I hosted my daughters 6th birthday party here. The staffs communication was immediate, they even updated me when my 1st choice date became available. You can bring outside food & drinks, you have 3hrs of continuous play and the staff is ready to help you in any way they can. My daughter, our family and her classmates had an awesome time!! I've never been to mini golf since I moved to the island. At lunch today, my boyfriend and I decided to go on a little adventure to see what this place was like. Living right by Pearlridge for almost a year, I had no idea this place was back by the Toys R Us. When we got inside, the two women working already had two putters out for us and wanted us to try the length since we are really tall. They weren't quite long enough, but they spent the time finding us the right putter before we had even paid. We paid for our game, and the staff made sure that we knew it was unlimited. After we finished our 18 holes, we turned in our balls and putters and they told us they were leaving at 2pm if we wanted to come back and play more before they were gone. It was an amazing little place and a great way to spend our midday Saturday. TOTALLY would come back again in heartbeat. read more

First time here & D was really sweet! Super cheap! Clean environment. Great parking. They have a limited menu. But it's kid friendly foods! Golfing itself was fast, easy & fun. My kids were happy. Took my family there today to spend some time together away from electronics. We were there for no more than 15 minutes before it started pouring down rain so we ran back to the front and returned our balls and putters and they didn't even offer us so much as a raincheck or anything. So we basically spent just shy of $34 for less than 15 minutes. I understand that we are in Hawaii and the weather is pretty unpredictable but to me not offering a raincheck is just poor customer service, especially since we had just got there. The course itself looked pretty nice, well from what we got to see of it anyway (The first few holes). The girl that took payment from us wasn't necessarily rude but possessed absolutely no customer service skills and was very timid when talking to us. I will not be bringing my family back to this particular mini golf course. You would be better off going elsewhere. read more

Tropics Mini Golf has an 18 hole course that offers family friendly fun at a reasonable $. The location is easy to find and there are many available parking spots. Best time to visit is on the weekends because the cost is only $8 per person which includes all-day golf play. Would recommend the experience to everyone who likes to play golf no matter the skill level or budget. read more

We had such a fun time! Sunday, only us! The lady at the front desk was so nice and invited us to come back all day to play again--for free! It's a totally different vibe than the last time we were there over five years ago-when it had many colors and animal structures. Instead, it was a competitive, many-rolling-angled-hilled-dark green/gray turf that we played along. Kept us on edge and wondering how to get around the many different plaster covered dark rocks within each course. Since we had the time, we got to play several holes repeatedly, trying to figure out how the heck to get better at it. By the 16th hole, we were exhausted but happy. We'll go back, but it may be more busy, esp since Down to Earth will be opening soon close by. read more

Went here with my family for my neice's birthday on a Sunday around 10:30 am. Mini golfing was fun, lots of holes to last a good hour to two hours. My only complaint was the lady in the front. We were hungry and noticed how cheap the food was so we wanted to order and she told us they didn't have any food except hot dogs and so we said ok we'll take that but she said she was busy and she to set up for a 150 person party. So I did not appreciate her refusing us further service and lack for customer satisfaction, especially since the party was not even there at the time. Our office decided to celebrate my co-worker's birthday here. Perfect get away for professionals working in the area and families living nearby. Conveniently located near Pearlridge. Who would've thought they had this small sanctuary in such a busy area?! The staff was very friendly. Each section is very challenging and progressive along the way. We came when no one was there. I don't golf so when my daughter said she wanted a mini golf party, I was kind of hesitant about how everything would turn out. To my surprise, all the guests had a GREAT time and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The party lanai was perfect for the pinata and made setting up and cleaning up a breeze. Be careful! They took out additional charges out of my account (over $50). When I brought it up and showed my bank statements and receipts, they reimbursed me only a portion. In addition, they still have my bank info and were able to have access back into my account (not sure if all business if like that). The worker said the owner forgot to reimburse me all amount they owe me, and if I can come back to get a bottle water to compensate the difference they still owe me. When I called back to ask what is owed back to me, the worker flipped out and said I am attacking her and the company. All I asked was the status of my full reimbursement that is owed and if they don't reimburse me then my bank said that I can dispute the charge. Then the worker said I am personally attacking her and trying to take her job away, and how I am making a big deal about a mistake she made. YIKES! I guess I owe them money even though they took it from me...still no owner will call me? I'm waiting...it's the PRINCIPLE of INTEGRITY for a business. It's called Code of ETHICS for a business. I would have been very OK if they just returned exactly what is owed to me...but now the worker is making it like I'm a bad person. I'm confused on who is the victim of this mistake!! read more

