From the moment I walked in, the ladies at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and understanding. I explained what had happened, and they immediately checked the schedule to see if there was any way they could help me. They were able to fit me in with Alexis after only about an hour wait, which I was SO grateful for. Alexis was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to look through my hair, explain to me what had happened with the previous cut, and talk me through what she would need to do to correct it. More than anything, I felt genuinely seen and understood. I was already emotional about having to lose more length than I originally wanted, and she was so patient and thoughtful throughout the entire process. She never made me feel rushed and really took her time to make sure everything was even, blended, and done correctly. I walked out feeling so much better and absolutely love what she was able to do with my hair. I've also previously seen Odalis, Hannah, and Casey at Salon Gatto, and every single one of them has been incredibly skilled and has given me a great experience. The level of talent and care across this salon really speaks for itself. I have long hair that can be anywhere from wavy to just downright messy curls, it's changed over the years. Molly has always made sure to give me the cut that would flatter it most if it air-dried or blow dried myself, not just when it was professionally blown out leaving the salon. I tell her how I usually would do it and she makes sure that the cut works best for that. She has always given me honest opinions or when I thought about coloring it or doing a gloss. I loved that she didn't push me at all for any sort of color even though it would obviously be much more expensive. Before Salon Gatto, over the years, I've gone to other salons closer to home or near work when I was in a pinch or I've seen other hair stylists at Salon Gatto before I found Molly, (I'm sorry but I can't remember any names!) They were always wonderful and I definitely left happy but Molly is my favorite. She is great at her job, not overly talkative (this is a time to RELAX for me) and sweet and is honest. Am I fangirling?? Probably. They have two locations and just opened a whole new second floor at their original location by the Path train, so I love to see them growing and growing!! This wasn't even my first time getting the treatment done. My ends now feel brittle and damaged, and my hair texture has changed in a way that has been difficult to manage. The stylist was extremely unfriendly did not say hello to me and chatted with the other workers as she did my hair. she didn't ask me a thing about the style or the event I was going to. as she was braiding my hair (there was no braid in the inspo pic) I asked her why she was doing a braid. she told me my hair was too thin and she had to. I brought and paid for clip in extensions to be put in. it was a joke of a style and I asked her to fix it and she declined and said I wouldn't be able to do the style with my "thin hair". she was extremely unprofessional and rude the entire time. do not go here and spend your money.
