My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Troy Auto Care for several years now. We've had everything from transmissions, brakes and A/C systems worked on, along with regular tune-ups and getting new tires. They are awesome! The technician Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable, as well as the 2 owners, Frank & Donnie. We have complete confidence in them when we leave our cars there. They are always timely in getting our services done and getting our car back on the road as soon as possible. They have exceptional customer service - very responsive! We used Troy Auto Care back in April 2017 when they replaced a bad battery in our van. We felt the service was prompt and the Techs. friendly so we decide to use Troy Auto Care to do an oil change back in late April. When we got home we noticed that oil qas dripping from the van. We called Troy Auto Care to bring it back in. We did and they "tightened" the oil pan plug saying that whoever did the oil change didn't tighten it properly. No apology from them for our inconvenience. Even after this we continued to see oil on the garage floor underneath the van. We took it to another AAA approved repair shop in Oxford who looked at it and said the plug was not tightened to factory Spec.! Since then there have been no problems. I would not recommend Troy Auyo Care if you want quality work performed on you vehicle. read more

Unfortunately very unreliable. We had a good experience with this shop on our initial appointment. Though they did fail to call with an estimate, we felt the price they asked after the service was done fair so did not comment on it. We scheduled a followup appointment for additional work. It was mistakenly put in as the same work as the initial service. They kept our truck for two days before Jeremy called to let us know he would not be able to complete the scheduled work. They were overbooked, had another truck on the lift, and blamed the way the appointment was put in. He let us know the price for what he was able to do. My husband said this is the second time he never got a call with the quote before the work was done. We are leaving for vacation on Sunday and this is our tow vehicle. Given that I started the process of booking a month ago with the shop it's pretty unacceptable to get a call Wednesday evening before our trip that they cannot finish the work because of their own scheduling error without any kind of solution. Very frustrating. I think that they do good work, but the communication in the office and their customer service is just very frustrating. read more

I stopped in last weekend to replace a front headlight and wish I could give them more than 5 stars for their willingness to explain each step of the process and cost breakdown. Hey folks, this is my first experience with these guys and likely last! I was stranded with tire blowout so called AAA and they send out road service so i figure no prob. well the guy shows up in mini cargo van with batteries and jumper cables and with full size jack that wasn't working and he was even frustrated and complaining, then the tire was stuck on there to the rotor wouldn't move, and of course he has no sledge hammer to get it off and no we have to wait for full size tow truck which took another 45min to hr. even than the other tow guy had trouble getting tire off with reinforced steel tire lock from his tow truck...well, finally it was off and i was off on my way... that's until just few days ago i find out that jack with flat cradle he was using damaged the whole front side of when he lifted up the car, what the hell i say to myself?...turns out he jacked it not on sub-frame but on the rocker panel area when only scissor jacks can be applied or special rubber attachment is needed for flat cradle jack, which of course he didn't have or use...now i can't even jack it up with standard scissor jack that came with this sedan because the flange is all bent up and collapsed. i suggest you watch and see what they're doing and where they're doing the jacking if you get this outfit or any other roadside service tow company...let's face it, some techs don't care or haven't been trained right. in this case, the guy didn't even have the right equipment and tools to do it right and not cause damage. be warned and aware what these companies are doing when you're not paying attention! I figure AAA rated company, they must be on top of things, they're not! read more

My battery died so I called AAA. They sent Troy Auto Care to assist me. The technician Jessie B was very polite and professional, he explained the entire process to me before proceeding. Shortly after he replaced my battery, explained my warranty, and thanked me for my business. It was a great and seamless event. If I have any future car issues I will definitely go see them! read more

Visiting from out of state for work and my battery died during the polar freeze. I had my battery replaced by them through a AAA call. They saw it through after a small issue and resolved a bad battery clamp as well. I will have them on my phone as my go to when in MI. read more

We needed to have my daughters car towed to our home after an accident. We called our insurance and they selected Troy Auto Care to come out with a flat bed and pick it up in Warren. I had my rear control arm snap pulling into a parking lot. I called Troy Auto Care for a tow and they were the best price. A young guy named Josh came to help us and got our car (with only three rotating wheels) towed. I later went into TAC for an oil change for another car because of my relieved towing experience. They had a great deal under 20 bucks total on Saturdays for a full service oil change. I'm now considering them for tire installation. Don quotes me for anything over the phone and so far they've won my business for all my auto services. read more

I had a vehicle towed by Troy Auto Care on 10/2/2018. The Troy Auto Care tow truck driver was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and concerned for the safety of his customers/passengers. The driver was conscientious, and careful with my vehicle. The Troy Auto Care tow truck was a clean, quiet, later model flatbed, with proper lighting for safety. I considered my Troy Auto Care towing charges a bit steep, so I called Troy Auto Care the next morning (10/3/2018). I spoke to Dale who was also courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and answered my questions quickly and throughly. It was explained to me that Troy Auto Care charges $6/mile for customers utilizing their AAA membership, (for overage miles beyond what AAA covers) yet charges $4/mile for customers not utilizing AAA membership benefits. I appreciate the assistance and professionalism of the Troy Auto Care employees I dealt directly with, but I do not appreciate the discriminatory pricing policies set forth by the proprietor of Troy Auto Care. read more

On 1/9/2018, at 6:11 am I called my Allstate roadside assistant to request a tow truck to change a flat tire on my car. The representative took my request and texted me with an estimated ETA of 8:08 from Troy Auto Care. At approximately 8:30 am I called Troy Auto Care and spoke to Tony (I believe that was the name). He stated "I'm waiting for my 8:00 drivers to get in and get their trucks ready, then you are 5th on the list. Should be about an hour. Someone will call you when they are on their way." At 10:20 am I called and spoke to Tony AGAIN and was told "you have been assigned to Bruce. He has a couple of car batteries calls and then he will call you when he's on his way, probably about an hour." At 11:00 am I received a call from Bruce stating he would be at my location in about 10 minutes. He arrived at 11:11 am, was friendly, helpful and very courteous. When talking to Bruce I told him that I had been waiting for 5 hours and he was SHOCKED! He stated that he had been dispatched my call only about an hour earlier. Needless to say I'm upset! I have called my Allstate agent, told him the story and requested they don't do business with Troy Auto Care again. read more

My husbands son car broke down, after trying to fix it we had to have it towed. Troy Auto Care picked it up within an hour and said they'd call us in the morning after they took a look at it. 7:15 am they called me stating the issue. A few hours later they called with an update. Be more professional and don't go speeding around a elementary school parking lot supposedly looking for a car that needed a battery charged. First of all don't go speeding over 10 mph to see if the person is there and second someone would have been out and third the hood would have been up! Don't be rude when I remind you it's a school and then tell me it's none of my business! When sorry it is. Make sure you have directions before you go looking. The guy with glasses is very rude. He needs to learn some manners and learn not to speed in a school parking lot. Yes I did honk at him and remind him it's a school and not to speed through it!!!! read more
