I would say over all experience is 3. I've read other reviews and I'd say the same thing. The casino reek's of cigarettes. I think this hotel is one of the better ones here in Laughlin. It needs to remodeled. The pool bar opens May1st . You can take drink from the inside bar to the pool. The cove bar does give great service 5 star They make sophisticated drinks there too. The staff was very nice. Giving them one star is just my take on the accessibility of restaurants which I never got to try because of the wait time. Personally I don't like casinos, we cane to see a show. The bus service to the show was great but very unorganized for to load on to the buses to go back. We walked instead. The rooms are in desperate need of updating or deep cleaning. There were disgusting stains on the furniture. I didn't even sit down on any of it. If I could give this place 0 stars I would !! I'm extremely disappointed with my experience here. I presented my valid Tribal ID and was told it would not be accepted. As a Native person, that felt not only dismissive but deeply disrespectful -- especially at a casino. Tribal IDs are legitimate government-issued identification, and being refused without clear explanation was frustrating and embarrassing. The overall environment matched that experience. The staff felt passive-aggressive and unhelpful rather than solution-oriented. Instead of trying to assist or explain policies clearly, the tone was cold and dismissive. The food was also unacceptable. It did not match the price point or expectations for a facility like this. Between the refusal of valid identification, the attitude of the staff, and the poor food quality, I left feeling distressed and unwelcome. Horrible. The food at one of the restaurants has horrible service. Workers behave as though they hate bring there. They barely smile. The food takes 30 to 40 minutes to get to your table. We stayed in a non-smoking room, unfortunately it smelled like cigarette smoke that must've seeped into the walls/carpet. There didn't appear to be adequate air filtration, & smell was very present. The casino itself reeks of smoke. Walking outside along the Riverwalk, we noticed neighboring hotels didn't seem bad. Ironically, all are owned (including this hotel) by the same company. Another downside was the elevators in the California Tower. They were extremely slow, it appeared that 1-2 of the elevators may have been out of service. This caused long waits & you could see the frustration on guests faces, as every elevator ride was always crowded w/long wait. Also worth mentioning: the walls are slightly thin, that we could hear our neighbors' conversations, sneezing (flatulence, etc) on both sides of the room. Blackout curtains don't fully block the windows--as the windows go around the side, the blue neon lights from outside still shine through. On the positive side, hotel does have a beautiful river view. There are plenty of dining options, including some open 24 hours, along w/3 bar lounges, a gift shop that sells various alcohol-besides beer, free parking-valet parking which was very convenient. Also worth mentioning there no resort fees and the beds were comfortable. While the smoke smell & elevator delays were drawbacks, I kept in mind that overall, it does have nice amenities, noted above. read more

I was offered to upgrade to there new rooms for an additional $$ however I did decline. Large accommodated bathroom in lobby. I prefer non smoking hotels because of the reek, but it is what it is. Loads of slots, tables etc. this particular hotel has a cafe, bar , and restaurant inside. 2 desperate towers. Arizona side seems to have musky halls Fated ice, soda machines, and some tlc in those halls. Rooms dated but not bad. Not immaculate clean but not bad Good size did not seem crammed. They do not have charger outlets , only ones you need a regular plug to. Cafe was good, had a wonderful breakfast special for the month (February) Lunch also had a good special. Pool was not in service during our stay however they made accommodations with the edge water. That pool was kind of gross there. Photos show Aquarius pool much more appealing. LAUGHLIN's SEMI-MODERN RESORT!! The Aquarius is in the middle of a remodel, much of the casino and resort has been updated and is continuing to modernize. Several of the restaurants, bars, and common areas are crisp and new! Much of the property feels refreshed. The Aquarius has a gift shop, coffee shop (Duet), McDonald's, Subway and several top-notch restaurants. My favorite was the revamped River Rock Pizza. If you're looking for steak or American fare, there's an Outback and Cafe Aquarius. Outside dining tables are available but I'm not sure for which restaurant. The Splash Bar is a fun spot within the resort with a full bar and live music till 2am on select nights. My parents and I visited during their anniversary and there was no pressure to drink. We hit the dance floor and had a great time! Overall, the hotel rooms were solid, they could use a slight touch up but I enjoyed them. The rooms have INCREDIBLE beds, linens, and pillows. I had the best night of sleep while staying here and I didn't want to part from my mattress upon leaving. Housekeeping ensured everything was bright white and clean. The Aquarius asks that guests call housekeeping if they need their beds made or require new towels, this is to conserve water. Remember to tip the Aquarius' incredible hospitality team! The Aquarius is right next to the Colorado River and has sweeping views of the water. You'll find two towers that make up the resort, the California and Arizona towers respectively. I stayed in the Arizona tower and it was quite comfortable. It's near the check-in/concierge desk. Note: Subway is open 24/7 and hotel parking is FREE. read more

