I would say over all experience is 3. I've read other reviews and I'd say the same thing. The casino reek's of cigarettes. I think this hotel is one of the better ones here in Laughlin. It needs to remodeled. The pool bar opens May1st . You can take drink from the inside bar to the pool. The cove bar does give great service 5 star They make sophisticated drinks there too. Parking wasn't an issue. It's busier during the weekends.

Stayed at Aquarius for 2 days and it was honestly so horrible. The casino non smoking areas were non existent, the rooms were so outdated, stains everywhere and even hand marks on the windows. Also the pool looked like a community pool. We never sleep under the sheets bc my family just doesn't trust hotels (FOR A REASON). But this time we had to bc my sister didn't bring blankets, WE FOUND SOCKS AND OTHER ITEMS UNDER THE SHEETS. WHICH MEANS THEY NEVER CLEANED SHIT. And we paid for the full service, I complained to the front desk and once at check out they gave me 25$ back ???? Like what!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! People don't do their job here, the bus boys were the only helpful people there ! Go to the AVI THATS WHERE THEY ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT GIVING YOU A GREAT SERVICE, maybe not great but what you paid for :)

    The View

Aquarius was a great hotel and the foods were amazing and I had enjoy a good time at the rooms. Also I was happy when I saw that they had fox so I could watch the World Cup and our view was so beautiful in day and night, I hope that you could feel the same at Aquarius!

Wanted to give a shout out to Frenchie! When no one else had an answer and told us 'I don't know' . Frenchie went and found a team member that could assist us. She never once said 'I don't know'. I appreciate her due diligence and her customer service skills. French thank you so much for taking care of us..

    Spacious and clean.

From escorts checkin to check out we were impressed. Could be the best hotel on the river! Clean and updated rooms. Great restaurants and bars and live entertainment. Affordable prices too!

My view was terrible this time, but overall this is the only place I stay when I'm in town from Vegas. It doesn't have a smoky smell in the room like it does in the casino. The beds are comfortable. The room is spacious. Everything appears to be cleaned. Lots of restaurants downstairs. Lots of bars downstairs. Great view if you get a better room.

Me my wife and my service dog have been here twice. The hotel is great the staff are nice. The Cafe and the server's work hard. This post is for all service dog owners. And mainly the so called owners and dogs. They have a beautiful well kept decomposed granite and greenery area going out to the parking garage. This is where I take my dog for potty. Please be a responsible owner and carry your poop bags to pick up your dogs poop. I got so mad that there was so much poop all around this beautiful walkway that leads to the pool. I'm leaving today and I couldn't take it. I picked up every poop that you all service dog owners have left. You give us a bad reputation and this is why people don't want you at there establishment. It effects us all. From a True Service Dog Owner

I love the gambling area how open and bright it is. I don't feel like I'm sitting in the middle of an ashtray gambling. I wish they had healthier options other than panda express McDonald's, and Subway. The rooms are dated, but completely understandable. What I don't understand is if they're being cleaned why every time I check in my room is filthy. My sheets are clean. The toilet is scrubbed the sink scrubbed out, I guess that's what clean means to them.

    Let's have some fun!

This is favorite casino on the strip in Laughlin when it comes to slot machines. They are also probably the most popular with the tourists as well. The table games are always full and higher minimums then other casinos on the strip. They are also have an Outback Steakhouse here, which is the only reliable restaurant in this town. Bathrooms are clean, parking is a nightmare and it's always a good time!

LAUGHLIN's SEMI-MODERN RESORT!! The Aquarius is in the middle of a remodel, much of the casino and resort has been updated and is continuing to modernize. Several of the restaurants, bars, and common areas are crisp and new! Much of the property feels refreshed. The Aquarius has a gift shop, coffee shop (Duet), McDonald's, Subway and several top-notch restaurants. My favorite was the revamped River Rock Pizza. If you're looking for steak or American fare, there's an Outback and Cafe Aquarius. Outside dining tables are available but I'm not sure for which restaurant. The Splash Bar is a fun spot within the resort with a full bar and live music till 2am on select nights. My parents and I visited during their anniversary and there was no pressure to drink. We hit the dance floor and had a great time! Overall, the hotel rooms were solid, they could use a slight touch up but I enjoyed them. The rooms have INCREDIBLE beds, linens, and pillows. I had the best night of sleep while staying here and I didn't want to part from my mattress upon leaving. Housekeeping ensured everything was bright white and clean. The Aquarius asks that guests call housekeeping if they need their beds made or require new towels, this is to conserve water. Remember to tip the Aquarius' incredible hospitality team! The Aquarius is right next to the Colorado River and has sweeping views of the water. You'll find two towers that make up the resort, the California and Arizona towers respectively. I stayed in the Arizona tower and it was quite comfortable. It's near the check-in/concierge desk. Note: Subway is open 24/7 and hotel parking is FREE.

