I really loved their ambience and all of their interior designs. It was really cool to see all the movies they did in the past. The service was good. Their mocktails were pretty flavorful and all had such a fun theme. Meals are pricier but it is definitely fine dining! There is a small parking lot in the back but plenty of street parking.

A very nice café that we really enjoyed. It's clean and well-kept, and the staff are friendly and polite. The menu is interesting, with plenty of dishes to choose from. In addition to the soup, we tried mashed potatoes with salmon and truffle-and-cheese fries sprinkled with garlic -- everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the soup. It was also lovely to see the many photos of the café's founder, Spielberg's mother, with different celebrities. They're very charming and fun to look at while waiting for your order.

This is the coziest, sweetest little restaurant in LA off Pico. Everything was absolutely delicious, Caesar salad, fresh pasta, trout almandine and mashed potatoes. Just felt like your Mom was cooking you this lovely home cooked meal. Nice wine/cocktail list, comfy booths and tables. Highly recommend.

Unique and one of a kind! I've heard about this place due to its famous late owner, Leah Adler, famous restaurateur and once concert pianist, also, most of all, mother of Steven Spielberg. I finally came with a friend and we both enjoyed the food and the nice atmosphere! It is a small place, hidden on Pico Blvd, not too far from Fox Studio. The outside is busy street scenes but the inside has a calm, quiet, and neighborhood vibe. We ordered a salad and a salmon dish; both were good and the portion size was good. Now, before you leave, make sure you take a walk through their poster gallery -- Spielberg's masterpieces are all there! A great way to finish the meal with the enjoyment of images of some of the greatest iconic cinematic works made in this town -- and like they said in the commercial: "PRICELESS"!

This is an LA classic. Never heard of it until last week, but I think any visitor to Los Angeles should make a stop here. Why? Because atmosphere is elegant and classy, but not stuffy, the food is exceptional, and it occupies an interesting cultural niche. The late owner of was Steven Spielberg's mom, which puts one foot squarely in the secular world, but the restaurant is also dairy kosher, which adds a very traditional element. For those who don't know, dairy kosher means the restaurant serves fish, dairy products, vegetables etc, but not meat. The waiters were very nice. It was a little bit amusing how long it took for water to be brought to the table, but overall the service was great!

The Milky Way is a cozy, kosher restaurant with a really cute ambiance and comfy booths. They do not serve any meat here but they do have fish on the menu. The restaurant was owned by Steven Spielberg's mom, Leelee. Her memory lives on here through her delicious comfort food. I ordered the trout almandine from the regular menu and my dining companion ordered the halibut from the special menu. Both fish were excellent and came with an appetizer. We both chose the butternut squash soup. And for dessert, we got the cheesecake. The meal was delicious, healthy, and delightful. We had a great time dining at the Milky Way. The interior is comfortable and inviting. Lots of booths! The servers were very kind and hospitable. It was a very relaxing ambiance. Love that they have a loyalty program here. They also have special events from time to time. Metered parking on the street,

First time visiting Pico, so ofc we had to pay homage by visiting The Milky Way~ This place is booomb. My bf and I walked in on a weekday evening and surprisingly had no issues getting a table. CHEESE BLINTZES: Hot & pillowy, with a smooth, creamy filling. The cheese just barely makes it savory; otherwise, with the fruit and whipped dip, this is basically a dessert. I wish there were more than 2 :') SALMON PUFFS: This is so buttery and feathery, after the initial crunch, the puff just melts in your mouth. Savory-sweet goodness. My bf was a big fan of these! FETTUCINE WITH WILD MUSHROOM AND ARTICHOKE: Lightly seasoned-- you can definitely taste the freshness of the mushroom. The noodles and artichoke were fine, but the mushrooms were my favorite part.

Kosher restaurant located in the mid City area (I think) of LA. I seriously never heard of this restaurant until recently. My friend and I got like the idea of going here after we visited another Jewish deli the day prior and had sandwiches so big we didn't have room for latkes. So, my friend hit me up and told me this place is supposed to have good latkes. Got here around peak lunch time and it wasn't that busy so we were able to sit right away. Between me, and my friend, we split the latkes, some cheese blintzes, and a tuna melt. I will have to say that this place is very good. I haven't been to a lot of kosher restaurants in my time, but I would imagine this is pretty darn great when it comes to kosher restaurants. The tuna melt was made pretty darn well and it was perfectly crispy. The quiet self was really clean. It almost felt like a northern European type room with a lot of wood. Again, we came here for lunch around 1230 and it was pretty quiet. You could hear conversations almost on the other side of the room even though we tried to not to listen in. The service here was super attentive, and the folks were super nice. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and would love to come back here again. Also, it should be noted that this is or was Steven Spielberg's mom's restaurant. Her name escapes me and apologies for referring to this restaurant as such, because irrespective of famous ties, this is a quality establishment.

The spicy tuna kimbap was pretty standard, the prime rib cheesesteak was a little salty, and the mushroom noodles were good. We later found out that our server had gone on his lunch break, but no one had let us know, so we weren't sure what was going on. Once he returned, our entrees came out shortly afterward. Without us asking, the restaurant ended up comping our entrees to make up for the delay, which we appreciated. Overall, considering the food, service, and value, the experience was okay. While I appreciated how they handled the service delay, it's not somewhere I would specifically seek out to return, but it was a decent meal. Entering the restaurant there's an open air patio in the back with lovely greenery and lighting. The decor and service is lovely, but unfortunately the food hasn't improved too much since my last visit a few years ago. While sounding good on the menu, I felt the flavors were lacking especially at this price point. We were pretty happy with the raw items, the hamachi, oysters and scallops. The scallop crudo felt like it should have been served with some chips or some vessel... We were just scooping scallops, cucumber and avocado out with some forks. The pork belly came and was presented well, but the pork belly itself was quite bland. The skin is crispy, most of the flavors came from the pickled carrots and vegetables. The hanger steak was cooked well, but it was way too salty. It was paired with this orange dip with maybe gojuchang?, fried potatoes pieces, roasted turnip, dill and pickled onions...it didn't work and it just tasted like a salty 58$ mess. The crispy brussel sprouts were for sure crispy.. and there was a big bowl of it....but it was way too salty/acidic with no sweetness to balance it. We gave it a second chance since we loved the vibes, but we were quite disappointed again and will likely not be coming back....

Instead, I was completely ignored. Thinking perhaps the bartender was only responsible for preparing drinks and not taking orders, I got up and went to the hostess stand. The host was kind, promptly seated me, and was seated in a booth. Moments later, I watched two Caucasian women sit down at the bar. They were immediately greeted, given menus, and attended to without delay. Seeing that stark difference in how we were treated was incredibly disappointing. At that point, I no longer felt welcome.
