I just want to say thank you so much to the two hostesses who helped me out tonight. I accidentally had two different meetings going and ended up having to seat my husband at the bar for a third tab (don't worry yelpers, we took care of everyone lol), and they helped facilitate close outs and got us into a lower table because of my friend's back. The servers were all friendly and accommodating and we ended up having great meetings and great bites. It's easy for staff to brush you off or act like your mistakes and problems aren't theirs, but when people show kindness and help, believe me, you really do remember. Where do I begin? I'm going to start off by saying this is my favorite restaurant in the valley! From the ambiance, to the food, to the excellent service, this place is a MUST VISIT! I've tried multiple entrees, appetizers, desserts and cocktails during each visit and they blow me away each time! I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, short rib pot stickers and the Bolognese. All the food is 10000/10. The fudge pie was exceptional and had my eyes rolling to the back of my head after each bite. The icing on the cake here is the service! The Henry has some of my favorite food ever. The salmon is the absolute perfect pairing of flavors, and sauces. The beets paired with the crunchy nuts and pesto make it a 10 out of 10 literally one of my favorite meals and all of Phoenix .Service is always phenomenal. The restaurant is always busy. I've also tried the mac & cheese here and it was delicious. The lemon cake for dessert is moist light and a refreshing way to end a perfect meal. The one downside is that they got rid of the fig mules, and those were my favorite especially on happy hour. Please bring those back. I loved them. read more

They have valet parking for free as well as a pretty big lot, although this place gets really packed! Ambience is everything here and the design inside is very chic and modern and really really cute! They have a big patio for outdoor seating as well as a bar that seats a lot of people, and a pretty brig restaurant with two huge rooms for private event events. When we were there there was a bridal shower that was being held. Every single thing on the menu is so good and I couldn't wait to go back and try something new. I ordered the pomegranate hibiscus spritz, and my boyfriend has a pineapple guava mimosa. Both were really good, but the spritz was better! we ordered the turkey dip which was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Its served hot with a juice sauce on the side and a mild horseradish it was delicious! We also ordered the Aji tuna chop salad, which had an amazing flavor to it, and it was really really good and fresh. The bathrooms are beautiful and look like a work of art and I'm very very clean. All of the staff is super friendly, helpful and very nice.. We checked out the bakery on the way out and got a couple of danishes and I can't wait to try the fruit one because it looks so good! Loved checking out this location of the Henry. I've been to the other location many times so couldn't wait to see how this one compares. I love the outside covered patio area. I've been to both locations of The Henry and I think this one is much better! First, the service was so great. We had an older person in our group who couldn't handle the loud noises of the main restaurant, and our server was great at finding a quieter, accesible table. The food was really great too. The menu felt smaller, service was slow, and our server rarely checked on us even though he knew we had a concert to get to. What should have been a quick dinner took almost three hours, causing us to miss part of the show. The food wasn't much better. The filet was just okay, the food was average, and the sides were below average. My Korean skirt steak was chewy and the rice tasted like microwaveable rice. For a higher end restaurant, I expected and remembered it being better. They have a huge restaurant and it would be good for large groups. I drafted a review back in August that was pretty bad. I basically said that I'd give this review 2 stars if the food and cocktails weren't so amazing. My friends were baffled and kept saying that the extremely slow service (like 45 min to get an appetizer and an hour to get our entree) was an unusual experience and they were also disappointed. I gave it another shot the other night and the service, food, and cocktails weren't phenomenal. Our server was named Chandler and he was awesome. I was indecisive about substituting the mashed potatoes for the spicy fried rice in the short ribs entree - Chandler gave me a resounding 'oh yeah that would be delicious ! Best decision ever. I've been to the original location for dinner several times and always enjoyed it. Really wanted to try the new location so we came for lunch. They've blocked off a large amount of spaces right in front for valet parking, but there are plenty of spaces in the same parking lot that you can park your car. I do have to say that I understand the need for valet parking in some locations; however, I think it's irritating when clearly they have enough spots right in front of the building for them to make it valet. It's not like having to run the car down the street or anything - - it's literally right in front of the door anyway. Couldn't you just park it there? This location has a really nice big patio. The bar service both sides - - one side the patio and the other side the dining room. The dining room was nice enough, with round booths and some tables. There is a room off to the side with more seating. Our server was really great-- friendly and helpful. We ordered the Huevos Rancheros Enchiladas and a Roasted Chicken and Avocado Salad. I was surprised at how small the huevos rancheros was. My son was done with it very quickly. my salad was fine - - not great, but not bad. The bacon was a little too sweet for me and and the lettuce felt heavy. My son ordered a Bloody Mary, which I tasted and did not like at all. In all fairness I'm not a huge fan of bloody marys in the first place. I'm not sure I would come back here at lunchtime. For me, there are better places. read more

