    Absolutely filthy room
    Nichole B.

Yikes! The front desk staff was great, but that's the only positive thing I can really say. The rooms are old and need updating, but I expected that. What I didn't expect was that the room would look like it hadn't been cleaned for months. All dressers, tables, the tv and shower curtain were covered in grime (see my pic). There were long dark hairs on the bed and the pillows were so flat and hard that I felt like I was sleeping on a door mat. I booked the hotel room for two nights, but after the first night I bailed and booked a room elsewhere.

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of this hotel. It's too bad when Caesar's took over that they didn't do room renovations on all the rooms. We stayed here on 12/31/2025 to celebrate NYE. It's not a hotel we normally stay @ when visiting Laughlin but it was inexpensive. The room we had was soooo plain! There wasn't one picture up on the walls. No refrigerator in the room, barely any outlets & not one close to my bed. The TV was super small...time to upgrade guys! Our view out of our window was of the parking garage. We just stayed one night & was really only in our room to sleep. We stayed out late & ended up passing out after getting back to our room that we over slept & woke up around 11:20am. Ooops...check out is @ 11am but no one came knocking on our door so we quickly got up & headed out. We never used the shower so I can't tell you how the water pressure is. Check in was easy & I didn't have to wait in line very long. Lady @ the desk was nice. The one thing that I really enjoyed was how packed the casino was. It's never that busy anymore but it was NYE but after it was over the casino was empty. I did enjoy playing Wizard Of Oz machine & actually won a little bit this trip. They have a really nice gift shop. I don't like staying over on this side & away from the river. We did walk over to Riverside as that's one of our favorite casino's & it's about a 30min walk over there. I kinda wished I paid the extra money to stay elsewhere. But hey @ least I got some points on my Caesar's players card!

Pastries while you gamble or hangout at poolside, perhaps bring it your hotel room.

I had a great time at the Tropicana Casino and lounging in the bar area. There's a huge parking lot and plenty of amenities inside to keep you busy, from boutiques and an arcade to a pool area, food, and beverages. Like many casinos, when you gamble, drinks are complimentary. My hubby got free Coors Light while he was gambling. I played the slot machines, which were fun, and I also played Three Card Poker, which was a good time. I really appreciate the atmosphere here. They have tall ceilings and a well thought out layout. The lounge area makes for a comfy spot to relax and read while enjoying some food and tea.

Decided on a random vacation and decided to stay here for a few days. Hotel looks like it's had a renovation, room was nice and clean Bed very comfortable Water pressure great water nice and hot

Took a quick trip to Laughlin for a family event and decided to switch things up since I usually stay at the Riverside. This place felt a lot smaller than I expected, and getting back to my room was a bit confusing at times. There also weren't many dining options, which was a little disappointing That said, the room itself was the highlight of my stay. It was clean, comfortable, and the bed was great. I had a window with a view of the surroundings and the morning sunshine coming through made it cozy over while the property had some downsides (for me) the room definitely stood out and made the stay enjoyable.

Stopped in for dinner Antone of their restaurants. Place was jumpin' and well staffed!

I'm not sure what this is, but it was in the bathroom when we got there.

We went to Laughlin and stayed at the Tropicana for my husband's 60th birthday. Though the people were very nice, the room was atrocious. It was so disgusting. The chair looked like it had specimens from at least 10 men on it. Everything is out of date and worn out. I paid extra to upgrade thinking it would be a better room and it wasn't. This definitely is our last stay here. If anything will Airbnb in the area, but never again. I would recommend highly not staying at this place.

About a 2 inch opening in the elevator showing it go down 14 floors, a women with sandals can get seriously hurt

Absolutely horrible hotel, I've been on countless trips and this hotel has been the only one I write a review on. First off the internet is horrendous, the AC is older than George Washington and does not work when it is about 80 degrees in the room and it is 110 degrees outside which shows the AC does not work what so ever. My family found blood on the sheets which shows room service obviously doesn't do their job, we even called the front desk multiple times to try and get towels which they never gave us any so we had to go complain for some. Another reason is that the toilet does not flush at all, and the elevators feel so unstable and even has a 1-2inch opening revealing how far it goes down, you can easily hurt your feet entering. 0-10 hotel I seriously do not recommend to anyone!!!! (I had to write this on my notes because yelp wouldn't even open... this is how bad the internet is.)