We stayed at the Aquarius Resort & Casino during our stay in Laughlin. My favorite part of this resort is the parking structure. We arrived while it was raining really hard, but the convenience of the parking structure made it easy for us to get to the casino entrance. There are 4 elevators in every floor of the parking structure and there was a 12 ft uncovered walkway between the 1st floor parking structure and casino entrance that we had to run through in the rain which wasn't bad at all. Check-in was fast and easy. The hotel is a bit older but still nice and comfortable enough to enjoy our stay. The 1st floor boasts the largest casino square footage in all of Laughlin, as well as a McDonald's & a Subway that are both open 24 hours. The place was packed, esp since we were there during Valentine's Day weekend. Staff are nice and helpful. Our room was very clean and had a floor to ceiling panoramic window with a stunning view of the strip, desert, and river. I love waking up early in the morning and enjoying that beautiful view through the window. We enjoyed the Riverwalk (a walkway between the back of the hotels and the river's edge), where you can enjoy the view of the river. My only gripe w this hotel is their shower toiletries. The bottles say "squeeze from the sides" but nothing comes out. These were not user friendly shampoo & bodybwash. Laughlin is a very calm, relaxing small town w a very, very chill vibe. If you're looking for the Vegas party vibe w lots of people and crowded streets and lots of traffic everywhere, this place is not for you. I've stayed at the Aquarius many times over the years. Before it was the Aquarius it was the Flamingo. It was quite the place back when it was the Flamingo and even for several years after it became Aquarius. The shine has come off the Aquarius, and I'm not sure I want to stay there again. Two of my brothers and I rode to Laughlin so we could go to a motorcycle run in neighboring Bullhead City Arizona. The main reason for staying at Aquarius was it's affordability, and the fact that I'd stayed there many times before including four nights last spring. Last spring I noticed some changes in the way things were not for the better. Same went for this trip. Check in was the normal nightmare you would expect. Too many people and not enough agents to serve them. Finally we had our rooms . My brother's had one room and I had another. Everything seemed tidy, so I settled into my room. I sat on the edge of the bed and thought to myself oh this does not feel comfortable. After a little relaxation we rode the Bullhead City for some dinner and upon our return is when I noticed the first signs of the crumbling of Aquarius. It has been a long day on motorcycles, approximately 300 miles, to be exact. After a sumptuous dinner it was time for a shower. First thing I noticed was the caulk coming off the corner of the tiles in the shower as well as the fact that the stopper was not in the drain. I quickly figured out why it wasn't in the drain was because the drain didn't do its job very well. Oh well I'll just get clean and get out I thought. As I got out I grabbed one of the bath towels and started to dry myself. It was that time I noticed stains on the towel. It gave me the impression it was never cleaned. I grabbed for another one, and it had a hole in it. Not satisfactory at all. While in my brother's room, they pointed out the peeling wallpaper at the roof level water stains on the ceiling and what appeared to be either blood or red marker on the ceiling. Only reason the rating is so low, long waits for the elevators to get up most of the time, drain in the shower was terrible, always standing in dirty water, and the drain in the sink was loud and also slow. It is currently 1:30am and I cannot sleep because the smell of cigarettes is so unbearable. The ventilation system here is a disgrace. I was in a deep sleep and now I cannot sleep anymore because someone is smoking their cigarette and it fills up everybody else's rooms. Maybe it is the person next to me? Who knows. I enjoy Laughlin but I don't look forward to the room situation. Beds at the Aquarius, especially the Arizona side is like sleeping on a wood board. Terrible! I will also never understand why smoking is allowed throughout the casino. I'm upping my chances of getting lung cancer each time I visit. With that if I had to pick a hotel this is about it. I will say that the dealers are mostly all A+ and the strength of the place and the hostess. Bartenders and a 3 star for the most part. My kids and I love coming to Laughlin for our short weekend getaways from LA. When I came to Aquarius last night, I asked front desk if there was any rooms at the California tower for us because it's closest to the pool side and that's what the kids want to do this weekend . The front desk staff didn't respond to my question and when she gave me my room keys. She said this is your room and so forth. I checked and asked her if there was nothing available on the other side( thinking she probably forgot I asked initially). She looked at the next person in line and just said no to me. Me and my kids go up to the room and we just settle in. As soon as I'm about to hang a few sweaters I notice something stuck to the floor. I called the front desk and they sent someone about 10-12 minutes later , the staff said it was looking like dog food. Now I'm left thinking if they cleaned this room " so well" leaving residue form the last person who was in this room, I wonder how well everything else was cleaned in the room. read more

