One of my favorite healthier chain restaurants. This was a new location for me to try, but as expected, everything was great! We dined in mid-afternoon when it was a bit quieter. I like the restaurant layout and decor. It's always a great vibe when dining indoors and equally chill outdoors on the patio. The food is always delicious. Grass fed burger and kale salad totally hit the spot. For the first time, I tried the lavender matcha. I enjoyed it, but thought lavender flavor could have bern a bit stronger. (Personal preference) Overall a great dining experience with wonderful service. Located within Century City Westfield mall is great. Food was OK, service sometimes great, and the environment was just right. With so many places at the mall that can be in the middle of everything and therefore overly crowded with shoppers, or at places that have a huge following, it was nice to find a place a bit more under the radar. TRK is all the way on one end, so you either find it right away, or you have to seek it out. The menu has lots of variety, with many things that sound promising and/or unique. We tried two burgers and a winning appetizer. The appetizer was probably the most interesting thing we had. EDAMAME DUMPLINGS (white truffle oil, dashi, thai basil, sesame seeds) have a good Unami quality to them. Flavorful and easy to share, there are about 5 or 6 to an order. The flavors pop nicely. Though our first glasses of water were fresh and cold, it took awhile for a refill. It also took awhile for the appetizer dish to be removed. It stayed with us (empty) throughout our entrees. The two burgers we tried were fine. A little underwhelming but not bad. The ALL-AMERICAN BURGER (Verde Farms organic 100% grass-fed beef, aged white cheddar, TFK special sauce, butter lettuce, tomato) was nowhere near the medium rare requested. The flavors seemed a little hard to distinguish - maybe too much going on in the burger, or perhaps a bit more care was needed in the execution. Similarly, GRASS-FED BURGER (Verde Farms organic 100% grass-fed beef, roasted wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, organic arugula, parmesan, umami sauce) was served more medium well than MR. Kind of a smash of flavors that seemed buried by an average tasting burger. The kale salad I got as a side was a welcome shot of life. Bold and crisp, I was a fan of that. With plans for afterwards, there was no dessert or coffee this time. I might return, and I do really like the overall layout here. I've been to Westfield Century City countless times and somehow never realized there was a True Food Kitchen tucked inside the mall. I'm glad I finally gave it a try! I always look for restaurants with outdoor seating, and True Food Kitchen has a great patio area that's perfect to eat together with my dog. I ordered the All American Burger, and it was absolutely delicious + perfectly juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I also ordered an extra unseasoned patty on the side for my little dog. The service was excellent as well. Samantha was my waitress, and she was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. I wanted to take my dogs out to lunch and ended up at True Food Kitchen at Westfield Century City last Monday, March 23. I've been to this mall many times but didn't know this place existed as it was a little difficult to find but we found it! The overall experience was pretty good. I did feel a little weird about the guy greeting us when we walked in for a table----it was empty as it was a little before 3pm and after their lunch rush. My roommate and I walked in with two dogs (one in a stroller). He asked if it was just us two and then asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. I told him wherever we could sit with our pups and he said 'There's not that much shade outside.' I repeated that I had my dogs with me and pointed to them and he led us outside. He gave us a table that was half shaded and there were maybe two other parties scattered on their patio. When the server greeted us, we asked her if it was at all possible if she could move the umbrella just a little bit to give us more shade (no other tables were using it) and she did it with no problem. Our server (I can't remember her name and I'm sorry for that) was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us great recommendations. I ordered an order of air fried fries to share for the table and I was trying to decided between a couple of things but ended up deciding on their Jambalaya and got a side of shrimp and a side of chicken for the pups. I ordered an iced tea to drink and that was refilled promptly. Portions are perfect, flavors are clean, prices are reasonable. I finished everything and felt very full by the end of the meal but not gross. I'm kind of upset I didn't know about this place before. My dogs very much enjoyed their time----the location was very peaceful. On the website and other photos I've seen of the menu for True Food Kitchen showed photos of a lunch menu but when we asked, this location only seems to have one all day menu. Not an issue, just to be aware if you were looking at one of their lunch menus and thought something on their looked good. I didn't feel like drinking so I didn't get any alcoholic beverages but they do have them and can't wait to try them next time. read more

I've been here three times. Each time the order is undercooked or missing items. We get the ancient grains bowl and mushroom pizza. The pizza is always under. The grain bowl last night was missing pesto so we asked the server if the chef could put some on the side. We ordered the watermelon and halloumi salad but would not order again. The cheese had grill marks but was cold. The slices were only 1/8" thick. It was like eating shaved Parmesan. Watermelon was fresh and juicy. They used seedless which seems to be the only available watermelon now. I do appreciate the non-alcoholic menu. I ordered the spritz with pomegranate juice. I had the pleasure of dining here at True Food Kitchen during a private event. I never even realized this restaurant was there honestly. The inside is very clean, spacious, plenty of seating and a great place to set a networking/business lunch. The servers were extremely friendly and gave great recommendations for good drinks to have. I am extremely glad we found this place because my newest obsession has been the Edamame Dumplings (Veg). I honestly could not get enough of them and I wish they came in a bigger size order. Stopped by this location since we were craving their OG burger, which is our favorite from True Food. The burger here was okay. It's not as juicy as their other locations, maybe it was just for that day. Nonetheless, the flavor is still very good. Patty is seasoned well and the veggies are fresh. The side mac & cheese goes well with the burger. Nice and cheesy. I also ordered their salmon salad, which was by far my new favorite in addition to the OG burger. The salmon is cooked just right, its got a nice crust on the outside but the inside is nice and flaky. It complements the salad really well. Absolutely loved this entree. If you need a food spot or bar with TVs to catch some of a sports game, True Food is an excellent (and possibly the only) option for you. I had a Lucy Liu Q&A at the AMC at Century City Mall and HAD to quickly catch the end of the LA Rams game with 30 minutes left. Thank the heavens for True Food Kitchen! I was able to belly up to the bar and watch my guys clinch a Playoff spot. The staff was friendly and great the whole time, with one guy knowing wassup as we quipped about old man Rivers being back in play. My friend hadn't been to True Food before so we started with the Edamame Dumplings as I knew they would be a hit. Yep, my friend agreed those little fellas slapped. We also tried their pizza and enjoyed that, as well. They have gluten-friendly crusts! Again, I love that True Food lists the calories and protein - 1000 and 26g for this sourdough crusted za. Ambience was nice. I noticed there were a lot of families with kids which made us feel more comfortable dining with our 2 year old. Service was slow, our starter took a while to come out. Our server was okay but looked pretty distracted and in a rush. Place got a little busy so we had to get his attention for our check and some to go containers. First time at True Food Kitchen. I liked the layout of the place with the central island bar with seats and the natural feel. But most of all, I really enjoyed the food. I had a hummus appetizer followed by a perfectly cooked Norwegian salmon with a warm spinach/edamame salad, and a mixed fruit cocktail. The food was very tasty and light with very clean flavors. Healthy food done right! I really liked my iced lavender matcha latter as well. Dined here last Saturday night. I really liked the atmosphere and the great service so I am sorry to report that I did not care for the Salmon meal ($30). The Salmon was not that good and I would not order it again. The Salmon was dry, and had that bitter aftertaste like you get from fish just unfrozen. The vegetable also tasted just reheated. The rice was fine. For $30 this is not the kind of meal I want. What this restaurant excelled in was the Organic Black Coffee. I would definitely come back here for the Organic Black Coffee--it was delicious! Maybe the best black coffee I have had--and they had unlimited refills! Yes! I just don't know if I would come back here for food? Parking is in the mall parking lot and it's expensive to park here--everyone knows that. Parking cost is one of the reasons I don't shop in this mall often. We came here to see a movie at AMC. Stopped by for the DineLA special. We got an app, main, and dessert for $35. We came on a Sunday around 5p so it was a still quiet. The place is quite expansive and lots of room inside and outside. The apps we got were tasty: the hummus and dumplings were filling and delicious. The lasagna entree had a great pesto to complement the turkey bits. The plant based double cheeseburger tasted good but the "meat" didn't hold too well. The restaurant was clean, calm, and inviting, which made for a comfortable dining experience. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive--not overly chatty, but friendly and professional. The waitress asked how I wanted the salmon cooked and mentioned that medium was the chef's recommendation, which I appreciated. The salmon was cooked nicely, though it was slightly more fishy than I prefer--but still very good overall. I also removed most of the avocado from my dish, and even without it, the bowl was very flavorful and satisfying. I had teriyaki sauce on the side. In spite of it being not so crowded, they accommodated our request to sit on the heated patio (another restaurant that shall not be named at the mall didn't do this even though all their heaters were clearly on). We both opted for the half market salads as starters and then salmon for one entree and the poke bowl for the other. With a sulfites allergy we were able to swap out the dressing for the salad but for some reason the kitchen didn't fire both salads at the same time. So while three dishes came out at once, one salad was tardy (our server George was apologetic and did discount the late salad). True food kitchen consistently remains one of my favorite staples. The service tonight by Jessica was fantastic. We were seated immediately, but due to a draft from the door, we asked to move, and they immediately accommodated which was very kind of them. Jessica saw to us attentively throughout the night and make sure our meal was seamless with quick service and a fantastic tableside manner. Service at TFK was a five star experience. I took off one star because the gluten-free crust continues to be not something I would order again. I know the team at True Food Kitchen is working hard to improve those gluten-free pizza options and I look forward to a future successful press, but this one is not it. I would probably call the consistency and the taste of the crust similar to matzah crackers. The crust kind of hurt to eat to be honest and I left the edges on my plate. 2/5 for the pizza. The Sza Cza salad is an option on their money that donates to under communities, which is a really nice touch to include. Usually, I get the organic kale salad and add salmon on top, but I will say that the salad is probably better off in its original form with no additions. 3.5/5 The highlight of the night was the Korean noodle bowl, which was unsurprising as it's one of my tried and true favorites. It was delicious as is, although I would probably add less oil. 5/5 Overall, due to the excellent service by Jessica, the lovely ambience of the restaurant, and the delicious food, especially the Korean noodle bowl, the night at TFK was excellent.
