The lady who works here on Saturdays is not very friendly. I came into the shop for an oil change and they didn't have the right filter. Mmmkay no problem but when I asked the cashier lady to order the filter so I could come back another day, she told me she doesn't work there and I have to call the owner on Monday. Huhhh? Had a smog check and an oil change, two different cars and both were done in less than 30 minutes which is pretty great, especially seeing as we didn't have an appointment we just walked in and were bringing two cars. Had an oil change done here and the kid that did it stripped my drain plug as well as the pan to the point that I could turn it with my hand. They didn't even have the courtesy to tell me. Fast Freddy's is the best place to go for oil changes! I have been going to them for years! They go above and beyond for their customers! While they were doing an oil change last week, they found out that my mechanic who had done an oil change on my car hadn't in fact done one at all! The oil filter and everything else was a mess! These guys are great!! They've saved my bacon twice now and they are the only auto repair place I trust to be honest. I just had my truck smogged and the oil changed today. When I went to start up my truck it wouldn't turn over. The manager said it might be the battery and brought me some tools to take it out so I could go across the street for a new one. It turned out that my battery connections were super corroded as I hadn't cleaned them in years. He brought me a scrub brush and a new terminal and put it all back together for me when he realized I have no mechanical aptitude whatsoever. Didn't charge me for terminal or labor. This was on a Friday afternoon the day before July 4th and they were very busy! The other time they helped me out a ton was a number of years ago when I couldn't figure out a warning light on my truck. Ended up being a bad wire. They swapped it out and didn't charge me much at all. Didn't try to take advantage of my lack of automotive knowledge. Can't recommend these guys enough!! They pulled my car into the bay in about 5 minutes later Zach came out and told me that he did not think I needed an oil change at that time. He said the oil looks good and has barely turned color. I've been going to fast Freddy's for nearly a decade. Sadly, the previous owner passed away and the new ownership is horrible. I asked why they wanted to put the type of oil they chose in my car and the guy looked at me confused like he had no idea about cars. Suddenly 2 other employees came out and still not a single one could explain why they chose that oil type which happened to be the most expensive. They also didn't even ask me what oil I preferred in my car based on weather, engine, and driving. I took my keys back and went elsewhere. The staff here are not cooperating with me I don't know what there problem is. I brought my truck to get smog after I clear a check engine light. I drive it for 130+ miles to clear all codes and still they don't want to do it , the e- vac. Wasn't clear so I talked to my mechanic about it and he sed the the should be able to do it because is not required for the smog test. Not ever using these guys again. Last oil change they overfilled my engine oil and left the filter loose.

Whenever possible, I like to support the smaller business. However, in this case it has turned out to bite me in the butt. Took my car to fast Freddys for a brake repair and it turned into a complete disaster. Originally they replaced the pads only Then not long later had to return as rotors were worn and warped. I have to wonder if they check the rotors in the first place. Regardless, I go back a second time As my vehicle is vibrating every time I touch the brakes. Freddy was good about it and did not charge me for new pads that were necessary after me buying the rotors. I go back a third time as the brakes are squealing something fierce. I am now told I should go somewhere else as they do not know how to resolve the issue. So, long story short, i am down about $300+ and I will be needing to go to a new shop for brakes. I suggest keeping this story in mind when considering Freddys for any kind of auto repair needs! read more

There is a wait if you arrive late Saturday but that is a testament to the quality service. As far as Zoe's comment about VW Bug service: we have found that issue at numerous service stations. My daughter had a convertible Beetle and a hardtop which we often found difficult to get serviced. Terrible been coming for couple years since moving up here in 2015. Always had great service until today i called Friday spoke about making appointment the owner said no appointment its first come first serve. I am standing at the door it's about 8:58am there unlocking doors haven't turn on the open sign yet when this lady by pass me and goes in? I open the door tell the guy behind the counter your sign is not on are you open? He responds oh the sign doesn't work and yes we are open. This USED to be a great place. The owner has been sick and the employees now don't seem very knowledgable or helpful. They seem to have problems with the smog test equipment and test are not very accurate or incomplete. They refused to do a retest on my vehicle after I did the repairs they suggested. I had to take it to another shop and it passed with no problem. The smog guy is rude and tells people the machine is broke when he is doesn't feel like working for the day. Told me he didn't have time to do it, eventhough they were open for two more hours. Brought it back the next morning and he said he would not do it. Others have said that the equipment mysteriously doesn't seem to work on Friday afternoons. I heard several people complain that the repairs they had done were not fixed while I was sitting in the lobby.Do not under any circumstances use this place until the owner returns. read more

Freddy's is pretty fast. I came in for an oil change and waited for maybe half hour. It's a very busy place and it gets crowded. Waiting room has about 4 chairs. If your car needs immediate attention Freddy's is alright. However, my husband says don't ever go here again. So there ya go! read more

Fast Freddys is definitely NOT fast. Arrived early with no cars or customers ahead of me. Just needed a quick oil change. The kid at the register was not very friendly. The first clue that it was not going to be fast, was when they took 20 minutes just to move my car car into the shop, while two service guys stood around talking. At the 45 minute mark, I went in and asked what was going on. They then got to work and finished up. Got out of there in one full hour. When the service guy rang up the bill he did give me a $5 discount for taking so long. Thus, they get a two star, rather than the minimum one star. Would rather have been out of there in 20 minutes, which is a reasonable time for an oil change. Also, no extra service such as vacuuming or window cleaning like other service places. I won't recommend Fast Freddys, as they're not fast or friendly, in my opinion. read more