    Electronic machine $2.00extra

Great service! If you are a beginner don't hesitate to ask the staff; they are patient and are happy o help. Renting the extrinsic machine is $2.00 extra, if you need a sober it's an additional $1.00. A round of games lasts an hour. Come 30 minutes ahead to get free nonalcoholic beverages, mark the bingo cards, and find a seat. Plenty of seating for a crowd.

Ask the Community - Tropicana Laughlin - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Is the river walking distance doesn't look like it but if someone can let me know or if there's a shuttle to the river from the Tropicanajust looking to make sure can hit the river pretty easy during the day time?

5 minute walk. It's across the street. There's also a free shuttle to Harrahs which is on the river.

    Refrigerator, micrwave, coffeemaker?

You hafta pay extra for a tiny fridge, while small coffeemakers come standard. We stayed in THREE DIFFERENT ROOMS spanning both towers during our stay- Not a microwave to be found in any of them!

Which tower is the East Tower, I'm assuming it's the newer larger tower, am I correct?

Nope. The East Tower, aka Casino Tower, is the original tower, featuring larger rooms but dark hallways, woefully slow plumbing and popcorned ceilings.…

    Do they have boat parking?

    Yes on back

Is there any transportation to/from the beaches? How is the taxi situation there right now? Does Trop Laughlin partner with any taxi companies to call or have any recommendations?

No beaches except at Harrah. There is big bend park, and a park at base of damn, but no beach.

Can you gamble at the bar with those machines were you just sit in your seat drink and gamble? Machines usually have poker keno and blackjack. Also are the restaurants running on a regular schedule now

You can gamble at the bar. Half the restaurants are closed during the week except for the Carnegie Deli but they are so short staffed I was waiting for over twenty minutes on a Wednesday night to be seated, while people were standing at the cash…

Do the rooms have a fridge?

Some do and some don't. Request a room with a fridge.

Does the Tropicana have adjoining rooms?

    Yes

What happened to the buffet? Are they reopening soon? It was my all time favorite now I gotta go to Riverside 😤

I believe so when we were there a month ago they had that whole area masked off, I guess they are remodeling it.

What is the check in time?

I think it's 3 but they have let me check in early every time I've ever been.

    How much for 1 night?

Varies by season, day of the week, what events/concerts are in town, etc. Prices will also change as the dates near and rooms fill up.

We stayed here for an April weekend for a country music concert that was in town…read more I made the reservation in December. The price was very reasonable for one of the newly remodeled king suites in the North Tower. I was able to pay half at booking and the other half at check-in. I got an email the morning of check-in allowing me to bypass the regular check-in process and check in online. I was very disappointed when I arrived to the hotel realizing I had to get in a long line and do the check-in process again even though I already did it and put my credit card down online. What is the point of offering early check-in? The second disappointment was the elevator situation. There are six elevators in the north tower. It appears that all of them are working. However, it was always a long line of people to go up and down. We got to our room, which was spacious and nicely decorated. However, it was not very clean. I had to use Clorox wipes and go over all the surfaces which still had unknown substances on them as well as a buildup of dust. For just being renovated, the room is still very dated. It was mostly cosmetic changes not a true renovation. On the plus side of the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the water pressure in the shopper was fantastic. The biggest issue I had during my stay was the lack of maid service. We called down on Saturday morning to advise that we were leaving for the afternoon and would like some fresh towels and our room serviced. When we got back Saturday evening, the only thing that had been done was some new towels were thrown on the couch. The garbage was not removed. Neither was the old towels, and the bed was not made. When I did the online check-in and specifically asked if I would like the room cleaned while I was there and I checked, yes. While we were here, we tried Guy Fieri's Mexican restaurant. It was fantastic. The service was great. It was probably the best guacamole I have ever had. I highly recommend making a reservation. We had reservations at the range steakhouse the next night. It is a nice restaurant but very dated. There are nice views of the river. The stakes were very overpriced for what we were given. The lobster mac & cheese was pretty terrible. Our waitress was very nice and quick though. Check out was easy since I was actually able to do that online and not have to wait in line again. Parking was easy and free.

