The Germantown Phalcha is such a treat, so I was very excited to check out the new spot in St. Matthews. And it lives up to the high bar that Phalcha has set. It was easy to grab a street parking spot despite being in a busy part of St. Matthews. And the menu is dreamy. Is "dreamy" a suitable way to describe a menu? Oh well I'm going with it. Phalcha features the latte flight it's become known for, but I opted instead for a dirty ube latte that was rich and delicious, I also got the avocado toast that definitely filled me up. The interior had several tables for groups of varying size. I loved the window seats in particular. An upstairs area is also available. Phalcha was hopping when I was there, and I can see why. I decided to treat myself for the day. I have been to Phalcha in Germantown long time ago. I had chance to stop by in St. Matthews. I already know about their neat coffee flights other form of drink flight. The parking can be tricky because of that area. For me, I got lucky to park on street as nearby this location. I entered and it waa beautiful. I decided that I want to try the summer flight. It is quite long waiting for this drink flight. I believe it took about 20 minutes. Also I had some trouble to hear when they call out. But I got my flights. They are look so beautiful. Those drinks were delicious. My favorite was cookie and cream and the matcha colada. The other two weren't that bad. Next time, I will just order one drink. But if you want fun neat experience. Order flight. read more

This location is awesome! There's street parking and some free lots nearby. The space is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. There are outlets as well, and lots of seating. The upstairs loft space is beautifully decorated too with unique seating and a restroom as well. The iced coffee flight was so fun to try, all had strong and unique flavors (although a little on the sweet side). Service was very good and quick as well. Would definitely come again! read more

It was decent but probably not the most flavorful. I should've asked for it to be sweetened a bit. It wasn't super busy. Found parallel parking in front. A few people sitting in here just chilling. My first visit to the newly opened Phalcha. It has a different vibe -- brighter, softer, and more feminine. The space is slightly bigger indoors as compared to its other location; however, there is not a patio. The shining star of today was the service. We asked for two gift cards, which were nicely bagged. The young lady at the counter was so friendly and we enjoyed speaking with her. My iced lavender latte was exactly as expected and my husband had an Americano. Nothing fancy for us today. Phalcha is known for its coffee flights. The space here was chaotic. This is not what I want from a coffee shop. There are people everywhere, standing on top of each other or sitting so close to another table. I'm not sure I could feel confident ordering a flight or food item based on the seating (or lack of it). Even sitting down to catch up with a friend would be a crap shoot. Parking is on the street. Phalcha Coffee is a super cute and aesthetic Nepali-owned coffee shop in Louisville with a good variety of drinks, plants, and cultural decor. There's plenty of seating on both floors, and the service was fast and friendly. Parking is limited, but free street parking is nearby. We liked the dirty ube latte and mango matcha. The ube latte was creamy and not too sweet, while the mango matcha was a bit sweeter with a good balance of both flavors. I've been driving by this location as it's been under construction for months and finally had the opportunity to check it out. Um. Just yes. Decor - check. Menu options - check. Friendly and knowledgeable staff - check. Plenty of comfy seating (including a bright and airy upstairs situation) - check. All is well here. The winter menu is super interesting and includes a flight of holiday drinks (s'mores latte, sesame latte, peppermint mocha), Grinch latte, and black forest cocoa. Intrigued by the sesame latte I inquired about its composition, which is white chocolate syrup, black sesame paste, and milk - no coffee involved, however the person describing the process did note that customers often do add a shot of espresso. I opted for an almond milk latte with a scoop of black sesame paste mixed in, and this was glorious - excellent flavor and incredible latte art. My beverage compatriot ordered the black forest cocoa (which came with an adorable teddy bear marshmallow) and very much enjoyed. Pricing is reasonable for what you're getting - custom, boutique coffee in a custom, boutique location. I do wish they didn't charge extra for plant based milks; many chains are moving away from this and I encourage local shops to follow their lead on this. I will absolutely return, as it seems a shame to leave anything on the menu untried. read more

Excellent! I was so excited to see a Phalcha open up near my house! The specialty matchas here are EXCELLENT (strawberry or ube you can't go wrong). Sandwich was pretty filling and tasted great. My neighborhood had an Internet outage so I drove over to "work from home" and I found the atmosphere to be great to work in. I sat upstairs which is nicely tucked away, and features a shoeless rest area with pillows for premium relaxation. I didn't see many wall plugs so come with a full battery! I went and tried phalcha again because I wanted to try the pistachio waffle on a sick and the grilled cheese. I really liked the pistachio waffle on a stick but it was slightly too nutty for my taste and I preferred the strawberry one more. The grilled cheese was good and it came with a sweet and kind of spicy dipping sauce. The sauce was really good and it had little chilly flakes in it which I really liked. As far as grilled cheeses go it was good, nothing super special but I'd get it again. read more

I met up with a friend at the newest location of this coffee house. It is really adorable and welcoming as you come in. There is plenty of seating especially at the windows you can people watch in Saint Matthews. The menu is extensive and they have incredible flights of coffee for the holidays. I actually got something off the seasonal menu which was a hot chocolate. My order was timely and so beautifully displayed. We went upstairs to actually have our coffee which was a great way to enjoy the space and enjoy our beverages. Everything about this place is 10/10. I have been to their other location but was in the area today and this cafe is somehow just as fun and beautiful as the other locale! The baristas were so attentive and were welcoming to my young children ordering themselves (even though that takes a little more time than an average customer). The interior is beautifully decorated and inviting. We loved the floor nook upstairs and sat and colored with our food and drinks. Bonus points for having little bracelets made by a child for sale to support her ballet classes. Will definitely be returning! read more

My absolute favorite coffee shop and workspace in town. Sometimes you have to compromise on finding a good place to work AND get food/coffee but Phalcha is perfect for both. Baristas give great recommendations, are super attentive to the shop, and are so warm and welcoming. Sometimes it can get a little loud or overwhelming depending on the time and day you go but I bring noise reducing headphones for when I'm doing my own work. I love the vibe here and how cozy and homey it feels which is probably why I tend to return at least once a week. read more

Its really nice in here! So much more place to sit and do some work/ school work. I cant get enough of their coffee flights and the very cozy vibes. Most of the pictures are from their second floor. The service is top notch and are quick to make your order. Bathroom is clean and stocked up. Parking is not hard to find but depends when you come. The plaza parking is not my first choice. The prices are not expensive but affordable enough to visit often. We need another location for those who dont live downtown or in st Matthews. The drinks have flavor without being overly sweet, meaning they use quality ingredients and not premade syrups. Sadly, there's no drive thru and parking is a nightmare sometimes so it's not easy or quick. The atmosphere seems good. It's packed on the weekends so I never stay. Gets very loud. read more

Despite ordering two large lattes and paying accordingly, I was handed beverages in smaller cups. When I brought this discrepancy to the barista's attention, they failed to acknowledge the error or offer a resolution. Instead, they claimed that only one size was available--as I'm staring at the two sizes of cups they offer to go, not to mention, that I've purchased from their other location and my cup has never been this small; I like Phalcha, but the employees just seem like unprofessional teenagers.
