AC is old but worked great

The entire hotel smells like Tobacco . I was missed lead by the website stating it was a river front hotel and family friendly. They do have movie night at the pool only on wensdays for kids but on every other day kids must be out of the pool at 7pm crazy cause it's 115 degrees right the 24 hour arcade was closed the pizza place was closed and the charge for 4 devices on wife was 100$ thankfully the front desk waved those fees for us . We asked for a pool view we got a garage view . But for the price I guess it's good for just a couple or single person .

I stay here pretty frequently for work. The property itself isn't the most lavish and modern. However, it is clean and upkept. Normal wear and tear for its age. Ample parking and a free shutttle available to travel between properties. Buffets are far and few in southern Nevada so it was nice to see the cafe offered a breakfast buffet option. Brew Brothers is the main thing here with a variety of American bites and refreshments. One thing that I love the most about this location is BINGOOOO! The hall ladies are friendly and fabulous. Every session is different, unlike Vegas. However, they offer helpful info sheets to easily walk you through the rounds and the payouts. Judy is my goodluck charm! One thing that I do love is that when I buy electronic, I can pull whatever packs I want out to play on paper instead of having to buy extra side packs to get my dobber fix. The best part? I hit almost every time I'm here! Woot!

    Absolutely filthy room

Yikes! The front desk staff was great, but that's the only positive thing I can really say. The rooms are old and need updating, but I expected that. What I didn't expect was that the room would look like it hadn't been cleaned for months. All dressers, tables, the tv and shower curtain were covered in grime (see my pic). There were long dark hairs on the bed and the pillows were so flat and hard that I felt like I was sleeping on a door mat. I booked the hotel room for two nights, but after the first night I bailed and booked a room elsewhere.

Your favorite Yelp correspondent writes you from Laughlin, Nevada where and his bride of 29yrs enjoyed a nice, albeit eventful, 3 day, 2 night stay at the Harrah's Tropicana. I'd chosen the Trop because of its Caesar's Resorts affiliation- I've previously stayed at Caesar's Palace, Paris, the Flamingo¹ and was reasonably confident that the Trop would suitably reward my good faith. ¹ I stayed at the Flamingo Hilton, where Elvis Presley once pioneered the entire "artist in residency" format, in the summer of 1994. Bill Clinton sat in the Oval, prior to staining Monica's blue dress; gas was $1.21/g and our rooms cost only $21/night. As it turns out, my faith was repeatedly challenged throughout this getaway weekender that was more "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" mini-vacay turned amok than "Roman Holiday." Lemme, your disheveled but faithful correspondent, recount the ways our expectations were steadily torpedoed: Musical rooms - We changed our room three times in the first 18 hours! We pivoted from room #1 because it lacked the in-suite fridge that this diabetic requires (and had pre-paid for on Expedia). Room #2 was just fine...'til I discovered an awful flood on the bathroom and carpeted hall floors due to... Nasty Plumbing - The toilet scarcely, lazily flushed mere deposits of the watery variety and the bathroom sink failed to drain. Until 1am, when I sleepily traipsed to the bathroom then nearly slipped and fell on the floor, deluged with black, stinky effluence that had apparently disgorged itself from the pipes underneath the sink! Vending Machines from Hell - Several vending machines, ranging from ICE VENDING MACHINES to soda dispensers and even one proudly peddling the Cake Boss Buddy Valastro's famous cakes were all marked with glum "Out of Order" signs. Tight w/ Blankets - The hotel withholds blankets. The beds are dressed with nothing but sheets and a very thin comforter. We hadta request two extra blankets from the housekeeping staff. Not all of our stay was an abject failure. -On-site restaurants include Guy Fieri's "Burro Borracho," (Nacho Average Taco Joint, the poster proclaims) the Brew Brothers and Carnegie's where we enjoyed a "Buy One Full Price, Get 2nd for $1" special on dinner. -The plantation shutters are a nice, whimsical touch in a chain whose rooms lurch from contemporary furniture (good!) to hideous popcorned ceilings ("Three's Company" demands it's set back!) Pro Tip- We did not realize til our arrival that the Tropicana actually is perched ACROSS (CASINO DRIVE) from the Colorado River- Most of its competitor venues like Riverside, Edgewater, Aquarius directly abut the mighty river. AVAIL YOURSELF of the oft-running River Taxi to use the private beach at sister property Harrah's Laughlin Resort! Assistant Hotel Manager Sache "Renae" Mark's deserves plaudits for resolving our complaint to our satisfaction. Renae not only graciously stayed a few minutes beyond her appointed shift departure time to help us, but slashed 30% offve our bill as a token of good will for our plumbing fiasco. Renae's nimble problem solving skills not only warmed our hearts but, by the skin on its teeth, boosted my appraisal from two to three stars.

