On August 30 I was enjoying the afternoon with my two sisters and we were shopping for dresses at the Biltmore Park fashion Square mall and we got hungry so we ended up stopping at true food kitchen because we wanted to eat clean and organic. Our experience really started off really horrible with not being seated because there was not one person in front to see us. The second thing the server felt inconvenienced to take our order and looking at us as if we are familiar with the menu and was inconvenience to even answer any of the questions that we had about the menu. We ordered an appetizer I believe it was hummus, which tasted very bland and spicy and only given 5 semi medium size chips and had to ask for more and got 4 more...Then we ordered each meals I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was dry as wood and hardly any sauce. Must have been old chicken so I tried making it through the first half and left most uneaten. My sister ordered the spinach and mushroom pizza because she is vegan or vegetarian. The pizza was very bland. Extra crispy and tasteless and she hardly ate and not typical for her. My other sister ordered all American burger with fries both her fries and my fries looked and tasted like they were two days old. My sister took a fry and gave it to me and said feel how hard it is and I literally hit it on my plate and made a rock sound. So paying $102.99 plus tip was not worth it at this place because they pride themselves to be health, fresh, clean organic kitchen and none of it is true. I didn't take pictures but they do have cameras and can see out facial and physical expressions if they wanted to see. Very disappointed will never go back. This was my second time there at that same location and I thought I'd try it again this time horrible horrible. The only good thing about the restaurant was the dragon fruit lemonade, which was too expensive. It was $5.50 each for one glass. I'm all about experiencing clean food and not having a problem with paying for it as long as it is fresh and healthy. I thought about complaining when I was there but didn't think it would have mattered because the whole experience was bad so where would I start. Never going back for sure.

Service was very friendly, seemed knowledgeable about the menu items. The only thing that I didn't like is that each item I asks about, she said it was really good, which usually something is not. She did mention that she prefers another salad over what I selected, and I like when servers tell me their favorite items. It definitely seems like a place for a business lunch, I went by myself and actually quite a few people were there by themselves in case you're shy about dining in by yourself. It was fairly busy for a Monday morning lunch. I originally was going to get their lunch special to go bc I have stuff to do, but they said it wasn't available to go. Since I did actually have time to sit for a bit I decided to dine in. (It says dine in only on the bottom of the menu but my brain conveniently skipped over that part) When they seat you they stick a white card on the table that the server picks up after they've come to the table. I feel like it's a subtle thing that clues in the servers about which tables they've been to, especially on a busy night. I had an iced matcha with almond milk. It was sweet, but not too sweet. Matcha grade seemed on par with what I'd expect in a matcha beverage. Lunch special was $20 for a drink, main and side. Some stuff was a surcharge. I had the burger and Chinese chicken salad. Drink was a pink dragon fruit lemonade which I knew my mini mini would love, so I saved it for her. I thought it was a little tart for me, she thought it was amazing. The burger- I requested to add pickles bc I love them. It was cooked nicely, flavor was decent. I'm a huge fan of white cheddar. The sauce, per the server, was ketchup and Mayo, and they didn't drown the burger in it, so that was good. I think they make their pickles in house and tbh, I know I would have liked the burger less without pickles. I think it needed a tiny bit of acidity for balance. It was a $5 surcharge. Overall I enjoyed it, 8.5/10 The Chinese chicken salad was a hearty salad, and a lot of beautiful colors and textures. Watermelon radish is so pretty in this. The carrot ginger dressing wasn't over the top with ginger. I think the natural sweetness of the carrot really tones it down. The toasted quinoa, I could take it or leave it, but it didn't taste bad, I'm just not a huge quinoa fan. 8/10, and a $2 surcharge. So, if you want to get it as close to $20 before tax and tip, don't get anything that they have a surcharge for, but I liked what I got, it came to under $40 before tip. I wanted to try the kale aid but I'll get that next time. (A $5 surcharge if you get the lunch option) Another plus- I think the straws are biodegradable but they are not the paper straws that dissolves 2 sips in. Yay! The chocolate chip cookie- to me it tasted like they put banana in it. If you're hoping for a chewy chocolate chip cookie, this is not it. It's thick and fairly soft. It reminded me of when people make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies- similar texture. The tcho chocolate in it was good, but I didn't like the actual cookie dough that much. Mini mini thought it was so good, but she also thought it tasted like banana was in it. I think it was a 6/10, mini mini would give it an 8/10. So, about a 7/10. Restroom was relatively clean, had a baby changing table in the stall if needed. The floor seemed a bit sticky though. Would I come back? Yes when I'm in the area, I don't live close by.

