Banana chia seed pudding
Laura J.

You would think that for a scratch kitchen they would make their matcha fresh, but they don't. It's stored in a container under the bar, pre made. The color just isn't it, the taste was equally as bad. The chia seed pudding was mid, make it at home. The grain bowl was really rummy, but for 28 bucks? We also waited like 25 minutes for one bowl of food. We were told we had to wait and couldn't sit at the bar. Put name in and someone stole our table, but it was somewhat the hostesses fault as she didn't send out the text saying it was ready. Never had someone steal a reservation before! Bartenders were nice!

True Food Kitchen has been a long time staple in Cherry Creek at least for as long as I have been in Denver and they have always killed it and I think they have even gotten better over time. They are always my go to spot when I find myself in Cherry Creek and I want something on the healthier side that won't break the bank. I really do always feel like my stomach feels good after eating here. When you think of healthy food, typically taste is sacrificed for health but I never felt like that is the case here. No matter what I get here, it's always at least decent if not delicious. It is also really cool to see the open concept kitchen where you can easily see all the chefs prepare the whole foods. It is evident that they take pride in their food. The only thing that I am taking a star off for is that I have often felt rushed when dining there. We also asked for no sauce on the grass fed burger and when we received the burger with sauce on it and pointed it out the person who appeared to be the manager just replied "ok...?" like we were annoying him or he didn't understand what the issue was. Overall, love this place and will continue coming here for my tummy friendly food!

Been here many times (also in Arizona too). The food is so fresh and consistent. The Caesar salad is always a good one but I also love the Korean Noodle Bowl is a favorite (+grilled chicken). They can accommodate pretty much every food needs and the portions are just right (matches the cost). Highly recommend and will continue to be a repeat customer!

Airelle was a fantastic server, she made the experience for us. Outstanding sour dough pizza we also enjoyed the watermelon salad! It's spacious, but parking can be a challenge. The food was so good, I would definitely go back or try another location.

Edamame Dumplings

True Food Kitchen always delivers delicious from start to finish. Our server, Christian, was warm, attentive, and a step ahead of anything we needed. One of our favorite starters is the Edamame Dumplings. This vegetarian-friendly starter is only 270 calories for the whole dish. You know they're on the way when the truffle aroma reaches your table. It's wild how they take simple edamame and dial the flavor up to eleven. The silky broth is so good you'll want to drink it straight from the bowl. If you're sharing, you'll be fighting to get the last drop. I usually order the Spaghetti Squash Casserole, but tonight I switched it up with the Lasagna al Pesto. The pistachio pesto bursts with bright, herby notes that balance the tangy tomato sauce perfectly. The turkey-sausage Bolognese was tasty, for me it was just a touch salty. My husband went for the Chicken Parmesan. The True Crisp'dâ„¢ air-fried chicken breast was juicy, crisp, and generous; easily enough for two meals. I regret not ordering it myself! This dish packs 50 grams of protein and every bite tastes like comfort. We left happy, grateful, and already planning our next visit. Thank you, Christian and True Food Kitchen, for another lovely night.

Great food and a lot of options but definitely on the pricy side but they are on inkind!

Rancher's Hash
Shareen S.

I was craving something healthy in Cherry Creek and decided to try TFK. I was impressed by the variety of affordable organic options and fresh juices on the menu. Despite being busy on a late Sunday morning, the wait was short. The front staff, however, seemed a bit overwhelmed. There were three hosts working--one of them in training--and their process of calling out guest names without taking phone numbers felt inefficient, especially when they struggled to locate people on the waitlist. Once seated, service improved significantly. Our server was attentive, and our order was taken promptly. We opted for a patio table to enjoy the beautiful weather. I ordered the Rancher's Hash, which came with eggs, grass-fed beef, sweet potato, avocado, tomato, and peppers. The flavors blended nicely, though it was on the salty side, so consider asking for no added salt if you're sensitive to that. Overall, the food and atmosphere made for a great experience. I'll definitely return to try more dishes next time.

Immediately when you walk in the food smells amazing. It can be busy so be prepared for the environment to be a bit busy. Service was great and the food tasted delicious. Only a 4 since the bun of my burger was soggy.