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of this hotel. It's too bad when Caesar's took over that they didn't do room renovations on all the rooms. We stayed here on 12/31/2025 to celebrate NYE. It's not a hotel we normally stay @ when visiting Laughlin but it was inexpensive. The room we had was soooo plain! There wasn't one picture up on the walls. No refrigerator in the room, barely any outlets & not one close to my bed. The TV was super small...time to upgrade guys! Our view out of our window was of the parking garage. We just stayed one night & was really only in our room to sleep. We stayed out late & ended up passing out after getting back to our room that we over slept & woke up around 11:20am. Ooops...check out is @ 11am but no one came knocking on our door so we quickly got up & headed out. We never used the shower so I can't tell you how the water pressure is. Check in was easy & I didn't have to wait in line very long. Lady @ the desk was nice. The one thing that I really enjoyed was how packed the casino was. It's never that busy anymore but it was NYE but after it was over the casino was empty. I did enjoy playing Wizard Of Oz machine & actually won a little bit this trip. They have a really nice gift shop. I don't like staying over on this side & away from the river. We did walk over to Riverside as that's one of our favorite casino's & it's about a 30min walk over there. I kinda wished I paid the extra money to stay elsewhere. But hey @ least I got some points on my Caesar's players card!

Pastries while you gamble or hangout at poolside, perhaps bring it your hotel room.

I had a great time at the Tropicana Casino and lounging in the bar area. There's a huge parking lot and plenty of amenities inside to keep you busy, from boutiques and an arcade to a pool area, food, and beverages. Like many casinos, when you gamble, drinks are complimentary. My hubby got free Coors Light while he was gambling. I played the slot machines, which were fun, and I also played Three Card Poker, which was a good time. I really appreciate the atmosphere here. They have tall ceilings and a well thought out layout. The lounge area makes for a comfy spot to relax and read while enjoying some food and tea.

Decided on a random vacation and decided to stay here for a few days. Hotel looks like it's had a renovation, room was nice and clean Bed very comfortable Water pressure great water nice and hot

Took a quick trip to Laughlin for a family event and decided to switch things up since I usually stay at the Riverside. This place felt a lot smaller than I expected, and getting back to my room was a bit confusing at times. There also weren't many dining options, which was a little disappointing That said, the room itself was the highlight of my stay. It was clean, comfortable, and the bed was great. I had a window with a view of the surroundings and the morning sunshine coming through made it cozy over while the property had some downsides (for me) the room definitely stood out and made the stay enjoyable.

Stopped in for dinner Antone of their restaurants. Place was jumpin' and well staffed!

Great service! If you are a beginner don't hesitate to ask the staff; they are patient and are happy o help. Renting the extrinsic machine is $2.00 extra, if you need a sober it's an additional $1.00. A round of games lasts an hour. Come 30 minutes ahead to get free nonalcoholic beverages, mark the bingo cards, and find a seat. Plenty of seating for a crowd.

We had a pleasant stay here. The front desk staff were so helpful at checkin. Rooms werent fancy but clean and better than other places! I will say it was a bit disappointing to see an envelope for a housekeeping tip, however there was an empty box of tissues in the bathroom. The bathroom is also where you find the complimentary water (so weird). I did love the bingo here. The 5pm dual dab session was a blast to attend!

I'm not sure what this is, but it was in the bathroom when we got there.

Tropicana Laughlin - A Caesars Rewards Destination Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Tropicana Laughlin - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Is the river walking distance doesn't look like it but if someone can let me know or if there's a shuttle to the river from the Tropicanajust looking to make sure can hit the river pretty easy during the day time?

5 minute walk. It's across the street. There's also a free shuttle to Harrahs which is on the river.

    Refrigerator, micrwave, coffeemaker?

You hafta pay extra for a tiny fridge, while small coffeemakers come standard. We stayed in THREE DIFFERENT ROOMS spanning both towers during our stay- Not a microwave to be found in any of them!

Which tower is the East Tower, I'm assuming it's the newer larger tower, am I correct?

Nope. The East Tower, aka Casino Tower, is the original tower, featuring larger rooms but dark hallways, woefully slow plumbing and popcorned ceilings.…

    Do they have boat parking?

    Yes on back

Is there any transportation to/from the beaches? How is the taxi situation there right now? Does Trop Laughlin partner with any taxi companies to call or have any recommendations?