Nice ambience and decent menu but as to the experience a total disappointment and will never come back. I don't have too many poor reviews. Margherita pizza could have come out of a frozen section and was warm if not cool like it had been sitting for 10' or so in the back. Steaks was bland and tough and also like it had been sitting post cook 10' We must have waited 20' for our tiramisu. Waiter had to be flagged down for order, and where our meal, drinks and dessert was coming . Can't wonder why he'd want to face us if it takes 2 and half hours for a two course meal. We gave up on desert Avoid this place!

I forgot how much I love this place. I was starving and hoping for some plant based grub. I managed to order direct from TrueFood for delivery, of course it came from a 3rd party driver BUT I didn't have to sign up there to order. SCORE! Plant Based burger - delicious, even luke warm because I am further and it's chilly today. Carrot cake - also delicious, saved half, helped me realize how hooked on the sug I am these days. Very excited for some mashed potatoes (that was my side for my burger) later and their Korean Noods. Oh man, it's been too long. They packaged it all so well that even after arrival it looks beautiful (carrot cake picture before devouring occurred)

True Food is a very spacious place. They've got kitchen tables so you can sometimes see the workers actively preparing your food. I tried out their jambalaya, iced lavender matcha latte, and cheesy mashed potatoes. I didn't like the shrimp in the jambalaya but everything else in it was relatively good. The lavendar matcha latte contained less liquid that I would like. The cheesy mashed potatoes was good. The service was satisfactory. All this cost $40 but really it was around $27 because I bought discounted InKind gift cards from Costco.

Had lunch at True Food Kitchen Biltmore and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the Ancient Grains Bowl with chicken and it was spot on. The balance of flavors felt clean and intentional without being boring. The chicken was tender with a nice char, the veggies were fresh, and everything worked together instead of competing on the plate. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and thoughtful prep. The space is bright, comfortable, and easy to have a conversation in, whether you're meeting friends or sitting down for a quick business lunch. Service was friendly, food came out fast, and the overall vibe made it easy to slow down and actually enjoy the meal. If you're in the Biltmore area and want something that tastes great but still leaves you feeling good after, this is a solid choice. I'll definitely be back.

Our server Sam was so nice and fun! I came with my family on a Sunday morning around 11am, we were seated right away since they weren't too busy. We ordered the hummus which was sooo delicious, I think I hogged it from the rest of my family lol. Price-wise, the menu wasn't TOO crazy. What I really love about this place is that it really helps for someone who is trying to be more health conscious / trying to track protein & calories (all visible on the menu). As someone who's been trying to be more mindful of diet and health, this place was a relief. One critique would be that the first dish in these series of photos (I can't remember the name, sorry!) was too salty. Other than that, the food was delish and the vibe was chill and clean!

A few friends and I chose this spot for an early dinner before attending a concert recently, based on convenience of location and that they were one of the options in the area that were listed on the inKind app. On this visit, instead of sticking to my usual order, I decided to try something different, an item off the seasonal menu. I ordered the apple lemonade and the jambalaya pasta. The apple lemonade was a bit more sour than I had anticipated but it wasn't bad. The jambalaya pasta had a nice kick of spice to it, the pasta was not over or under cooked and there was surprisingly a good amount of protein in this dish. Overall, service was fast and efficient. Like other locations, this one is similarly decorated in furnishing and color scheme. Since we were headed to a concert afterwards, we had decided to make reservations for an earlier time, but they were already quite busy when we arrived, so I highly recommend making reservations if you're thinking about dining here.
