My family and I had such a great dining experience at True Food Kitchen! I was initially intrigued by the restaurant because of its menu and co-founder, Dr. Andrew Weil. I was already familiar with Dr. Weil through his work with Origins, and I use his line of skincare products from Origins, so I was excited to try a restaurant inspired by his approach to food and wellness. We were pleasantly surprised by everything we ordered. The food is definitely different from what you might find at a typical restaurant, but in the best possible way. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The Edamame Dumplings were AMAZING! My daughter loves dumplings, and she absolutely adored them. We also tried several entrées, including the Chicken Parmesan and Spicy Panang Curry with different proteins. As someone who loves Panang curry, I thought it was awesome! The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and inviting. They also have a really cute private dining room enclosed in glass with curtains for additional privacy. It even has a TV, which would be perfect for a meeting or presentation, or for playing a special video during a birthday or other celebration. What made our experience even better was our server, Stormy. She was amazing! You can genuinely tell that she loves her job and believes in the food she serves. She freely shared her personal favorites and recommendations, and nothing felt scripted or forced. You could tell she genuinely meant every recommendation she gave us. It kills me to have to give this spot only 3 stars, but the salmon wasn't fresh or flavorful on my go-to favorite Kale salad. They could have provided a wedge of lime or lemon to help with the issue. However the Mediterranean Bowl on the brunch menu was delicious. Service was very good and as always the restaurant is beautiful. I am concerned that the parking by lot was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon. Restaurant might want to start offering specials with discounts if they want to keep people coming back. read more

Went there 8/28/26 with my wife and grandson for dinner. She ordered.the salmon (to share with him) and I got the Margherita pizza. Two of thw worst meals that we've eaten in years. The salmon was overcooked and fishy. The pizza looked like a thinner crust boboli that my kids made when they were younger. Sauce and crust were bland. That and 2 iced teas -$66+ tip, and we both swore off True Foods forever. We understand that food is pricey right now but $78 for a bad meal is regretful. Service was very friendly, seemed knowledgeable about the menu items. The only thing that I didn't like is that each item I asks about, she said it was really good, which usually something is not. She did mention that she prefers another salad over what I selected, and I like when servers tell me their favorite items. It definitely seems like a place for a business lunch, I went by myself and actually quite a few people were there by themselves in case you're shy about dining in by yourself. It was fairly busy for a Monday morning lunch. I originally was going to get their lunch special to go bc I have stuff to do, but they said it wasn't available to go. Since I did actually have time to sit for a bit I decided to dine in. (It says dine in only on the bottom of the menu but my brain conveniently skipped over that part) When they seat you they stick a white card on the table that the server picks up after they've come to the table. I feel like it's a subtle thing that clues in the servers about which tables they've been to, especially on a busy night. I had an iced matcha with almond milk. It was sweet, but not too sweet. Matcha grade seemed on par with what I'd expect in a matcha beverage. Lunch special was $20 for a drink, main and side. Some stuff was a surcharge. I had the burger and Chinese chicken salad. Drink was a pink dragon fruit lemonade which I knew my mini mini would love, so I saved it for her. I thought it was a little tart for me, she thought it was amazing. The burger- I requested to add pickles bc I love them. It was cooked nicely, flavor was decent. I'm a huge fan of white cheddar. The sauce, per the server, was ketchup and Mayo, and they didn't drown the burger in it, so that was good. I think they make their pickles in house and tbh, I know I would have liked the burger less without pickles. I think it needed a tiny bit of acidity for balance. It was a $5 surcharge. Overall I enjoyed it, 8.5/10 The Chinese chicken salad was a hearty salad, and a lot of beautiful colors and textures. Watermelon radish is so pretty in this. The carrot ginger dressing wasn't over the top with ginger. I think the natural sweetness of the carrot really tones it down. The toasted quinoa, I could take it or leave it, but it didn't taste bad, I'm just not a huge quinoa fan. 8/10, and a $2 surcharge. So, if you want to get it as close to $20 before tax and tip, don't get anything that they have a surcharge for, but I liked what I got, it came to under $40 before tip. I wanted to try the kale aid but I'll get that next time. (A $5 surcharge if you get the lunch option) Another plus- I think the straws are biodegradable but they are not the paper straws that dissolves 2 sips in. Yay! The chocolate chip cookie- to me it tasted like they put banana in it. If you're hoping for a chewy chocolate chip cookie, this is not it. It's thick and fairly soft. It reminded me of when people make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies- similar texture. The tcho chocolate in it was good, but I didn't like the actual cookie dough that much. Mini mini thought it was so good, but she also thought it tasted like banana was in it. I think it was a 6/10, mini mini would give it an 8/10. So, about a 7/10. Restroom was relatively clean, had a baby changing table in the stall if needed. The floor seemed a bit sticky though. Would I come back? Yes when I'm in the area, I don't live close by. read more

