TruTailor is by far the connoisseurs in custom suiting. They know every intricate detail and grasp a full understanding of what custom suiting should entail. They are full service and work with you from guiding you through style advice during the consultation, throughout the build process, and not even ceasing their service after the completion of the suit. They honestly love being there as a resource for advice and stand behind their work as if it is their babies they are releasing to another owner. Love how they dont cut corners but do everything in their power to make sure everything is up to their standards, which is to a height that I have never been able to experience at any other shop even if they charge 5x the rates of this place. I did want to mention that the measurement process and end result was simply amazing. I have a wide chest, and most custom makers cannot get it right. This place took double the measurements of my other shops and took measurements I have never known could be measured separately(ie. Two chest measurements, armhole measurements, posture adjustments, shoulder angle, etc). Most shops boast perfect fit this and that, but these guys really stand behind it. We had such a great experience with TruTailor.  My fiance has never had a perfectly fitted suit, and with our wedding coming we decided a custom suit is worth it.   The process was simple, easy, knowledgeable and most importantly, completely stress free.   For some guys, including my fiance, having to try on clothes and be measured can be a not fun experience, but Josh at TruTailor made everything easy and comfortable.  There are so many ways to customize anything you want, and Josh was so helpful in advising what is most common, what is most affordable for our budget, and what little details help make the custom suit your own.   You can even hide a little written note on the inside of the suit jacket - so great.  We can not recommend them more, and my soon to be husband plans to order more suits from them in the future, once they have your measurements on file they save it so you can easily get additional suits as needed!  Thank you Josh and thank you TruTailor! read more

I found trutailor on Instagram. Sent the contact email a message, I would say got a response within the same day. David made sure I had enough time for my wedding for the suit to be ready. For my first fitting Josh assisted us in their office in LA. I'm a T-shirt guy so my knowledge with suits yet alone custom suits is minimal to none. However, I did not feel like that with Josh. He explained every part in details in ways that's it's simple enough for an average joe like me to understand. First things first. The reviews here are not part of some promotion or incentive given by Josh or David. I know that some amazon sellers will give you a freebie or discount if you leave a good review but that is not the case here. I'm adding my review after getting my suit so it could be a positive or negative review and I wouldn't benefit from it. Living in Los Angeles there are hundreds if not thousands of places to buy a suit but I will never buy a suit from another place as long as these two guys are around. Now onto the review: 1) The initial consultation: 10/10 - The attention to the customer is great. They take time to explain everything to you. As a first time custom suit buyer I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with my suit but Josh helped me narrow down my choices and gave me his opinions on what he thought would work in my favor and what wouldn't. - The only improvement I can think of, and it is just to help newbies such as myself, is if they had bigger fabric samples. I know office space is limited at the moment but if there is room for expansion I think having a bigger pieces of fabric will definitely help get a better picture of what the suit will end up looking like. Most of the time it's hard to picture a square one ply piece of fabric into a full suit. It is definitely not a deal breaker by any means but it would certainly be helpful. 2) Turn around time and responsiveness 10/10 - I'll admit. This is where a lot of new comers to bespoke clothing can mess up. Unlike an "off the rack" suit you can't just walk in choose a suit and expect to pick it up in a week or two. I went in for the first time to meet with Josh in the middle of June 12, 2020 and I received the final product August 1, 2020. Please keep in mind that this was in the middle of Corona and they didn't have a ton of orders to fulfill so times can vary. - It looks like they do have an expedited process for those who need to suits earlier but I didn't ask about this so I am not sure how it works. - The guys generally reply within a day or two but they are the type of businessmen who keep their word and estimates. If they tell you something will be done by a certain time you can be sure it'll be done. Unless an unfortunate event comes up but other than that you can count on them. 3) Fit and Quality: 10/10 - I am no expert in custom clothing so you can take my opinion lightly. I am satisfied with my purchase. I did not get buyers remorse for a big purchase. The fit was spot on the first time. Just the best had to be altered slightly but everything fit as described by Josh during the initial consultation. The seams are straight and tight. Other com - Don't be ashamed of your budget if you want the $599 suit they offer or if that is all that's possible, you won't be disappointed; I would just let the guys know so they can show you the options that are within price range. I was a bit hesitant to purchase a custom suit because of the price tag and the abundance of "off the rack" options in places like Men's Wearhouse. With the price you pay here you can pick up a "premium" option at one of those stores but you also have to keep in mind that those suits are made with a generic body in mind and you still have to make some alterations which can be a pain if you do it with a corporation. If you have a body that can fit into one of those suits that's great you may want to consider that route as well but if you want something that no one else has and something that was made with you in mind, go to TruTailor. read more

Went here based on a friend's recommendation for my wedding and I wasn't disappointed. The experience from start to finish was amazing. Being a chiropractor I work with people with many anatomical/functional discrepancies; one shoulder higher than the other, difference in leg length, and even muscle development from one side to the other. That's why I wanted a suit that would fit my body and not some off the rack suit that would fit only certain parts. Having an idea of what I wanted but not down to the details, they were able to seamlessly guide me through the process. They have a lot of options, so if you're looking for something specific, they have it or can get it for you. For the areas I didn't know what I wanted, they helped me pick the best options. The measurements were spot on. I brought in an old suit so they had an idea, but this wasn't necessary, just something I like to do. The very first fitting was good, but not perfect. However, they made the adjustments quickly and then it fit perfectly. I've read other custom suit company's reviews that had to make multiple adjustments for their customer. That would have been overwhelming for me, I like to get in and out with what I want and TruTailor did this well. The first fitting could have a few changes, but after the 2nd and 3rd one, it should fit unless I was indecisive. Overall, had a great experience and will come back for any suits I need in the future. Their attention to detail and customer service was spot on. Not only did they make it easy when they guided us through their thousands of options but they were really nice and informative rather than sales driven and pushy. This place was a life savor!!! After going to several department stores looking for the right tux for the big day, I stumbled upon this amazing place! They make custom tuxedos and suits that are impeccable and at a far better price than Neiman Marcus. The owners couldn't be nicer and Josh was awesome. Somehow after being on this planet for 50 years, I've never actually owned a full suit (a long story, but not relevant to this review). I found TT after a Google search and read the reviews... and was still skeptical, but opted to give it "what do I have to lose" shot. In short the service was top notch with quick responses to my inquiries and the suit came out flawless and with the kind of detail and sophistication I was looking for (getting married in it).
