    Pistachio Matcha
    Neisha H.

Stopped by to study for an evening and honestly, there is A LOT of room for improvement here. The place was kind of dirty, and the vibe wasn't really welcoming. I ordered a matcha which was pretty fine, but lacked in the pistachio flavor I ordered it with until I got to the very end of the drink, so it for sure was not stirred. I'm not usually this kind of person but for $10 with tip a matcha should be stirred. Also, the free communal water (love the idea) had black specs floating in it. I grabbed three cups and they all had stuff in them, so I just notified the person behind the counter and sat down. This place has a great location and prime hours for night time nerds like me but the atmosphere and actual product left a lot to be desired. I most likely won't be going back.

This shop is real cutesy! They have lots of different desserts, coffees, pastries, and treats. The chocolate mug of tiramisu was really good. The cheesecake was delicious too. I wanted to try some coffees but decided not to since it's so late in the day. It gives off a real chill cafe vibe. The service was decent. The guy behind the counter answered the questions we had. Nothing about the service really stood out.

Loved this place! Their coffees are so delicious and we got to try their viral fruit pastries! Amazing. A taste of Yemen and their incredible bakery items.

This is a real tasty espressos. Full flavor. I recommend adding honey to it to give a little bit of natural sweetener.

Fantastic authentic Yemen cafe. Gorgeous decor and plenty of seating. Coffee flavors are so deep and rich creating blends not found at many spots. Pastries and fresh made snacks in the case all looked so tasty. Super friendly service too! They take care of 1 hour of parking too.

Such a great experience at Bayt Al Mocha! I used to come to Haraz Coffee House, which was Bayt's predecessor in this same location, a lot, and I was happy and relieved to see that a lot of the menu is the same -- with some new surprises added as well! The calm ambience made it a perfect place to get some work done while indulging in delicious food and drinks. I tried a steak-filled empanada, which was a perfect breakfast treat, and I enjoyed both the Adani Chai (my absolute favorite!) and raspberry lemonade. Bayt Al Mocha is a Yemeni-inspired coffee shop, and this chai is the closest I've found to the chai I have enjoyed on my travels. The staff was very welcoming throughout my visit. There is lots of seating, so it works whether you want to meet and chat with people or just read and work by yourself. I liked that there was outdoor seating too. The pastry selection was more than I've seen at most other coffee shops, almost rivaling a bakery or dessert shop. I definitely want to come back and try the Dubai chocolate treats and the pistachio latte next time!

Awesome coffee and pastry shop. They also have some small lunch portions. I met the owner and he is extremely nice and very generous. The food and pastry's that we had were all very very fresh and delicious. I did not try everything but we were big fans of the samosas and the chicken and cheese croissant. Great environment as well.

Went on a Saturday morning. Decent crowd. Ordered the Turkish Coffee, Chocolate Dubai Croissant, Chocolate Dubai Strawberries, Blueberry Scone, & a pistachio latte. Everything tasted great. Staff was friendly. The Dubai chocolate croissant and Dubai chocolate strawberries were very pricey at 12.99 for each one.

Amazing coffees with gorgeous and complex flavor profiles. I came back every day of my trip because I liked it so much! Cinnamon, cardamom, honey, pistachio - so many amazing flavors. Coffee is high quality and never tasted burnt or bitter.

This place is super cute and unique. Perfect location right on Bardstown Road. They have tons of coffees, teas, smoothies, and more! Their drinks are very colorful and pretty. Lots of food options too--pastries, cookies, cakes, lunch items, desserts, etc. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They are currently selling Dubai chocolate strawberry cups. I had never had one before so I didn't know what to expect, but I absolutely loved it!! Highly recommend trying that.

I've loved this coffee house for a few years & confirm it's still AMAZING with new owners. Being previously named Haraz, it's now Bayt Al Mocha yet the menu seems identical... which is good! Their chai teas are the #1 best in town, because the chai herb blend is infused into the drink. This results in a preferred taste vs other places that use chai syrup. The spice, the bite, the smoothness, and the hot temp... all combines for a FABULOUS chai drink. Their desserts are also splendid, highlighted by the decadent Dubai Chocolate Cake and the Strawberry Chocolate Cups. But all of their pastries have been great so far, including super-swirly croissants. Nestled in an ideal walking area of the Highlands, I highly recommend visiting here. Top-notch!

I wished I lived here so I could be a regular at this place. The amount of pastries that looked so decadent and delicious in their case was incredible. My husband and I ordered a Dubai chocolate croissant and it was so heavenly. The place is also so welcoming and cozy - I would love to just read a book in there.

Started to come here to get work done and the late hours definitely help me get that done! A clean and cultured coffee shop that makes it easy to focus. The drinks are wonderful and the coffee tastes great. The pastries look like they came from Costco so I don't have interest in those.

I came for the…read morecoffee, but I stayed for the chicken's feet that would grant me protection and luck for only $5, the multiple sage bundles to cleanse my chakras, and the incense sticks that might remove a hex or give me divine powers once burned. Witches Brew is a place to find all sorts of magical things, but it is also just a divine (in every sense of the word) place to sit and have a hot beverage and a pastry. It's worth a visit to this coffee shop just to see the decor. It's purple everywhere, with mood lighting, mirrors, gothic tchotchkes, creepy dolls, skulls and other fun and slightly ominous curio. There are cool things in every corner, and even though I had intended on getting my coffee to go, I decided to sit for a while because coffee sometimes just tastes better when you're surrounded by cobwebs and broomsticks. I got an Americano, which is usually my go-to if I don't know how strong the house drip will be. The Americano was nice and smooth. I didn't have to wait long at all for my coffee. I visited on a weekday during the morning, and there were two people ahead of me, but the line went fast and my coffee came out quickly.

The walls and every corner are filled with witch-related artwork, decorations, and even merchandise. It's fun to look around because there's something interesting everywhere you turn. The coffee itself was pretty standard, nothing particularly standout, but the atmosphere is really what makes this place special. If you enjoy spooky or Halloween-style vibes, you'll probably love it here. They also offer free Wi-Fi, so it could be a good spot for studying or getting some work done. Personally, I found the ambiance a bit too spooky for focusing, especially at night. I am just not a big fan of that kind of setting (haha). Overall, it was a good experience and definitely memorable in its own way. I can see why people would really enjoy it, so I'm giving it 5 stars! And server was very nice.