Nothing about this place is good. Stayed for one night on business and the casino was clearly understaffed for the opening weekend of March Madness. The bartenders all had attitudes and made comments about how they are too busy to get to us. Oh and DO NOT eat at the Pizza / pasta place unless you want to eat microwaved garbage. It's pretty hard to screw up a pasta dish but this venue mastered the art. None of the food was good. This last week we stayed in one of the new remodeled rooms and the bed was more like a prison bed not a nice one from before!!!!! Don't stay at the Aquarius Hotel and Casino. They will charge you a "deposit" of $225 when you check in and won't give it back when you check out. I stayed there from March 6 to March 8 2026. When checking in I was charged a $225 "deposit" and was assured that it would be refunded when I checked out. I checked out at the front desk on March 8. I was handed a receipt with a balance due of $225. When I asked about it they said that they were experiencing computer problems, they're working on it, and they would refund the $225 in two hours. Over the next week the charge wasn't removed from my credit card, I called them repeatedly, and they promised to refund it "within an hour" or "within a day". They did not. Today is Sunday, March 15. The $225 has still not been refunded to me. I am therefore disputing it with my credit card company and taking back my $225. The moral: Don't stay at the Aquarius Hotel. read more

These days, Aquarius is the pick for a decent affordable stay. Harrahs is tucked away and has a cool beach, but the hotel is a dump. No beach at Aquarius, but there are beautiful views from their floor to ceiling windows. My room, well, we'll get to that in a couple of paragraphs. The casino is pretty big, and there are more than enough slots to keep you entertained.....if losing entertains you. I wouldn't say that the machines are tight. Let's just say that they're like putting on a pair of pants that you once wore back in high school. I wasn't pleased that the Pick up Stix restaurant was closed for the two days that I was there. I enjoy Chinese takeout, but it was not to be. For a quick pick-up meal, you can get Subway or McDonald's. With those as my choices, I opted to brave the 112° weather and go up the street to In and Out. As always, it was worth it. When I checked in, I greeted the front desk person with a big smile and engaged her in polite conversation. That in conjunction with a little lettuce in the card sandwich landed me in a spacious room on the 17th floor. As I mentioned, the view is fantastic. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Coffee pods, bottled water, and a small fridge rounded out the amenities. I took them all. No, not the refrigerator, I use the water down the road and give the coffee pods to my daughters. One of the days that I was at Aquarius, they had a promotion. Earn 300 points, and you get a half dozen Pinkbox doughnuts. Considering that each doughnut costs $1.95, you're looking at a nice perk. However, each point is like a dollar of play, so you can do the math on that one. I saw some folks with arms full of boxes. After earning all those points, I'm guessing that for them, it's doughnuts, breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Quick Tip: For those of you who don't know what a card sandwich is, when asked for your I.D. and credit card, slip a little green in-between. If the agent can do it, they'll give you an upgrade. Don't ask me what happens if the agent can't do it. I've never run into that situation. I'm guessing that they'll politely slide your gratuity back. My two-night reservation at the Aquarius Hotel Casino Laughlin from October 25-27, 2025, turned into one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever encountered. What should have been a relaxing weekend getaway became a frustrating ordeal that ended with me leaving the property within hours of arrival. The problems began immediately upon check-in on October 25th. The front desk agent insisted I "upgrade" to an Arizona Sunset Suite, presenting it more as a requirement than an option. Exhausted from my drive, I reluctantly agreed, hoping this might actually improve my stay. Instead, I walked into a room that was completely unacceptable. A thick, stale smoky smell permeated the entire suite, making it difficult to breathe comfortably. The cleaning standards were shockingly poor, with visible signs of neglect throughout the space. To add insult to injury, the "Arizona Sunset Suite" overlooked the parking lot on the Nevada side--hardly the scenic view the name suggested. Realizing I couldn't spend even one night in these conditions, I returned to the front desk