15-Year Loyal Customer Extorted & Ghosted…read more After 15+ years of buying multiple cars and exclusively servicing them at O'Steen Volkswagen, I am completely done. This place has devolved into an incompetent, overpriced nightmare with zero work ethic. If you value your time, your wallet, or your safety, stay far away. Here is how they completely screwed me over a two-week period ROUND #1: Paid $250 for a repair thy could not show me what they have actually done. Just saying we had to replace a cable. THE ISSUE: Took my VW in for a basic electrical problem with the car light. THE "SERVICE": They left my car sitting in the lot for nearly a week. They completely ignored every single phone call and email update request. THE RESULT: I got a broken, un-openable text via a text message saying it was done. Because I trusted them after 15 years, I picked it up without checking. BIG MISTAKE. The next early in the morning on my way to work, the light failed again. It came how it did; I was pulled over by the police! I only avoided a ticket because I showed the officer the $250 receipt I had just paid O'Steen for "fixing" it. ROUND 2: Held My Car Hostage for $998 THE "SERVICE": I brought it back furious. Once again, they ghosted me for another full week. I literally sent a letter to the CEO and phoned the shop repeatedly because I need my car to go to work. ZERO RESPONSE. THE PRICE GOUGING: They sent another broken automated text. This time, they hit me with a $998 bill for a part replacement that was in my opinion perfectly fine and likely just needed to be cleaned. They now charge exorbitantly high prices for zero pride in their work. And funny enough, during my wait, another gentlemen came with a complaint about the terrible service and price he had to pay and complained about the unwillingness to help. He showed to me that he wrote a complaint on google reviews that hit 1.9 million views. To O'Steen Management: We were scheduled to buy our next brand-new car in the coming months because the "old but working car" came in the years. Because of this pathetic excuse for service, we will NEVER buy a vehicle from you again. You threw away 15 years of loyalty for a sloppy $1,250 cash grab. I paid $1,261 for repair work on my vehicle, and the work was never performed. The individual who took my money was operating inside United Auto's facility, using their location and space to conduct business. At no point was it made clear that he was supposedly an "independent" operator, nor did he appear to be separated from the business in any noticeable way. After the work was not done, I later discovered that the person who took the payment -- "Bobby Body Shop" -- does not appear anywhere on Florida's business registry (Sunbiz.org) and does not appear to have any verifiable license or business presence in the state. United Auto ultimately refunded my money, which I appreciate, but that also confirms that this situation was tied to their location and operations. The process was confusing, unprofessional, and handled with very poor oversight. No customer should ever have to dig through state databases to confirm whether someone working inside a repair facility is even legally registered to perform repairs. This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted a significant amount of time. Consumers deserve far better clarity, professionalism, and accountability.

They SELL LEMONs!!! The day after purchasing the car the check engine light came on...that happened…read more5 times in the first 30 days...they assured me it was just a fuse and other issues that they "fixed". Every time I took it to them (45 min from where I live) they would clear the "check engine light" however it would come back. At 1 and 1/2 month after purchasing and now "check engine" #4 or 5 by the time I took it to an Auto zone and had them plug in their machine to let me know of issue. That is where they stated that the Catalytic Converter needed to be replaced. Took it back to United auto and Although they "fixed" it...I find out today by a mechanic at Goodyear that the mechanic at United auto placed the catalytic converter BACKWARDS clogging and pushing oil in the wrong direction. Causing my engine to be damaged. Even though they said they were "fixing" the issues, and like they stated "they did not have to help me" because all sales were final...their mechanic made a mistake and now the repair is $3-4K (thousand) and Goodyear cannot guarantee it will keep the car running long term because of the damage his mechanic made. United auto tries to blame me stating I was running the car without oil when it was a mistake by them. This was for sure a LEMON. I paid $12,500 and now I am Out of that money that I PAID in CASH!!!!!...not a loan.

First, the finance department added approximately $4,000 in service, maintenance, and warranty products that I specifically did not want. I was promised a refund within 4-6 weeks, but I am still fighting to recover the money owed to me. Next, the dealership failed to submit my registration within the required 30-day window. After weeks of chasing them, they finally submitted it - incorrectly. They messed up the paperwork required to secure accessible plates for my husband, a 100% disabled military veteran (despite being given all of the necessary information and repeatedly told how important these plates are to his mobility). Think they cared about fixing this? They could have cared less - I had to take hours out of my day to go to the tag office and correct their mistake myself. Finally, they sent me home with the wrong key fob. When I called and asked them to correct their mistake, I was blamed for it (how was that my fault?!) and arrogantly told to, "calm down, lady." Instead of arranging a reasonable solution, they required me to make another two-hour round trip to retrieve the correct fob. I previously bought two Subarus from this dealer under its former ownership and received excellent service. The contrast under the current ownership could not be more striking. I deeply regret this purchase and will never return. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend buying elsewhere.