I went with my family and thought it was very clean and the staff was friendly. It is a lot nicer then before. The price also is a lot better than other mini golf places on Oahu. Looks like a great place to also have parties I saw a flyer and those prices were good too. read more

This is a fairly decent little golf course hidden next to the Toys R Us by Pearl Ridge Mall. There's not much to say about it. The holes are fairly standard fare and it uses the given space really well. The customer service is friendly and there's tons of parking. You can play through the whole course in less than 30 minutes, but on Sunday mornings they'll let you play as many times as you want. read more

I just took my 2 year old here for the first time this past Saturday night for a little fun before dinner. I have to say, I had a negative experience here that left me really irritated. When we got there it was already dark and there was a birthday party going on in the front area. I walked up to the window and waited to pay to golf. A lady was sitting right there in front of me fixing her shave ice machine and COMPLETELY ignored me. I stood there being patient thinking she was just going to look at me at any minute and ask if I needed help. That never happened. I stood there staring at her for a good 10 minutes.... Then another lady appeared back there and I tried to get her attention to pay to golf. I sternly said, "Can I pay to golf??" She finally came over and rung me up. I told her it was our first time here and where do we start? She just handed me a golf club and pointed to the golf ball rack that was there for me to help myself. Okaaaaaay. Then when we stared golfing, you couldn't see shit. There's no lights to light up the place for night time patrons. It was dark and every hole looked exactly like the one before it. I remember it being better when I was little. Now that I've been back with my keiki and I can say I won't be ever coming back, nor would I recommend it to anyone. It sucks being blatantly ignored when you're trying to give them business. read more

We held a child's birthday party at Tropics Mini Golf recently. When we initially selected Tropics as the venue for this party, we were told we had use of the facilities until 10:30pm. The night of the event, however, the "manager" told us that we needed to be out by 9:45pm. This caused us to have to rush to pack-up and be out by 9:45pm, as until late the night of the event, we were expecting to be out by 10:30pm. When we questioned the "manager" about the inconsistency in messaging, she blamed her employees for misinforming us. She seemed to be on a power trip and refused to see things from our perspective and uphold the terms we agreed to up front. In summary, the "manager" at Tropics Mini Golf in Aiea practices poor customer service. I don't recommend planning any of your events at Tropics Mini Golf. read more

My husband and I took our 5 children and a couple of our kids' friends to Tropics for a fun round of mini golf for our son's birthday in June. It was our first time there and we all had a blast. First off, you cannot beat the price! It costs $8 for military and kama'aina and $6 for children ages 3-7. We are always game for affordable fun for our big family. Then, when we entered Tropics, it was very welcoming with its relaxed atmosphere, clean and well kept grounds and facilities (the bathrooms were so clean and they smelled good, too - even our kids noticed and made comments about it!), and such friendly staff. We were greeted by Ernie at the front - she was pleasant and happy to help us and was especially great with the kids. She even helped us secure annual passes for our family, which we plan to put to good use in the future. We all enjoyed our 18 holes of mini golf and my husband and I learned that we were in the company of some very competitive kiddos. Haha. And if you're like us, with a family full of kids, you'll appreciate the kid-friendly menu complete with hot dogs and pizza, all of which is reasonably priced with shave ice being the most expensive at $3 and chips and drinks being just $1 a piece.
