I walked into this establishment 10 minutes before closing, fully aware it was the end of a shift on Monday, March 3rd . However, no matter what time a customer arrives, they should feel valued and receive decent customer service. Upon entering, a young man at the counter greeted me kindly and assured me they were still open when I asked. His welcoming attitude was appreciated. However, my experience quickly turned sour. While I stood at the counter, I noticed a young woman, who appeared to be counting a register, looking visibly annoyed that I was there. There were no cookies in the display, and since this was my first visit, I wasn't familiar with their menu or offerings. I asked more than one question. As I looked toward the menu on the wall, I hoped she might offer some guidance but she didn't. Her demeanor was cold and unhelpful. Another employee eventually emerged from the back, and the first woman's attitude noticeably shifted she may have been a shift lead/mgr. I finally asked if I could see some cookies, explaining that it was my first visit. Only then did she reluctantly pull out a tray of cookies for me to see. As a first-time customer, I left extremely disappointed. Regardless of the time, I shouldn't have felt like a burden. While my husband is considering giving them another try during regular hours, I'm not sure I want to. If a business can't provide respectful service no matter what time you visit, why spend money there? They basically sell cookies and ice cream. How about twenty-one cookie choices including Apple Cider, Cinnabon, Ginger Molasses, S'Mores and Stuffed Oreo. I counted 30 different ice cream flavors. So consider the possibilities. You can get plain old cookies, a plain old dish of ice cream, a cookie/ice cream sandwich, plus floats, shakes, and "quakes" which are closely related to a Dairy Queen Blizzard. We ordered a Birthday Cake cookie, a Red Velvet cookie, a chocolate quake with M&Ms, and 2 dishes of ice cream. Everything totaled $23.40 which I thought was pretty reasonable. The cookies and quake were indeed monstrous in size. My $5 dish of Toffee Heath ice cream was fantastic. Today I came in with my two kids. There was a boy cleaning windows and two girls sitting there on their phones, talking to each other. They then made the boy come over and help me while they continued to sit there on their phones and do nothing. This is very disrespectful and rude, not just towards me but to the boy as well. I felt awful for him. He then helped the people after me, and one of the girls yelled at him and said he was doing it wrong, even though he did it the exact same way he did it for me.