hoping for a reasonable solution. What followed was perhaps even more disappointing than the room itself. The front desk agent was dismissive and defensive rather than apologetic or helpful. When I requested to speak with a manager, I expected someone with the authority and willingness to resolve the situation. Instead, I found myself arguing for five solid minutes about whether a smoky, poorly cleaned room was acceptable. Both the manager and front desk agent seemed more interested in defending the property than addressing my legitimate concerns. Finally, exhausted by the circular arguments and complete lack of customer care, I demanded to be checked out. I simply couldn't stay at a property that had failed so completely at providing basic hospitality. However, the manager delivered one final blow: she informed me that she would check me out the following day, not immediately, and that I would still be charged for the first night including the resort fee. I would be paying for a room I couldn't use, amenities I never accessed, and service I never received--all because of their failures, not mine. I drove across the river to Bullhead City and booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Yes, it was more expensive, and yes, I was now paying for two rooms for the same night thanks to the Aquarius's inflexible checkout policy. But the moment I entered that clean, fresh-smelling Holiday Inn room and was greeted by professional, courteous staff, I knew I had made the right decision. Sometimes paying more is absolutely worth it when you receive actual value and basic respect. What makes this experience particularly frustrating isn't just the poor room quality or even the financial loss--it's the complete absence of accountability. Hotels have problems occasionally; what matters is how they respond. The Aquarius Hotel Casino Laughlin had multiple opportunities to make things right: they could have offered a different room, waived the charges when I left, or simply shown genuine concern for my satisfaction. Instead, they chose confrontation, indifference, and extracting every possible dollar from a guest they had already failed. For anyone considering the Aquarius Hotel Casino Laughlin, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. The Laughlin-Bullhead City area has many other options that will provide better value, cleaner rooms, and professional service. We are LONG TIME LOYAL Aquarius club card holders. Been going there over a decade several times a year and we always come with a big group of 12, some of them high rollers. We all have only ever stayed at Aquarius. We will never come back and neither will anyone from our group. In July I was playing craps and had $300 stolen from me while playing. None of the 3 dealers at the table saw it. When I mentioned my chip count was off the dealers accused me of lying and got hostile towards me. They then demanded I leave the table so I went to the security office. I am happily giving the only star here for your outstanding security team who agreed to view the camera footage and confirmed I was stolen from at the table. When I asked to escalate to a manager I was denied and refused to leave the table until someone in management would come talk to me. Instead, I was 86'd from the hotel in the middle of the night and denied entry to my room where my wife and kids were sleeping. I was calm and never raised my voice and never used a single profanity yet I was ejected anyway simply for the fact that I refused to leave until I could talk to a manager. The following morning I came back to the hotel to check out and to talk to a manager who then informed me I was trespassing and would be arrested if I didn't leave immediately. Your customer service is absolutely terrible and cost your Hostetler's of thousands of dollars per year for the rest of our lives. We will still be regulars in Laughlin but the Aquarius will never see any of us again. read more

I'll start by saying this: remember, you don't come to Laughlin expecting Vegas. You come for the river, not for luxury nightlife or fine-dining restaurants. With that in mind, the Aquarius Hotel might just be the best Laughlin has to offer. Compared to Harrah's, which has definitely seen better days (and now seems to think a small stretch of beach justifies ridiculous prices), the Aquarius feels like it's at least trying to maintain itself. The carpets looked good, the rooms were freshly painted, and the furniture didn't look worn out. That's more than you can say for a lot of properties in town. Don't get me wrong, this is still a "Best Western" vibe at heart, but it's clean and reasonably well-kept, which in Laughlin counts as a win. I booked a riverview room, only to find out on arrival that "riverview" can apparently mean "parking lot." A little disappointing. I ended up switching to a two-bed room in the family tower, which was fine, but not what I expected. Other than that, my stay was okay. The breakfast restaurant was decent, good enough for the morning but I would recommend skipping the on-site Outback Steakhouse; it didn't live up to even chain-restaurant standards. Overall, the Aquarius is a solid choice if you're in Laughlin. It's not luxury, but it's clean, maintained, and reasonably priced. I'd stay here again,, just double-check what "riverview" means before you book. read more
