I used to love this place and it's been about 5 yrs or more since I've been here. Sadly, this visit will be my last as it was highly disappointing! First of all, I came in here because of an advertisement I saw on IG for the Crabfest in Oct 2025. The Crabfest is only weekly specials for the month of October and nothing really special. I feel the advertisement did not explain enough of what Crabfest meant for this business. We ordered a Crabfest bucket to share(party of two). The bucket costs a little over $200 and it comes with 1/2 lb of Dungeness, snow, and king crab with shrimp, fried soft shell crab, corn, sausage, and potatoes. They had no corn and offered to substitute it with another side, which ended up being fries (NO CORN FOR A SEAFOOD BOIL BUCKET ?!). The king crab should have been thrown out the night before, it was stale and tasted off. The potatoes were hard, the sausage could have been cooked longer, the seafood should have been hotter than how it was served. The establishment needs to be more attentive to how the food is served and its temperatures. The prices are not worth the food quality or amount on the dishes. I do not recommend this establishment as there are better options for seafood on the island.

Pigs Tail Mac and Cheese. We didn't like it.

I'm not normally one to come back and update a few times. But this really deserves it. The business reached out to me in the kindest way to apologize for what happened on our visit. We went back a couple times and enjoyed their bbq. Their bbq and sides are fantastic. Their corn bread can't be beat! I'm still a little afraid to try things off the actual menu, but again, the bbq is amazing, so I don't see a reason to. The service had seemed to get better, and that was so nice to see. It had redeemed itself so much that when a last minute promotion came up, and we needed a place that could hold 30+ people easily, I gave them a call. Ivory was so kind and helpful! She made sure we were all good to go, and let us pre order appetizers to come out as soon as people were showing up. They reserved the entire back patio for us. 37 people showed up, and we had the best time. The service was amazing. The food we pre ordered came out right on time, and was delicious! They checked in so often to make sure that all was good. Truly wonderful service. I'm really glad we have it another shot. We will be back.

I came here for the crab fest but was disappointed because 3 of the items were sold out. I ended up ordering snow crab and king crab and skipped on the dungeness crab since that's too much work to eat. I came around 2:30pm and all the seats inside were taken so we sat on a table in the patio. The patio is covered but it got real hot with the afternoon so some of us got a tan on our back and legs. The staff took a very long time to take our drink order and when they finally took it, we waited another 15 minutes to get the drinks. We weren't a big group so it was odd that it would take that long for drinks. We ordered our food and waited another 30 minutes. The food came out and it was hot so that's good. The snow crab was very good but the king crab was overcooked and it was dry. We're just glad we had butter so we drenched the king crab meat. Their prices are reasonable but they need to work on their service and the bar and kitchen needs to speed it up. I wish they cleared the tables quicker so we could have moved inside instead of sitting on the patio.

We had a really fun visit to Dixie Grill while watching the eating contest with Raina Huang! My mom, my son, and I enjoyed some food along with the event. My mom had the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, paired with cheesy grits and mashed potatoes. Every part of her plate was delicious -- a true comfort meal. Our son had the mac n' cheese with French fries, which was wonderful to see made in-house (he has some picky allergies, so this was a huge plus!). I tried the Crab Cake Burger with a side of fries (I substituted regular fries for the sweet potato fries). While the burger itself was a bit bland and dry, requiring extra mayo and wishing for lemon wedges at the end, the overall experience was still enjoyable. One odd thing: my son's fries portion was about double mine! The restaurant was lively, and the event made the visit extra fun. I'm excited to come back and try more of their menu -- their fish and chips looked amazing at a neighboring table. Overall, a fun outing with tasty options, even if a few small tweaks could make the meal even better.

Well...if I happened to have picked a time to go out on my birthday, today was that day. This time, I went to take my family over to Dixie Grill, and this time tried something different there. It was pretty busy, but you can certainly tell it was no ordinary Saturday, given how many people were eating at the time. The appetizers weren't too bad. We ended up getting the shrimp and the fried okra. The okra was very addictive and the shrimp was nice. Last time I remembered coming here, it was for the catfish. That time, I ate the 1/2 rack of ribs with coleslaw and brussel sprouts. And from first impression, it looked nice to want to dig in. My family had ordered a bunch of different stuff. My sister got the catfish, my mom got the crab cake, and my dad ordered the brisket. Overall, it was not a bad return to this place. Once again, Dixie Grill delivers on the food. Not bad at all. Maybe next time, I should consider trying out one of their desserts because it would have been nice to enjoy my birthday on a good note. Thanks Dixie Grill for making me a happy patron there.

lots of free parking on the weekend when we went for lunch. staff seated our group of 7 quickly. we got all kinds of items from the menus. drinks were good and they had metal music playing was happy to see my friends! my faves were the beef brisket with different sauces. i like hawaiian sauce da most. the rest wasnt my fave but uf u like deep fried stuff... this might be your joint. also the server accidentally dropped a sauce off the plate behind me and when it hit da ground it splashed on my calf. nothing to cry about but meh.