Margherita pizza could have come out of a frozen section and was warm if not cool like it had been sitting for 10' or so in the back. Steaks was bland and tough and also like it had been sitting post cook 10' We must have waited 20' for our tiramisu. True Food is a very spacious place. They've got kitchen tables so you can sometimes see the workers actively preparing your food. I tried out their jambalaya, iced lavender matcha latte, and cheesy mashed potatoes. I didn't like the shrimp in the jambalaya but everything else in it was relatively good. The lavendar matcha latte contained less liquid that I would like. The cheesy mashed potatoes was good. The service was satisfactory. A few friends and I chose this spot for an early dinner before attending a concert recently, based on convenience of location and that they were one of the options in the area that were listed on the inKind app. On this visit, instead of sticking to my usual order, I decided to try something different, an item off the seasonal menu. I ordered the apple lemonade and the jambalaya pasta. The apple lemonade was a bit more sour than I had anticipated but it wasn't bad. The jambalaya pasta had a nice kick of spice to it, the pasta was not over or under cooked and there was surprisingly a good amount of protein in this dish. Overall, service was fast and efficient. We had to wait a while for waters as they were backed up on washing the cups. My iced shakerato was really good. I liked that it wasn't too sweet but wasn't bitter at all, despite the dark color. I ended up liking my entree a lot. I have always been a huge fan of spaghetti squash and this one was really good. I was full after, but not weighed down, so you could tell that this place is healthy and uses good ingredients. I got jacked at True Foods! My $300 ring was stolen by their staff. I accidentally left it on the dining table after washing my hands, eating, then leaving. It's a big ring check out the photo. Also, their bathroom is really dirty. Whoever did not do their job prefer I leave this review. They claim to do an "investigation" and did not see the footage. I wouldn't take the time to post this but want you to know there is theft by the staff and the company does not take the claim seriously. Eat at your own discretion! Came here on a Sunday night with family, we didn't have a reservation, but it wasn't busy so we were able to get a table within a few minutes. We started off with the charred cauliflower appetizer, which was alright, the portion was really small and the cauliflower was definitely harder like not fully cooked and barely charred. They do have a big menu so it was hard to decide what to get when you're really hungry, but I got the teriyaki quinoa bowl, and added two pieces of the air fried chicken. When my dish came out, the portion was also pretty small and there was barely any chicken in it. Our food also took an extremely long time and when they brought out the chicken Parm that we got, everything was cold, the pasta, the chicken, and the cheese was not even melted on top. The taste was also very bland and was definitely the worst chicken Parm I've ever had at a restaurant, do not recommend. I do love though that they have fresh pressed juices. I got the bright eyes drink and it was nice and refreshing. They also have other mocktails and nonalcoholic drink options, which is nice. Considering that they weren't busy, we were really confused why our food took so long and that things were brought out cold. Popped into True Food Kitchen for the first time after my niece's baby shower since she and her hubby are vegan--and wow, what a great choice! We had a reservation, so we were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and got our drink orders in quickly. Before we knew it, the table was filled with the most delicious-looking dishes. Everything came out fast, fresh, and full of flavor. Burrata plus bread appetizer was perfect. Then things went sideways... My wife's risotto didn't have the requested chicken. I had ordered the steak & Frites - medium rare. They brought me a steak that was extremely rare. I asked them to put it back on the grill for 2 minutes. 10 minutes ... nothing. 20 minutes ... server told me it was coming. 30 minutes later ... they brought back just a piece of burned meat. See the picture. No fries. No salad. Took another five minutes to flag the waitress down. True Food is a great option if you're looking for clean and healthier meal choices. We came here for dinner and made a reservation which I recommend doing as it gets busy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels very welcoming. The hostess was friendly and our waiter was nice. We started with the Tru Crisp'd Buffalo tenders as they were on the happy hour deals. I was quite surprised by them as I don't typically like Buffalo sauce but these had a great flavor and didn't taste like Buffalo at all to me. But spicy but really good. We also ordered the Edamame dumplings but were later told that those were out (it wasn't even 5:30pm). After apps we ordered dinner- my friend got the Sza Cza salad with shrimp which she said was delicious. I originally ordered the pesto pasta but once again was told after ordering that they were out of it. I landed on the lasagna al pesto which was really good. I was disappointed that they didn't inform staff right away of things that are not available so that these issues didn't come up multiple times during a single visit. read more

It's very open and the tables are super close together (you can barely get in and out and I'm thin). It was also quite difficult to hold a conversation with my husband because of all the chatter at the table next to ours. Other than that, everything was great! read more