I'll give a 3 Plenty of parking (free) and valet. Bell boys are available- & don't allow you to cart your own stuff to room. Check in seems easy, you can do thru kiosk of in person. I was offered to upgrade to there new rooms for an additional $$ however I did decline. Large accommodated bathroom in lobby. I prefer non smoking hotels because of the reek, but it is what it is. Loads of slots, tables etc. this particular hotel has a cafe, bar , and restaurant inside. 2 desperate towers. Arizona side seems to have musky halls Fated ice, soda machines, and some tlc in those halls. Rooms dated but not bad. Not immaculate clean but not bad Good size did not seem crammed. They do not have charger outlets , only ones you need a regular plug to. Cafe was good, had a wonderful breakfast special for the month (February) Lunch also had a good special. Pool was not in service during our stay however they made accommodations with the edge water. That pool was kind of gross there. Photos show Aquarius pool much more appealing. Overall I'd be back.

Is there access to a beach?

Harrahs and The Avi have their own beach. Aquarius has a gorgeous view from the riverwalk.

Is the pool open this spring?

The pool was open when I was there a few weeks ago, first week in January, so I imagine it'll be open this Spring as well. Better call hotel before booking to make certain.

Is the Aquarius again requiring people to wear masks? I know this requirement was lifted a couple of months ago but was it reinstated?

    Masks are required indoors.

    Why is this casino haunted?

    Hahaha !!!! if only!

Does this hotel have a Gym?

Yes, I have used the Fitness Center many times. There are a few treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, and weights. It is clean, cool, and not crowded most of the time. Workout towels are available and there is a water fountain.

Is there a fee for early check in?

No but when checking in rooms are based on availability. You can always request early check in but it's never guaranteed.

Are there coffee makers in the room?

Yes, there was a coffee maker in our room.

What is there to do other then casinos ? Never been here

We stayed here for an April weekend for a country music concert that was in town…read more I made the reservation in December. The price was very reasonable for one of the newly remodeled king suites in the North Tower. I was able to pay half at booking and the other half at check-in. I got an email the morning of check-in allowing me to bypass the regular check-in process and check in online. I was very disappointed when I arrived to the hotel realizing I had to get in a long line and do the check-in process again even though I already did it and put my credit card down online. What is the point of offering early check-in? The second disappointment was the elevator situation. There are six elevators in the north tower. It appears that all of them are working. However, it was always a long line of people to go up and down. We got to our room, which was spacious and nicely decorated. However, it was not very clean. I had to use Clorox wipes and go over all the surfaces which still had unknown substances on them as well as a buildup of dust. For just being renovated, the room is still very dated. It was mostly cosmetic changes not a true renovation. On the plus side of the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the water pressure in the shopper was fantastic. The biggest issue I had during my stay was the lack of maid service. We called down on Saturday morning to advise that we were leaving for the afternoon and would like some fresh towels and our room serviced. When we got back Saturday evening, the only thing that had been done was some new towels were thrown on the couch. The garbage was not removed. Neither was the old towels, and the bed was not made. When I did the online check-in and specifically asked if I would like the room cleaned while I was there and I checked, yes. While we were here, we tried Guy Fieri's Mexican restaurant. It was fantastic. The service was great. It was probably the best guacamole I have ever had. I highly recommend making a reservation. We had reservations at the range steakhouse the next night. It is a nice restaurant but very dated. There are nice views of the river. The stakes were very overpriced for what we were given. The lobster mac & cheese was pretty terrible. Our waitress was very nice and quick though. Check out was easy since I was actually able to do that online and not have to wait in line again. Parking was easy and free.