I love this menu, very innovative. I came in for a quick lunch and it was busy. I tried the edamame dumplings and they were very good. It is garnished with white truffle oil, dashi, thai basil, and sesame seeds I will need to try to make a copycat version at home. I also ordered a salad. Service was good and fast. Casual. Please come and create your own adventure.

Edamame dumpling with white truffle oil
Melissa L.

Out of town review. I don't have true food kitchen where I live, but I've been to one when I was visiting Austin so I was glad to see that they had one in Denver so I can eat here again. I ordered the edamame dumpling with white truffle oil. Honestly, this was the one dish that I was looking forward to to the most. It left a memorable impression on me last time. Along with the dumplings, I had an iced Matcha Horchata drink and I ordered the crispy chicken salad that I think was one of their seasonal menu items. They weren't super busy today and we were well attended on by our server. This place is a little pricey, but you can taste the quality in the ingredients. This is in the downtown area of Cherry Creek so you can either park on the street or in some of the lots. Kid friendly with high chairs and changing stations in the bathroom. Overall, 4/5 stars

We walked in without reservations and managed to grab one of the last open tables, so I'd definitely recommend booking ahead. The space has a great atmosphere with low lighting, candles on the tables, and that lively dinner buzz that makes a restaurant feel exciting without being overwhelming. Our server, who I think may have also been a manager, was fantastic and brought such a fun energy to the experience. The house focaccia immediately changed my opinion of the place. Honestly the best focaccia I've ever had. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, salty, flavorful, and good enough to eat completely on its own. The spring greens were light and fresh, and both pasta dishes were excellent with perfectly al dente pasta and great seasoning. I ordered the chimaera alla vodka, but my friend's no waste gnocchi ended up being my favorite bite of the night. We finished with lattes and tiramisu, and somehow the meal kept getting better. The coffee was genuinely better than what you get at a lot of coffee shops, and the tiramisu was light, balanced, and not overly sweet or soggy like it sometimes can be. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Totally OK, but the condescending tone is unnecessary. Again, first visit here and I was in a rush- it should be standard at the register to share that information; where to go, what to get. Second visit, I brought my colleagues and manager. Again, this information was not shared but luckily I was there to just get them what they needed. No big deal! But the food came out at different times and most of us felt uncomfortable eating food unless the entire table had theirs. Third time and here I am writing a review. I waited for my food as multiple people got served prior to me. I tried smiling and waving to someone who was delivering the food, and she was clearly avoiding me. She even checked in on everyone around me... On top of that, they seem well trained at removing the table number once the food has been served. My table number remained up for 25 minutes. I purchased an entree, drink, and a cookie- really trying to support the business here despite the lack of mind for the consumer. Not until another woman who seemed to have the outside coverage passed by was I able to get to share my issue. The manager came and offered me an additional side or dessert but my meal came with two sides and I had already purchased a cookie. He explained that the issue was because my order was pushed as completed but that does not cover the fact my table number was up the entire time and the other service members completely ignoring me. I am at Cherry Creek for work every other week and wanted this place to be my go-to for meals but 3/3 visits of service being subpar- I've got to move on! I audit service for work and understand I can't make judgment from the first two visits. This third one solidified it! I am not comfortable at Flower Child. 3 stars for 3 underwhelming experiences.

As a bacon lover, this sandwich felt like home. I was really pleased they opt for a savory tofu as the protein option on this sandwich, as I prefer tofu to tempeh for all reasons. I had the Thai peanut salad, which was incredibly bland. The sauce/dressing was scanty and barely tasted like anything -- I didn't taste peanuts really and definitely no hint of curry/spice like I expected. There was a section of sliced jalapeno but I didn't want to eat raw jalapeno with my salad, I wanted a zestier dressing. The "crispy" tofu was tofu that was completely fried so it had a texture like a crunchy zwiebach cracker/rusk -- I had been envisioning something with some softness and a chewy exterior. My beverage was a lavender Palmer that was a pint jar of lemonade with some lavender tea on top. For those two items it was $27. I have some oral allergy issues and after eating, I had a "burned" mouth feeling like I get from tahini, walnut or eggplant. I don't think any of these ingredients would have been in the salad, but I do not have an issue with peanuts (eat them all the time). I called to ask if the dressing had tahini in it and was told no, but it still concerned me.
