Overall: great personable service and technical work. Through their website, I sent an email request for an estimate on a triple transmission fluid flush. Mike called me the next day with an estimate. I had concerns that their procedure deviates from the Technical Service Bulletin that I pulled for the car's specific issue, but he thoroughly addressed these concerns professionally. I decided to go with ASU and called the next week to book and appointment for the following day. They took care of it and Mike answered post-procedure questions. He showed me where the location in-line filter, which was in a hard to access space, and a sample of the drained fluid. Now my minivan is driving great and the transmission shifting smoothly. In my opinion and I've been to lots of mechanic shops in my life in Northern California and the Reno sparks area of Nevada. Called and informed them that my radiator began leaking on my 1992 Silverado and scheduled my appointment for Monday May 4th. The estimate showed a charge of $59 to inspect and determine cause of the leak. They didn't charge me for the inspection because when they lifted the hood the found the problem. My radiator was replaced and I received my vehicle in the early afternoon of May 5th 2026. I've been taking my vehicles to this establishment since we moved here in 2022. its Nice to know that there are people you can trust to do the right thing at a reasonable cost. Came in for a 4-wheel alignment on my 2009 Toyota Corolla and left satisfied. They do efficient, quality work. Was quoted $125.99 through email on their site, and paid $125.99. Was quoted 45 minutes for the alignment, and it took 45 minutes for the alignment. I waited for it as I had some free time, and noticed that one of their employees test drove after it was finished which was a nice touch. Did want to mention that the employee left my window down, seat moved far forward, and keys in the ignition which does seem a little dangerous unless they knew that I was waiting there for it. After nearly three years of paying high service bills, driving 30-40 minutes one-way sometimes requiring multiple trips, and feeling yanked around by my dealership on a 2019 Kia, I turned to friends for car service suggestions. Monique & Steve, who live locally, recommended Automotive Services Unlimited (ASU), which is not more than a 5-minute drive from my home. The two closest Kia dealerships are booked out more than one month in advance (and are each located 30+ minutes away). I am on vacation this week and to have a chance to get my car in this week for regular maintenance, I needed to schedule the appointment with the dealership in late March / early April timeframe. The same day Steve and Monique suggested ASU, I happened to be at another business in a neighboring complex and stopped by the shop. I was greeted by Hank's smiling face and he was able to schedule me for the same appointment time I had for the dealership. ASU has been a valued and reliable full-service automotive shop for Monique and Steve's family for several years; in fact, Steve recently took their grown daughter's car there for service while she was in town during a family visit. Trusting my friends' recommendation, I felt comfortable canceling the appointment with the dealership, saving myself more than an hour roundtrip in driving time. Two days later I was at the appointment. Hank quoted me a service price for much less than the dealership quote (for the same work). He also explained the difference between synthetic oil and real oil, and what that means concerning my specific vehicle (hybrid), which helped me make a more educated decision on service. Hank set me up with coffee and within 45 minutes, the work was done with no problems and the car was ready to go. I was back home within an hour. I was so pleased with the entire experience. Hank and Mike were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and the price was fair and reasonable. The first few times we brought our cars in I had no complaints until 5 weeks ago when we brought in our BMW. The door would not open and there was something wrong with the actuator. anyways to make a long story short they had our car 5 weeks Not only was it not fixed but there was a part on the door that was broken. Anyone who's ever had a BMW knows how expensive that's going to be and I think that they should pay it. We also had to pay $400 for the part that was put into the car that still did not make the car work so we had our car not with us for 5 weeks paid $400 out of pocket for something that didn't even fix it. Mike said he could fix it, I understand he had some personal issues going on but when you run a business it has to be run like a business.