I've never ever in my life experienced such horrible service and a horrible hotel. Since the power is out , no wifi, no AC, cannot check in to rooms at time of arrival. We waited 3 hrs in the hot hallways of this dingy hotel. I wasn't aware that this place was dirty and fowl. We finally were able to check in and we asked to manager if we could get an upgrade or a coupon for a coffee or something or anything, and he said no! He's so rude . Everyone is sweating , tired and looking pretty sad. I tried to get another hotel next door which is the golden nugget and to my Suprise when I went to cancel the Harrah's it was already paid , the payment went through. I can't believe this putrid hotel rang my card when I hadn't even checked in. The golden nugget is much nicer and renovated. Place looks decent and had the air conditioning full blast. Once I finally checked into my room, the air finally worked in a few areas of the hotel But non wifi. What the heck! No tv. I just want to chill and watch some tv. I'm tired , hot and upset . My room is dirty . Finger prints everywhere, door knobs are crusty and have sticky residue on them. Only three outlets inside the room, tv is tiny, the bathroom floor is dirty and has dirt marks all over. I am laying on the bed at a slant right now as I write this review . Tomorrow morning, I'm leaving this poor excuse for a hotel. This place is a mo mo. This is not a hotel. Dirty, dingy, poor customer service . The bald manager guy was rude and didn't know how to respond to this fiasco. Don't stay at The Harrah's . Dirty, poor service, dirty and gross . Neglected to mention , the ice machine on the 5th and 6th floor ran out of ice and the machine on the 6 floor was broken . Place looks like it's from the 70's. The only positive thing I would say is the housecleaning crew are nice and friendly

The River Lodge shows it age, 42 years (I think). No ice machines on any level, no pool, dated decor, carpet & curtains. With this mind we weren't sure what to expect of our room but it was clean, even though the water in the bathroom sink drained slowly, bedding was very comfy and it was quiet throughout the night. Also, there might be 7 television channels available but we had a great river view. We stuck to eating at the different themed casinos within the Lodge. We went to Red Dragon and tried the pot stickers & pork char siu with rice; sadly no sauces were available & the staff seemed very frustrated not having the necessary supplies. By the way, they will not pour a drink in a paper cup for you in case you want to take it outside for some reason. Still it was cheap with a total of $10.80 for both dishes. We also tried a personal pepperoni pizza at Dotty's, which wasn't bad just not very hot/ warm. I believe that cost was $7.00. The last thing we tried was a pot roast dip sandwich at U1 that included fries & au jus. The flavor was good but the sandwich had no cheese at all; cost $7.00. U1 has great affordable food, slots, staff & atmosphere. I would recommend the Lodge to anyone traveling; it's unique, comfy & affordable with no resort fees

Definitely one of the worst hotels I've been to. If you book a room here, the elevator situation is insane. I've never had to wait in a huge line trying to get to my room. I asked a worker if there were stairs that we could use to avoid the massive line and she straight up lied to my face. Once we got to our floor, we checked to see if there was a stair well and sure enough there was a door at the end of our floor hallway leading to the stairs. Also housekeeping just came by knocking loudly at our door at 8:45am when check out time is at 11:00am. We even had the "room occupied" sign hanging on the door handle. Very rude and not okay to disturb guests in their rooms when it's not even close to the check out time. As far as the room itself, A/C doesn't work well, pillows are very thin, and mattress/bedding isn't comfortable. It is crazy and a shame that the Tropicana is in relation to Caesar's because it is not on the same level whatsoever as the one in Vegas. Way below it actually. I'd recommend not coming here. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with several aspects of the wedding. First, the photographer who was recommended by the venue did not meet our expectations. For a cost of $600, we expected much better quality. The lighting in many of the photos was poor, several special moments were missed, and there were very few photographs taken during the ceremony itself. This was especially disappointing because those moments cannot be recreated. The food was another major concern. While I did not hear many complaints about the Prime Rib, the Chicken Piccata was completely bland, barely warm, and the asparagus was overcooked to the point of being mush. Many of our guests, myself included, left most of the chicken plate untouched. It honestly resembled a microwaved frozen dinner rather than a freshly prepared wedding meal. Considering our reception consisted of only 28 adults and approximately 11 children, there is no reason the food should have been served in that condition. There was also confusion regarding dessert. We were never informed that dessert was included for the adult guests. Had we known, we would not have purchased a three-tier wedding cake. Unfortunately, the cake sat out for several hours, causing the layers to begin collapsing. Staff repeatedly attempted to repair it with additional icing as the topper sank into the top layer. I requested multiple times that the cake be refrigerated, but those requests were never acted upon. Although we did receive a small compensation for this issue, it did not make up for the loss of a significant and expensive part of the reception. The service overall was also disappointing. The only staff member who stood out positively was the waitress handling the bar orders. She was attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the evening. In contrast, the rest of the staff appeared disengaged and made us feel as though we were inconveniencing them whenever we needed assistance. Overall, I paid approximately $2,500 for this event, and I do not feel that the quality of the food, service, or overall experience reflected that investment. While the wedding itself was a special day for our family, many aspects of the reception fell well below our expectations. I did voice my concerns with management and I was pretty much told too bad so sad.

