience to her getting my food. Then I ask for a side of ranch and I say thank you and she rolls her eyes and says nothing. The girls name goes by Deja R on the receipt and hopefully she treats customers better than I got to experience. I ordered the Hummus Veggie wrap. It was the worst wrap I have ever had. There was no avocado, no pepper Jack, and maybe 1/4 a teaspoon of very bland hummus. It was mostly just rice. I love Tropical Smoothie's food and smoothies but this location seems to struggle way too often. 4 out of 5 visits, you will be waiting 20-30 minutes for food/smoothie. When you enter the drive thru, you are stuck if someone pulls in behind you due to the curb that is on both sides of you. Sometimes this location does not offer food without warning. I came here yesterday for lunch having not been in several months. I ordered the Baja chicken wrap with a side of jalapeño corn and a strawberry chai lemonade smoothie. They did away with chips as sides as they are no longer an option when ordering through the app and we're not visible in the store. I was a little disappointed as chips are usually my go-to side when getting a wrap/sandwich, but not a huge deal. My order was ready when I arrived and there was no line for me to wait in. The wrap was delicious, as always, but I have a few comments. First off it didn't seem like there were any onions in the wrap as ordered. Also the size of the wraps seemed to have gotten smaller since the last time I got food here. I used to have trouble finishing the whole thing with the side and smoothie, but I found myself still a little hungry afterwards. The jalapeño corn was amazing and I'm glad I tried it. I'll probably be back every once in a while because the food is great, but with the decrease in size I don't see it as worth the price you pay as it used to be. read more

Food is OKAY, at best. Service takes WAY TOO LONG. You can't even escape the line unless you want to drive over a curb, but then you also have to get through the light pole obstacle. Have 30 minutes to spare because that's how long it'll take you to get your shit. The place is dirty and the staff is very unprofessional and unhygienic. No hats, no gloves. They'll give you your cup leaking and with the top half off. Food is half-assed. The drive through worker hasn't even opened the window yet and it has been 10 minutes, I guess she doesn't want my money. I have been disappointed twice in one week at the North Point Blv location. First on Monday,I arrive around 8:15am (opens at 8:00am) and sat in the drive-thru in which no one was there. Drove around to the front and seen someone at the counter. I asked if they were open and they said No, that they were running late. The manager then slammed the tills in the drawers at 8:30am and took my order. Then today I drive out of my way to give it another try and they were closed during regular business hours do to "maintenance issues" . So off to Smoothie King I went and will continue to go. The food and smoothies are delicious, but you do need to set your expectations that because everything is made fresh, it takes a little longer to make. The smoothies are pretty fast, but the food takes 15-20 minutes most of the time. That said, the staff at this location were much better than the location off Hanes Mall Blvd where the staff is HORRIBLE!! My son and I both Love TS and are excited for a new location after deciding to never go to the other location because of their service. Most importantly, there needs to be a clean sweep of the staff.