After hiking nearby we dropped by this restaurant to try it out. Like the indoor outdoor feel of the place near Pearl Harbor. The outside has large picnic tables and umbrellas, the interior has a lively sport bar feel with music playing in background. Friend ordered burger and fries and I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs with coleslaw and Brussel sprouts as my sides. Friend liked her burger, they brought 6 different bbq sauces to our table to try. We did a mini tastings of the sauces on her fries. I have a mixed review on my rib meal. Really liked the Brussel sprouts, tasty seasons. Cole slaw average, would have liked it with a little more vinegar flavor. Ribs were on dry side, overcooked, I was disappointed with them. We ordered food to take home to our husbands. A Philly Cheese for mine, he enjoyed the huge sandwich, the bread was slightly dry. I would give them another try in future.

Salad with blue cheese and sliced turkey(they were out of some stuff and made this as a thank you)

Service was great, atmosphere was what I wanted (laid back but fun). We went on a rainy night for a husband/wife date and watching the rain through the open air patio gave Southern Alabama/Mississippi/Louisiana vibes for me. Food was great although they were out of some things, they were very nice and the replacements were great!

It was my first time here, and I ordered the Big Ed burger. Overall, the flavor was good. I liked the brisket! However, the bacon tasted a little burnt. The burger was also a little dry, and I felt like there could have been some sauce or something to balance out all the meats. I also felt like the serving of fries was a little underwhelming. The service and vibes of the restaurant though were spectacular! My server was great and took great care of my whole party. I'll definitely give them another shot, but probably earlier in the day.

Traveled to Hawaii for the first time and this place was recommended to me. The food was really good, there was a wide variety of great options, and the restaurant vibe was pleasant. I ended up coming back here again for dinner in the same day, this time with a group of friends who also enjoyed themselves.

If you're craving southern food, this place has lots of great options! The food was pretty good and the service was friendly. Definitely order the catfish and the green beans!!!

Had a $50 gift card from What a deal Wednesday (spend $25, get $50). It's not worth it. Food lacked flavor. I don't think there's much thought into preparing some real BBQ here. Service was pleasant but can't say I'll return with these food options & lack of taste.

I never been there before so my family decided since it was my birthday they wanted to take me somewhere I never been before and I'm picky as hell so we went there, staff was great and the place and food was great, also it was good place cause we had the grandkids with us and they got a place where the kids could play, it was a different experience but I will go back there again

Do they still have fried green tomatoes? I can't find it on the menu. Thanks!

Is the outside seating, dog friendly?

Service dogs only for the entire restaurant - inside or outside

    Do they serve brunch?

I don't think they serve brunch per Dr. They are open at lunchtime and I think their menu is the same for lunch and dinner.

We looked over the menu that was taped to their window and thought "Wow, reasonable price"! Felt like eating breakfast so we both ordered the #1 Breakfast that comes with 2 eggs, 2 scoops of rice and 1 choice of the following: - Spam - Bacon - Link sausage - Portuguese sausage - Ham - Lup Cheong - Vienna sausage - Corn beef - Corn beef hash - Lit'l smokies I ordered mine with bacon and my husband ordered the corn beef hash. They gave 4 pieces of bacon which I was surprised because I usually get 3 when ordering from other places. As for the corn beef hash, it was the canned one but my husband didn't mind. If you like your rice, they use the big scooper so you get 2 large scoops. Both plates were good like any place serving breakfast but the quantity of food and the price was surprising...our plates were only $7.59 each. Some FYI's: - A woman came in while we were waiting for our food...said this place has a new owner that took over November 2025 and kept the same prices - If you go there and no staff in front, ring the bell that's located on the counter - They charge 3% for credit card purchases - Parking is free but limited because it's shared with other businesses like M&M BBQ, Yum Yum Pho, Vina Cafe, etc. The woman that took our order was really nice. Looking over the menu, we saw a lot we wanted to try especially the mixed plates/combo that's under $15. We will definitely be back!