Not super overwhelming like others had mentioned. The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean and very roomy! There was no hair left laying around in the bathroom as previously mentioned in other posts. The water pressure in the shower was great, however the shower head was very low. My husband had to squat just to get wet. The toilet was also very low which was a little weird to me. The room came with an iron, ironing board and a blow dryer. Our end table did have an issue with the drawer, it kept opening but it wasn't a deal breaker!! I just so happened to have tape and that did the trick. The temperature knob in our mini fridge was missing so it took us a while to figure out how to make it cooler. The ac kept the room nice and cool but it was very loud, sounded like it was struggling big time. They had a smart TV, we were able to access netflix, amazin prime and another service (i cant remember) The arcade was decent but was prob better for smaller kids. Our kids still enjoyed it. The family pool was beautiful with plenty of sitting areas. It was about 90 something degrees when we went but the water was too cold for me! The kids and my husband had fun on the slides they had. They don't allow outside food or drinks but they had a little bar/snack shack. We did have to pay an additional 15$ for an extra pool wristband. 4 were given for a double bed room. The private beach was very cute but we didn't really spend any time there unfortunately. The ice machine was working and was a short distance from our room. We got panda express pretty late in the day, the food was a little sad but it was expected. We were located in the central tower, maybe all the terrible reviews werw from different areas of the hotel? Who knows. Oh, there only seemed to be luggage carts for those who were parking in valet, that part kinda sucked. We were also a ahirt distance from a gas station, Mc donalds, Starbucks and a few grocery markets. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and will def be visiting again.

I chose this hotel because it was in a nice location, away from the heavy traffic, which was one of…read morethe few positives about our stay. The staff was hit or miss. Some employees were very friendly and helpful, while others weren't welcoming at all. Unfortunately, the rooms were terrible and clearly lacked proper cleaning. The room immediately gave me the heebie-jeebies. There were strands of hair all over the bathroom, the vents were caked with dust, the carpets were filthy, and the walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There was also a strong odor in the room that management appeared to be trying to cover up with an overpowering deodorizer, but it only made the room more unpleasant. The sinks and toilets were dirty, the refrigerator barely stayed cold, and the air conditioner never cooled the room enough to be comfortable. The pool was dirty, overcrowded, and not enjoyable. The drinks were also extremely overpriced--$17 for a drink that definitely wasn't worth the cost. The casino was another disappointment. The amount of cigarette smoke combined with poor ventilation was overwhelming and gave me a headache. One experience that really concerned me involved my 10-year-old nephew. He hurt himself while we were at the pool, and when we asked a staff member for an alcohol pad, we were told they didn't have any. I couldn't understand how a hotel with a pool wouldn't have basic first-aid supplies readily available. After my brother found another employee, we were finally given two alcohol pads, but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. If it had just been my husband and me, we would have packed up and driven the four hours back home or found another hotel. Since we were traveling with our children, we decided to make the best of it. I ended up wiping down the room and bathroom with bleach wipes myself and told the kids to keep their shoes on the entire time because I didn't feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. One final thing that made our stay uncomfortable was the number of stares we received for being Black. I can't say what anyone was thinking, but we had several moments that made us feel unwelcome. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and nowhere near worth the price. Between the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, poor first-aid preparedness, uncomfortable atmosphere, and overall experience, I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
