I think my expectations were too high. After waiting in line between an entire 10 year old girls soccer team we arrived at the counter and were fairly underwhelmed compared to what we normally find at Cabots in Newton or Pizzi Farm in Waltham. The soft serve choices are minimal and you have to rely on the rotating flavor of the day. The hard pack frozen yogurt and ice cream was from Richardson's so you know it's good stuff. This place is amazing! Anywhere that has a line at 9pm is a good sign. I had been told that Truly's was the best in Wellesley and, after visiting, I have no reason to disagree. They have the lightest, creamiest, and smoothest yogurt and ice cream I have ever tasted! The flavors are unique and delicious and the prices were incredibly reasonable. My go-to spot for soft ice cream. I like DQ but this is more personal and local and unique. High points: 1) Flavor of the day keeps me checking and makes the experience interesting. 2) Portions. Love 'em. 3) The 'hang-out' area in front is fun when you see kids and dogs and people all sitting around talking and meeting. Ice cream social utopia. 4) They usually don't charge me for samples. Usually. 5) Flavor burst mixes it up now and again when I'm feeling stale. 6) Most everyone working really does need the tips for college. I think. Although ice-cream shop owner/worker is one of my dream jobs... Where to improve: 1) I could do without styrofoam cups. 2) Punch cards are one punch whether I get one ice cream or 6. Reward my frequent ice-cream status please. 3) The smell is more local dairy than some people like but to me that means it's all fresh made right there. Really good icecream and yogurt- Black raspberry with chips is my favorite! One star down is for the service- I allowed the guys after me in line to go first while I decided between flavors.. and they looked at me like I was done. Little kindness didn't go far with these kids. And the teller knew 2 kids buying icecream so she gave them giant portions and didn't charge them for it. Truly Yogurt is truly amazing! I love this place but it's certainly not kind on the waistline. Truly yogurt is mainly a soft serve ice cream shop that has lots of great flavors. With gas prices at their highest and the economy in the tank. My wife will drive from Southborough to Wellesley just to get her fix. One look and the words "Black Raspberry" come out if her mouth and she is off. Portions are very generous and the prices are very reasonable considering where it is located. Truly Yogurt is my favorite place to go, their portions are excellent, their prices are great, and their staff is typically made up of hardworking high school students from Wellesley High. The only problem I have with them is that their soft serve machines are constantly broken or not working because the sensor is down. For an ice cream shop that is known for their soft serve, this does not look good. read more

The soft serve flavors here are the best. Cookie D light is a home recipe you cant get anywhere else and its amazing. They have flavor bursts you can infuse into the soft serve to make your own flavors.The portion sizes are very big so I would suggest buying a small because it is a true medium. read more

The soft serve is quite good. Sometimes they do lack flavor and they have no real hot fudge which sucks. I was shocked to find it was frozen yogurt its that good. The prices are great. I live in Brighton, so the fact that I'll drive to Wellesley to get fro yo at this place should say something. Their selection of flavors is GREAT....and they have a "Flavor of the Day". Recently tried the Cheesecake fro yo which I was scared to do as I'm not really a huge cheesecake fan, but ended up loving it! I adore Truly Yogurt! As a former employee, I may be a little biased but I think they have the best ice cream in the area. They have many different kinds of flavors and types of ice cream/frozen yogurt/sorbet. I particularly love the soft serve and more importantly the flavor of the day. Hands down, THE BEST FROZEN YOGURT anywhere. I'm usually not a big soft-serve fan but Truly's soft-serve is AMAZING. They have the normal vanilla and chocolate soft-serve but then they also have delicious flavors like cookies and cream, coffee, pumpkin, oatmeal cookie, mint, etc. I crave Truly's even on the coldest days, and regardless of the season, they always have a line (so I'm clearly not the only one crazy enough to get froyo in the winter). Best FroYo around! My friends and I always used to go after school and I always go when I get home from college. All of the flavors are great and they have a great selection that changes all the time! A warning about portions....the owner (as well as any other adult that works there) gives the SMALLEST ones around. My friend and I went in there one time and both got kiddie twists in a cup...hers was towering over the edge and looked like a large, while mine barely reached the brim. Oh Truly, how I love thee. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and it is still my favorite froyo place BY FAR. The froyo is so good and the portions are ginormous! Unlike JP Licks where you pay $5+ for a tiny cup, the cups here are overflowing. They really pile it on. And they've really upped the "flavor of the day" variety.