Visited "The Henry" on a Friday after a show at the Phoenix Theater Company. We ordered the truffle fries, house salad and fried rice. The truffle fries came out first and they were excellent. The fried rice side was small for $9 and was not that good. The house salad was also above average. We missed out on the short rib app or entree because they were sold out. Review #2 of this location. Although my 1st of 2 tacos fell apart, that didn't discourage me from giving this 5 stars. The esthetics is always classy but not over bearing. You are waited on by multiple servers who all give impeccable service. From the hostess at the front to our main server. Perfect timing of apps. Everything is delicious and perfect. Am I wrong in saying there use to be 2 crab cakes instead of 1? Regardless, it was tasty despite more sweet corn salad than crab cake. The remoulade that goes with it is also so good. Their brussel sprouts are my favorite out of any establishment I have been to. Seabass tacos come with rice but I didn't know that so ordered a side of mac and cheese. Bass is nicely spiced. Mac & cheese, perfect smoothness. And butter cake, don't skip that! Really busy during lunch but the Henry team seems to be pros at it in the short time of this location being here. I'm a fairly frequent visitor of the location further east on Camelback, but have been beyond excited when they opened this location in Uptown. The standard set by The Henry is evident at this newer spot. It's a very warm, welcoming, beautiful indoor and outdoor dining with delicious offerings, quality food, and super friendly staff. Came in during lunchtime on a Saturday and was sat right away, which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was in training and was a little awkward - hopefully they'll work out the kinks :) There is a super cute coffee shop attached so I popped over there to see their offerings because they were not fully listed on the restaurant menu. We decided to try their seasonal pumpkin spice latte (half sweet), which was amazing with the chai whipped cream (I didn't inquire about a dairy free option). As other reviewers have stated, the brunch menu is a little limited. We decided to try the burger and subbed out the french fries for the asparagus and snap peas for an additional $3 charge. We also tried the Way of Tea cocktail which was a little on the tart side but still balanced and earthy - I really did enjoy the Matcha and lavender combo. I personally look for healthier options when dining out. For me, gluten-free, dairy free, seed oil free, etc. are important and the Henry definitely doesn't really satisfy these priorities. I think the pricing is a little steep for the quality and portion you receive, though not totally unreasonable, especially for Central Phoenix area. The hostesses were very friendly and the dirty martini that I had while I waited at the bar was perfectly crafted. The first available table was on the heated patio and it was such a nice vibe. We are here on Sunday for brunch with my friend's grandchildren. I had the turkey French dip Sunday and my friend had the short rib potstickers. We were so pleased we came back two days later for a light lunch. I had the Truffle Brie Toast with honey, toasted pine nuts and slivers of prosciutto de parma. OMG! I ate half of it before I decided to take a photo. The service was prompt, server was pleasant with being bothersome and the manager was gracious and seemed sincerely interested in our sharing our dining experience with him. We recently moved to the neighborhood but have been to this location many times during our renovation. We are always greeted with a genuine smile and "welcome back, it's great to see you". We've had several great servers, but Vinny and Danielle always hit it out of the park. This afternoon they accommodated our party of 5 plus a dog and did absolutely everything to ensure we had a great experience. Vinny is a pleasure and he is one of the reasons we keep coming back. The inside but has a nice covered patio with heaters, and a nice fireplace outside for all those cold days in Phoenix... the drinks were amazing but the seasonal Polar Expresso Martini was amazing. Came here with a group of friends and it was alright. The ambience of the restaurant is very fancy and nice inside. They also have a huge outdoor porch to eat on. Very nice place inside. The food was mediocre. Nothing special and mild in flavor. Also very expensive for the quality. Service was the same. Took a long time to get our checks and our wait time wasn't communicated. Though the employees work well as a team to bring out the food. I did have a problem with my food and they resolved it right away.
