Went to truck guys in Weymouth today. Asked if they could put on car seat covers that I ordered thru them. Please keep in mind not one customer was in their store except for me. It was dead. The guy that is the manager I believe said I had to make appointment. I asked why could it not be done now. you are not busy at all. He is a cookie cutter employee. I left the store saying but you took my money pretty quick and got into my car about to leave when the guy came out and said " I heard what you fu$!!ng said". I then got angry and said you're using the "f" word at me. We went back and forth. I will never do business with them again. I'm trying to research to put a formal complaint against this individual. I called in to install a trailer hatch in my Audi Q5 and immediately got attended over the phone by Jeff. He mentioned that they have to use their own ordered store part and agreed to match price on what I was getting from Amazon. Appointment was quick and I was quoted for a 4 hour job. When I went back to pick up the car, Jeff notified me that it was done in 3 hours and charged me less than he quoted initially. Clearly shows honesty in their work. They never answer their business line and I called over 5 times. Emailed thru yelp for a quote for a hitch w a 2 inch receiver for a bike rack. Quoted me $599 when Cap World quoted me $283. Cap world actually answer the phone and even had bike rack in-stock. With the Thule Classic 2 platform bike rack and hitch plus installation, total was $683. That's a huge difference Needless to say, you know where I'm taking my business. read more

BEWARE OF ANY EXTERIOR WORK BEING DONE ON YOUR TRUCK. Here I am less than 2 years after having them install the AMP Research Automatic Running Boards and the holes where they drilled are rusting. The rust has even spread. I specifically asked them if they primed the drilled holes they made for the running boards and they said yes. Maybe they did, but they botched one of the applications. I actually had to go back to Truck Guys for them to readjust the running boards 3 TIMES after I noticed that the running boards were colliding with the body of my truck, causing the black paint on the running board to chip to the metal. They adjusted and applied some black touch up paint which didn't last long. I am now living in Florida where the corrosion from road salt is not a concern and I still have this corrosion. That means their installation began rusting in less than 1.5 years while I lived in Boston. To think this is an authorized installer for Amp Research. I am reporting this to Amp Research and every other platform I can leave a review on. BBB, Yelp, Google, what ever lets me leave a review especially with pictures. Also take pictures of the areas they will be working in before leaving your truck. I had a heat shield in the engine compartment ripped and when I brought it up to them they completely denied it. Even when I showed them pictures of my truck from the dealership showing it was not ripped before dropping it off to them, they still denied it and said it could've happened in the 2 months after I purchased my truck. The worst customer service! They are rude and they know it all. They treat you like a dumb ass. I will take my business somewhere I am appreciated. They don't know what they are doing. Bought rims and tires and not satisfied came back to fix my truck shaking at 65 miles per hour and they worked on it again and it still wasn't fixed. Went back for a 3rd time and problem not solved. Now I have to go somewhere else to get my problem fixed and they don't even accept a return on my rims and tires! Great work, competitive pricing, honest and good customer service I emailed truck guys and DJ responded quickly. I wanted to have step bars and front grill lighting added to my truck, and sent some links from my research of what I wanted. They did not have anything I specifically sent, but DJ sent me information for comparable products they had which were priced at the same point. Other companies I emailed gave me bloated estimates of labor cost and price. Truck guys did the work at a fair price, and charged less time. When I picked up my truck, they took the time to go through all the work, answer all my questions and earnestly seemed to make sure I was satisfied. Long time ago my wife and bought a remote starter for our minivan. Even though they don't sell the service anymore, they took the time to reset and repair the system. If I could give zero stars I would. I was interested in back rack for my truck so stopped in to check place out. I ordered a rack, motion light, and was having them install saddle box and other lights I had. There associate knew everything I wanted wrote up bill and said it will be in a couple weeks and can do work. Couple weeks go by no call, I called them they said delay in shipping so waited no problem. Finally get call to setup date to install everything kid said will have truck by noon. Drop truck off before they are even open owner was there said this will take all day and I told him his guy said by 12. He said no his guy underbid job. They call me say truck is all done at 1 I go there to pickup and motion light not installed like I discussed with sales guy, they say oh the sales guy didn't order that bracket you need, unfortunately he no longer works for us so we couldn't ask him but we can order and move for you. Not too happy but trying to make best of it. I drive away thinking overall not bad. I get home to load stuff in saddle box and I see that they didn't use fasteners that allow you to secure saddle box to bed of truck without putting holes in it. Day I dropped off I said here are fasteners for saddle box showed installer there in front seat. Well fasteners must have got tossed they didn't use them and not in my truck, they decided to take self tap sheet metal screws and just drill thru top of bed to fasten I said to owner I could have done that if wanted holes in bed I said I asked you to install since you have the help here if need second hand to use proper fasteners. He says I do t know why they did that I'm sorry. Just when I think that's the end of problems another day goes by and driving down road I hear a loud noise like something hit truck then keep hearing something banging off it. I pull over and find light they installed for me dangling on side of truck by holding on by wire installed to it. I scheduled day to have light that feel off fixed and move motion light to location suppose to be. I go to pickup truck at 12 when they call and say it's all done, I show up and motion light moved but light that fell off still not re attached. Owner says oh I'm sorry I forgot to tell them about we will do right now. Instead of removing rest of screw that snapped off they leave it in and drill new hole for light to be mounted. I say to myself what ever I just want it done and move on. A week goes by and I think all headaches are done well nope same light falls off I call owner and he said bring in to let me see, so another trip. He looks at and said oh we have to get a stronger bolt I'll have to order and schedule to come In so you can drop off for day. I said I can't drop for day I've already lost more the. Enough time on your guys behalf. I said I can plan with you when I'm in area and do it he said ok. I problem call him and it will only take about 30min. I said ok well what about damage to my truck it has dings and scratches from light falling off twice now he said we can use touch up paint I said no that's more then touch up paint he said well it's like that cause way you tapped it on. I said no it's like that cause you guys failed twice abt installing it and fell off hitting my truck. I said I can't leave light bouncing off truck as I'm driving it needs to be secured. I said I'm watching how you plan on installing this light for 3rd time to see if I approve of how you plan to do it. I said I'm not having you just slap another screw in. He said nope your not watching us do any work. I said you failed twice so don't have much confidence in your abilities to do job right so want to see what you plan on doing and he refused. Sorry for book but don't brink you vehicle here it seems as they will hire anyone off the streets qualified or not and will Mickey Mouse anything they do to your vehicle. They are far from professional and far from quality work. Owner will not admit when wrong and plays a salesmen to give you any story he can to try and get out of mess. I was more then patient and willing to give benefit of doubt. I don't like coming on here to bad mouth but everyone else in area needs to know what they are getting from these people and best to bring business elsewhere or they will continue to do same stuff to everyone else. read more