Also, there might be 7 television channels available but we had a great river view. We stuck to eating at the different themed casinos within the Lodge. We went to Red Dragon and tried the pot stickers & pork char siu with rice; sadly no sauces were available & the staff seemed very frustrated not having the necessary supplies. By the way, they will not pour a drink in a paper cup for you in case you want to take it outside for some reason. Still it was cheap with a total of $10.80 for both dishes. We also tried a personal pepperoni pizza at Dotty's, which wasn't bad just not very hot/ warm. I believe that cost was $7.00. The last thing we tried was a pot roast dip sandwich at U1 that included fries & au jus. The flavor was good but the sandwich had no cheese at all; cost $7.00. If you are planning a wedding here read on : My daughter was married at this establishment on June…read more19th, and as the person who paid for the event, I would like to share my feedback regarding our experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with several aspects of the wedding. First, the photographer who was recommended by the venue did not meet our expectations. For a cost of $600, we expected much better quality. The lighting in many of the photos was poor, several special moments were missed, and there were very few photographs taken during the ceremony itself. This was especially disappointing because those moments cannot be recreated. The food was another major concern. While I did not hear many complaints about the Prime Rib, the Chicken Piccata was completely bland, barely warm, and the asparagus was overcooked to the point of being mush. Many of our guests, myself included, left most of the chicken plate untouched. It honestly resembled a microwaved frozen dinner rather than a freshly prepared wedding meal. Considering our reception consisted of only 28 adults and approximately 11 children, there is no reason the food should have been served in that condition. There was also confusion regarding dessert. We were never informed that dessert was included for the adult guests. Had we known, we would not have purchased a three-tier wedding cake. Unfortunately, the cake sat out for several hours, causing the layers to begin collapsing. Staff repeatedly attempted to repair it with additional icing as the topper sank into the top layer. I requested multiple times that the cake be refrigerated, but those requests were never acted upon. Although we did receive a small compensation for this issue, it did not make up for the loss of a significant and expensive part of the reception. The service overall was also disappointing. The only staff member who stood out positively was the waitress handling the bar orders. She was attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the evening. In contrast, the rest of the staff appeared disengaged and made us feel as though we were inconveniencing them whenever we needed assistance. Overall, I paid approximately $2,500 for this event, and I do not feel that the quality of the food, service, or overall experience reflected that investment. While the wedding itself was a special day for our family, many aspects of the reception fell well below our expectations. I did voice my concerns with management and I was pretty much told too bad so sad.

Not super overwhelming like others had mentioned. The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean and very roomy! There was no hair left laying around in the bathroom as previously mentioned in other posts. The water pressure in the shower was great, however the shower head was very low. My husband had to squat just to get wet. The toilet was also very low which was a little weird to me. The room came with an iron, ironing board and a blow dryer. Our end table did have an issue with the drawer, it kept opening but it wasn't a deal breaker!! I just so happened to have tape and that did the trick. The temperature knob in our mini fridge was missing so it took us a while to figure out how to make it cooler. The ac kept the room nice and cool but it was very loud, sounded like it was struggling big time. They had a smart TV, we were able to access netflix, amazin prime and another service (i cant remember) The arcade was decent but was prob better for smaller kids. Our kids still enjoyed it. The family pool was beautiful with plenty of sitting areas. It was about 90 something degrees when we went but the water was too cold for me! The kids and my husband had fun on the slides they had. They don't allow outside food or drinks but they had a little bar/snack shack. We did have to pay an additional 15$ for an extra pool wristband. 4 were given for a double bed room. The private beach was very cute but we didn't really spend any time there unfortunately. The ice machine was working and was a short distance from our room. We got panda express pretty late in the day, the food was a little sad but it was expected. We were located in the central tower, maybe all the terrible reviews werw from different areas of the hotel? Who knows. The only positive experience we had was with the bell and valet staff. They were friendly, professional, and incredibly fast every time we needed them. They were easily the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself was another story. The carpet throughout the room had numerous stains, including what appeared to be a large red stain near the bed. The room felt so dirty that I didn't even want my bare feet touching the floor. We ended up sleeping on top of the blankets because we weren't comfortable enough to sleep in the bedding. The bathroom was in poor condition. The bathtub barely drained, leaving standing water while showering. The bathroom exhaust fan was caked with dust, there was visible mildew or mold-like staining near the toilet plumbing, chipped paint and cracks around the bathroom door frame, and gaps around the shower fixture where it wasn't properly sealed. The cleanliness throughout the room was disappointing. The TV remote was covered in dust, the furniture had a noticeable layer of dust, there was dirt and debris behind the furniture, and even the ice bucket had visible residue inside. Overall, it felt like the room hadn't received a thorough cleaning in quite some time. For what this resort charges, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. The property has a great location and friendly valet staff, but management really needs to invest more in housekeeping and room upkeep. Based on this experience, I would not stay here again.