No beaches except at Harrah. There is big bend park, and a park at base of damn, but no beach.

Can you gamble at the bar with those machines were you just sit in your seat drink and gamble? Machines usually have poker keno and blackjack. Also are the restaurants running on a regular schedule now

You can gamble at the bar. Half the restaurants are closed during the week except for the Carnegie Deli but they are so short staffed I was waiting for over twenty minutes on a Wednesday night to be seated, while people were standing at the cash…

Do the rooms have a fridge?

Some do and some don't. Request a room with a fridge.

Does the Tropicana have adjoining rooms?

    Yes

What happened to the buffet? Are they reopening soon? It was my all time favorite now I gotta go to Riverside 😤

I believe so when we were there a month ago they had that whole area masked off, I guess they are remodeling it.

What is the check in time?

I think it's 3 but they have let me check in early every time I've ever been.

    How much for 1 night?

Varies by season, day of the week, what events/concerts are in town, etc. Prices will also change as the dates near and rooms fill up.

Now, when it comes to the rooms, we had requested a non-smoking room and they told us at time of check-in that there was none available so they gave us what they could which was unsatisfactory. My wife needs her CPAP to sleep at night and last time we stayed at a smoking room. The smell of smoke contaminated her medical device so bad that she had to exchange it for a new one with this in mind she asked again after checking in and inspecting room if there was any non-smoking rooms for this medical reason and they told her no, so she insisted on speaking with management and after speaking with management , they found a non-smoking room on a different floor that they could provide us. What a miracle. The day after we checked out, my wife checked her bank account and noticed that there was a short on the security deposit, and when she called to questioned it, they told her that the maid service had claimed that we had opened up a water bottle that was in the room and that each water bottle is five dollars My wife and I know better than to use any non-complementary item left in the room because we know that the charges are extremely high and when she told the management staff that we did not use any water bottle or any non-complementary item she was told that if the maid service puts it in their report, then they have to charge no matter what, it all lands on the maid service and what they write down on the report. I suggest to all in the future, if you're staying at this location, videotape and take notes of everything that is in the room and the condition that it's in because it may be a tactic that they used to get a little extra money for the hotel. We are truly going to videotape and photograph all these items. Next time we stay if we decide to return and if we do get charged, we will immediately forward these photos of a before and after of the room's items. On the positive side I would like to thank the employees at the rewards desk for all their help. There were strands of hair all over the bathroom, the vents were caked with dust, the carpets were filthy, and the walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There was also a strong odor in the room that management appeared to be trying to cover up with an overpowering deodorizer, but it only made the room more unpleasant. The sinks and toilets were dirty, the refrigerator barely stayed cold, and the air conditioner never cooled the room enough to be comfortable. The pool was dirty, overcrowded, and not enjoyable. The drinks were also extremely overpriced--$17 for a drink that definitely wasn't worth the cost. The casino was another disappointment. After my brother found another employee, we were finally given two alcohol pads, but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. If it had just been my husband and me, we would have packed up and driven the four hours back home or found another hotel. Since we were traveling with our children, we decided to make the best of it. I ended up wiping down the room and bathroom with bleach wipes myself and told the kids to keep their shoes on the entire time because I didn't feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. One final thing that made our stay uncomfortable was the number of stares we received for being Black. I can't say what anyone was thinking, but we had several moments that made us feel unwelcome. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and nowhere near worth the price. Between the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, poor first-aid preparedness, uncomfortable atmosphere, and overall experience, I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast the next morning had the usual solid HIE spread -- eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, hash browns, pancakes, etc. Heads up: there's a $100 incidental deposit at check-in. Mine was refunded fast, but some banks can take up to 10 business days. Booked with IHG points and it was worth it. Second time staying here and it's still the best-reviewed option in the area -- beats anything you'll find across the river in Laughlin. Would stay again.

One of my favorite features was the pool area. It was absolutely immaculate, and I loved that they have a separate kiddie pool with an adorable frog water feature. I've stayed at other IHG properties that didn't offer a kiddie pool, so this was a wonderful surprise for families with young children. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for--quiet, calm, and relaxing. The other guests were respectful, and the front desk staff were genuinely kind, friendly, and professional throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and had a nice variety of options. I also appreciated that they offer fresh coffee, ice water, and lemonade available around the clock at no extra charge, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is another big plus. It's conveniently located directly across the street from Lowe's and Starbucks, and only about eight minutes from the Laughlin Riverwalk and casino district. You can easily enjoy the attractions nearby and then return to a peaceful hotel away from the crowds.