I had a lift kit installed, which turned out fine, there not cheap. I spent close to 7k on wheels and tires, they installed cheap air pressure sensors which my new 2021 truck did not recognized, then told me to take it to the dealer, it was a nightmare trying to get them to work, and they still don't work right, thew will stop working randomly, I went to have the tire rotated with my oil change and they forgot to give me the lug tool for the new wheels. Now I have to leave work early and take another trip, this is my 4th trip there. I recently had a flat fixed, the never inflated the tire to manufactured specs, low tire light went on, I had to struggle to get 75 psi in the tire, two days later the light came on again, check the tire, the they fixed, it's still leaking , very expensive fix, cost me over $80.00.for a.plug that did not work, take it back, not only is it still leaking, now they forgot to install a wheel lug, now I have one wheel lug missing , I called them and they said they will heck it out and no call nack, now I have to find someone else to fix the flat right, and have to buy a whole new set of wheel lugs, the only reason I did not give them 1 star is they did install the lift kit right, I spent lose to a lot of Hard earned money with this company, and I am so not happy.. read more

I don't typically write reviews, but when service is great or horrible I feel I should. So I dropped my truck off yesterday for a 9:30 am appointment and admittedly I was 15 minutes late. The job I was having done was supposed to take all day, and I was supposed to pick my truck up just before closing. An hour before closing (and right before I was leaving Boston for the ride to Weymouth) I got a call to tell me the truck wasn't going to be done because I was late dropping it off. Well, I get it, that 15 minutes must've thrown off the entire days schedule; so I guess I don't have a leg to stand on with that one. So the guy tells me the truck will be done by 10:30am today and I should expect a phone call confirmation. At 11:30, still no call. I showed up at 11:40 to be told the truck was done but has not been returned to the shop. However, if I wanted the truck I could go get it myself ! The guy offered to pick it up but it would now be longer for me to get it ! I understand mistakes happen, but ironically, about a year ago I had truck guys install my spray in bedliner; same thing happened ! They had me wait around for an hour and a half after closing for my truck !! So here's the bottom line, these guys seem to be the only trick in town, so walk in knowing they are pretty unreliable with their scheduling. I guess it'd be one thing of they offered some type of reparation but after all of the inconvenience - nuthin !! Funny enough, the guy in line in front of me had the same issue !! So for the product review, their bedliner is not as durable as line-x (I had line-x in my last truck and it was great). It wore out and the truck guys fix looks shoddy. The leveling kit they installed is good so far ( but I've only had the truck back a few hours). Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with them. read more