Ordered by phone the day prior, and just gave them my phone number as usual (it's how they identify you when you pick up, with no worries about duplicate or misspelled names.). Every time I've ordered in advance, our order has always been packed neatly and ready in a box for takeout. (My brother had brought a box just in case, and smoothly offered it to their staff for someone else's future order.) The restaurant has several tables for dining in, and markings on the floor for those waiting in line. It's brightly lit and clean as well. I appreciate their staff, food, service, and generous servings. They make us look so good with our potluck contributions! So what did we order? Half chicken katsu, half chicken wings, a small platter ($45 for the small pan, but picture a much loaded tray) - it's a great value deal! It was the same order our cousins loved when we brought it on Christmas Day (they especially love the wings, but we love the katsu-so this year we asked for half-half instead of all katsu, and they were so happy, ha ha!) Oh, and they give you a nice big container of yummy katsu sauce;)! I like their panko and cooking method, as whatever they do, the chicken is nice and crisp, and tasty - with, or without the sauce, actually. First time that I actually tried the wings, as I'm not a wing person. (I didn't even try it at Christmas, lol.). But, it was nice and crisp, lightly seasoned, and the wings had lots of meat on them. Easy finger food, and they were not dripping in oil, either, which I appreciated! Also ordered (for the first time) a small platter of chicken chow mein (a little over $30?). It was based on a good recommendation by an admittedly biased family member of the owners, and we were pleasantly surprised! The small pan was covered in wrap and then foil, because the mound of noodles was seriously kinda big! My brother was like, quick, go tell mom to come look before we open it (as she's picky, so it's hard to impress her). It was filled with lots of veggies (sliced carrots, cabbage, onions, etc) and bbq chicken pieces, tossed with great flavor (I want to say it was a nice sauce, but this wasn't a wet noodle dish.). My dad added Chinese mustard soy sauce, but my mom and I thought it was perfect the way it was. Oh, don't laugh, we're only a family of four, so yes, we ate two meals - lunch and dinner - and still packed a ton of leftovers! As we watched the game, we commented to each other what great choices we had made. (We also had sushi trays and other treats, and of course, chips, and my brother's dip. My brother said we may not have had a favorite team to cheer on today, but it was a great excuse for a party, ha ha!) I know we're doing a repeat for our next occasion, for sure! We'll gradually try some of their other foods, and it's farther away than we'd like to drive (I know, it's not that far, but we live on the other side, ok?). My brother agrees it's worth the drive - it's across Aloha Stadium and literally in the same spot as Ice Palace; and we saw quite the line at the Taco Bell drive through when we were looking for parking;). He also compared it to the cost and serving size of what we ordered on New Year's, from a restaurant much closer to where we live. Hands down, it was not even a close comparison, his emphasis added. So go here, it's perfect for family dinners and potlucks and I hope you agree with my assessment;)! Oops, I didn't take any pictures, aiya!!!

Looked over the menu and found a handwritten "Bento" sign located below the counter. Bento price is $7.50 except for the Meat Jun for $8.50. It comes with the main entree, 2 mandoo, 1 veggie and a scoop of rice...wow, good deal! Main entree choices are: Mochiko Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Katsu, Fried Shrimp, Fried Fish, Shrimp Tempura, Meat Jun or Musubi Combo. The veggie choices are: Choy Sum, Corn, Kim Chee, Shoyu Potato, Bean Sprouts or Japchae. You can substitute the rice for an extra veggie. I ordered the Meat Jun with Choy Sum. For $8.50, they gave a good amount of food which I enjoyed and had leftovers for another meal. The guy behind the counter was nice and service was fast. I would definitely return to try something different. This place is in Palama Supermarket that's located at Waimalu Shopping Center. Lots of free parking but this complex is always busy. Sometimes it's hard to find so park at the first stall that's empty. There are 2 entrances/exits that circles around so if you can't find parking, you have to circle around again because the isle is only one-way.

To assume all the food of the Philippines all taste the same would be to assume all food from China taste the same. That said, where this food draws its influence from is unlike mainstream Filipino flavors in Hawaii. For example, the pancit uses wide almost "Chinese" style alkali noodles stir fried in a dark soy sauce, a fermented seafood sauce, crispy garlic, colorful bell peppers, long beans topped with three well cooked, head and shell on shrimp and garnished with crab eggs, and chives. Tear off the head, squeeze out the head fat, squeeze the fresh lime wedge and mix into the pancit and it opens up a whole next level of seafood goodness. The chicken inasal is great eats. Beautifully marinated then grilled chicken hindquarter sat atop a bed of crispy shallot rice garnished with pickled cucumber. Shredding the chicken, mixing in the Chinese style ginger onion sauce, adding the accompanying soy based sauce and mixing all the pickles and rice together makes for one absolutely delicious concoction. Lots of other modern Filipino fusion dishes to try. Their version of mini lumpia bites are perfect for the meat lover, filled almost entirely with seasoned ground pork. Refrying leftovers creates and ethereal crisp outer shell making day two even better. Creative drinks available. None sampled yet. Food is made to order. Expect a 15-20 minute wait. When I made a donation at Green Drop - Pearlridge, the worker, Bo, introduced me to the food truck next door: Merianda Maui He said that everything from this food truck is good. Too bad they weren't open on Tuesday... So, I went back on Wednesday! There was a couple in front of me, waiting for their food. I went up to the window and ordered the first item on the menu: Bistek and egg. It comes with garlic rice and pickled veggies! I took the package home... it was killing me... The fragrance... it smelled so good! When I got home, I snapped a quick photo, but didn't get a sho of the pink pickled onions and the green pickled cucumbers... wow... so yummy! Even the Sautéed onions were delicious! The beef was tender and tasty with its citrus-soy marinade and Maui onion ginger scallion sauce. Mmm! I wanna try everything on the menu! Oh... and I got the Mango Sago drink without condensed milk (because the Ube Horchata has dairy). It was excellent, too! The Sago was a bit clumpy, and some couldn't fit through the straw. I drank them out of the cup! It worked! Service was polite and efficient! Cash is appreciated, but credit cards are accepted! Note: There are a couple of tables with picnic benches if you want to dine there... under the trees...
