The 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty utility truck that I bought from Truck Depot last weekend was just handed back to me after a new vehicle inspection by my local mechanic, who is known as one of the finest in the area. He had a glowing report, saying that I was fortunate to get a truck like this in such good shape. All new fluids, brakes were good for years, all the connection points that you do not want rattling and shaking (ball joints, suspension, ect) were all good to go. Can't say enough about their sales team and ownership. Lucas was sharp as a tack, knew his stuff and most of all didn't even remotely try to blow smoke up my b***. Ramsey handled the paperwork and had me out of there in record time as I had to drive the vehicle back 3 hours North to get home. I had about as good of experience as you might have buying a used fleet vehicle in a hurry. One thing worth pointing out. Lucas is second generation in the business, and he genuinely knew his stuff. I'm a couple of years from retiring, and did not want to spend the time and energy it takes to properly research vehicles (my utility truck was undrivable), so I had to count on the input of a salesman to make the best decision. Love the truck I bought but unfortunately the salesman was not very nice I had an issue within the first couple weeks of having the truck and when I asked him to read the codes he became combative and rude. Not how I like to do business. I know that I purchased a used truck and it might need something work but I did not expect or appreciate his rudeness and poor attitude. How does a company sell a truck for $11,000 that has two broken door locks. That was my first and last time I'll ever purchase from this company. I am going back to Mcdonald motors in Santa Barbara to purchase all my future company vehicles. Bought a truck from Lucas via eBay. Buying process was very smooth and communication was great. Considering I bought the vehicle sight unseen, I was nervous, but Lucas followed up several times after I bought the truck to make sure I was happy. Being a fleet vehicle, the windshield has a couple chips in it and a odd distortion. I told Lucas about it and he paid for the repair in full, even though the vehicle was sold to me as-is. This is a fabulous, fair and reasonable Work Truck and Equipment Sales company. My husband and I were looking for a new work van and they had a large variety, at very fair prices. The company is family owned, we were assisted by 2 different staff members and both were upfront, direct and friendly. Gave us prices over the phone! We were thrilled with our 'new to us' used work van purchase. They even handled the license plates and mailed them WITH tags to us and included a small refund check as the DMV fees were less than we had paid. I purchased 2007 Ford F-350 and I asked The salesman if the car has any oil leak he said no and it's guaranteed after I drove the truck to my house I realize it was leaking oil I took it back to them they kept the truck for a day and they said it's been fixed then the next day it was doing the same thing I drove it back to them they told me you bought the truck as is however I took the truck to my mechanic and it cost me $1000 to repair the oil leak. read more

Completely satisfied with my experience at truck depot. Came in looking for a truck they had online and it was sold as soon as I came onto the lot. My advice is to come get the truck you are interested in ASAP because these guys sell their trucks quickly. I was helped by a helpful staff that led me to the truck I have now. Came in looking to spend 20k and ended spending a lot less and being much happier. I had a truck that was near breaking down so I needed a truck ASAP but I have a dump bed that is worth 6k and I wanted to switch it to the new truck. Not only did they point me in the right direction but they took the initiative of taking charge of the large task to take off the bed and put on my dump bed but they even worked it into the sale of the truck at a great price overall. I needed a heavy-duty pick-up truck to pull my 19-foot mobile home that I just bought from Neil's RV across the street from The Truck Depot. I stopped by TRUCK DEPOT and they had several used work trucks to choose from. I had a hard time deciding on which truck to buy because the selling prices of each vehicle were a lot less than the prices I saw at other dealerships. I had previously spent over a week looking at used trucks prior to "by chance" stopping by The Truck Depot. I was glad and thankful I did as It saved me a fortune. All I can say about this place is buyer beware and do not buy sight unseen unless you are content with junk. We drove down from Northern California to look at a specific truck that we were told was very well maintained and had been safety inspected. Upon arrival, although I'd had several phone conversations with them the week we drove down including a call the day before to tell them we were coming down to look at this truck, they acted liked we'd never spoken at all and left us sitting around for over a half hour before we were shown the truck. After a short test drive, I began inspecting the truck for evidence of being well maintained and could find none. The passenger door hinge was loose or broken. Upon pointing this out I was told "hey, you're buying a used truck. What do you expect?" Seriously?The brake and taillights were out on one side, an obvious safety issue that any rudimentary inspection should have detected. Immediately I was very suspicious and really began to look this thing over. Aside from being fairly well beat up, the frame of the truck had been cut off in the rear and based on the location of the spare tire, it appeared that a 9' bed had been put on a 6.5' chassis, another safety and liability issue. I had serious doubts this steaming pile would make the 400 mile drive home, let alone serve as a reliable truck for our business. We were told they had just painted the truck. It was the worst paint job I'd ever seen. I could have done better with a can of spray paint. They even painted the black plastic trim! The term "lipstick on a pig" comes to mind. By the time we decided to leave, workers had the entire dash torn apart because they couldn't get the radio to work, another sign of potential electrical problems. I'm thankful that we took the time to go look at it instead of buying sight unseen, as the seller suggested given how far away we live. I'll ad this tidbit: we were there long enough to see what goes into their vehicle prep. A worker with a can of spray paint covering up rust. No prep (grinding off rust, applying primer), just squirt, squirt. The entire trip was a colossal waste of time. Since they supposedly had several buyers lined up, they could have been honest with us and saved us time and fuel by telling us the true condition of the truck. I will never again consider buying a vehicle out of town. I could get into the whole commercial financing piece of this thing, which we had to line up prior to the trip in order to complete the sale if we chose. All I'll say about that is the $1000 check I sent the finance company that they had told me over the phone they couldn't use they cashed anyway. It took over a week to get our money back and they kept $195 as a "fee." If I could give no stars I would and I'm only taking the time to write this review because this business has several good reviews on Yelp. read more