Was told the tires and rims were local when I purchased them on a Monday, and was told they would be in in 4 days, meaning Friday to install, after 2 weeks of being told they are coming they finally arrived the 3rd week... total install took 5 hours some how and they even thought they were "being nice" by only charging me an extra $200 for "trimming" my tires rubbed IMMEDIATELY after pulling out. I absolutely recommend no one to purchase any car/truck accessories here, save your money and go somewhere else. I wouldn't buy from them again. read more

Go to Truck Guys first. I waisted 5 weeks waiting for NERF tubes from a custom place for yankees in Brockton (ya, the ones that heavily advertise). Once I called Truck Guys they had the tubes and installed them the next day! Really nice store layout with a customer waiting area; would be nice if they had a monitor so you could watch the install as the garage is below the store. Great staff and a full line of accessories ....... and they must have a great supplier too as I got the product I wanted the next day! Damn yankees :-( Never again. Don't go here... They lie to entice business. . I went here about a month ago.. I was buying a new truck and wanted some very expensive side steps.. So i inquired about the amp research power side step for my new Dodge Ram.... A sales associate told me everything i wanted to hear... We can do this no problem.. looked up everthing to make sure of proper fitment. . Blah...blah...blah. I was so impressed about how helpful he was i was ready to spend more money to buy my rims and tires through them.. Here's the kicker though... I was told i can buy the side steps through them or myself online being the price is the same (Which after a ton of online searching the price was the same as he quoted $1299 for the plug and play ) It didn't matter. .. The sales associate said if i buy them myself just give a call when they come in and make an appointment the cost of install won't change ...$200.... A couple of hours of work.. even less if i got the plug and play. ... So i call today (As i ordered the plug and play side steps and they just came in)...No one there knows what im talking about... No one remembers me... and im told since i didn't buy the steps through them that it would be $100 dollars an hour and 4-5 hours labor. ..WOW! ... 4-5 hours on a job i could do myself in my garage in 2 hours. . Especially the plug and play..I was willing to pay $200 to not deal with the hassle of it...and also have a professional do the job. .. But then it hit me. .. Truck guys is probably not professionals but just a bunch of guys who used to work on things in their garage at home and started a business... That's how they treat there customer base... With out a care..... This industry just doesn't care about an honest buck...No one honors anything anymore.. it feels like everyone in the automotive industry and especially the car & truck accessories industry is just trying to rip you for every penny they can get. .. Can't there be some integrity while still pulling a profit? Now i can't offer my opinion on the quality of work but if it's anything like their lies and hustle of customers then you'll be just as disappointed if not more. . .. What an over all horrible experience, from beginning to end. First it started off scheduling an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed on my 2015 jeep. The truck was dropped off at 9:30 am and since I was dropping off my vehicle I had to jockey cars. I returned at 4pm and the vehicle was not touched. Asking what happened and wondering why I wasn't called and informed the vehicle was not worked on..the answer was the hitch they ordered didn't fit and they weren't sure why I wasn't contacted. Leaving the business I was a little upset about the lack of communication. They already had a 50 dollar deposit for ordering the wrong part so I called to schedule another appointment..another two phone calls went unreturned. Upon stopping into the establishment I told the manager about my previous visit and about my calls that were unreturned that morning and he apologized and set me up an appointment the next morning. He informed me that the truck needed to be dropped off before 10am and would be finished early afternoon. The next morning I dropped the vehicle off at 930am and reminded the manager about my issue with lack of communication and just to let me know if any issues arise during installation, at that point he checked my vehicle himself and assured me they had the correct hitch in stock and it would be done early afternoon. Come 3pm since traffic was beginning I called the truck guys and inquired about the status of my truck and was told they were just taking it in at that point to be worked on...they close at 6pm. At 530 instead of calling I went into the business and could see my vehicle out front with the hitch installed. I asked why I wasn't contacted as I had been waiting all afternoon. The answer I received was that after paying 425$ for the hitch and wiring and install, the wiring wasn't working and they had a call into jeep to figure it out. No discount no communication just over all terrible service. After all that was said and done I still needed another afternoon to go to jeep and have the wiring turned on. read more

This was the 4th and final time I gave this place a shot. I went here to have a stereo installed in my truck. They pulled the display model and attempted to use that one in my truck. After I caught them and told them I did not want the display model then then offered a 20 percent discount. Had I not caught them I would have been shit out of luck. After they attempted this I got my money back and left. The 3 times I had been here before they did a poor job of installing my spray in bed liner, although the did reluctantly agree to reinstall it because it had a lifetime warranty The installed running boards and the gaskets to keep the water out fell off. The installed a radio and the mount broke after a week. I told them of all these issues and this was the last shot for them so please do the job correctly and they blew it.
