    Close up of embroidery

Commissioned a Scorpion Jacket from the movie Drive (2011). Very happy with the results, the silk material is a beautiful shade and the embroidery is phenomenal. David and Nuage were very courteous and professional throughout the entire process. I was impressed by their dedication to get the measurements exactly right. Over email, they asked that I send them a list of measurements. They added that if there's a zip-up jacket I like that fits me well, to take pictures of myself in it front/back/side, then mail them that jacket. I did just that, and picked up my jackets in-person at the store in Los Angeles on a trip that I had planned (they did offer to mail it to me if I'd like it sooner). My friends have seen the jacket, and are now interested in commissioning custom suits of their own for formal events. Highly recommend High Society for custom attire. I see why they're so loved in Hollywood and by the community.

This place should be ashamed of themselves to say they are professional!! This is how they sewed a expensive evening gown!! They also completely stained and wrinkled the dress!!! I have a wedding tomorrow and have nothing to wear!!!! I'm sooooo beyond disappointed with this place!!! Their prices are beyond outrageous and you would think they at least do good work but they are a fail! Avoid this rude and unprofessional place!!!!!

got a custom 3 piece suit made here for fiancee. Very pleased with the results. Some notes: - they have access to Italian mill fabrics if you are interested in higher end fabrics like Loro Piana - it was a 3 week turnaround essentially, and the suit is made in-house. - plenty of free parking behind the building! - slightly tricky to work with if you can't speak Korean. But they have in house managers like Jerry who is a great in between person that can translate - mr. Han is great! Very friendly tailor with a great eye for proportions. My man has a very slim build and it's tricky to fit clothing to him that accents his body, but Mr. Han knew exactly what to do! Even accented my man's cute toosh when requested by me.

Mr. Richard Lim is a goddamn artist. Since 1968, Mr. Lim has been designing, fitting and creating clothes for the Hollywood elite and I am honored and privileged to have had him make a few bespoke items for me. I started by taking in 4 Saks suits to have him tailor and after an impeccable job, I decided to have a few shirts done as well. Let me say, you don't know how a shirt is supposed to feel and fit until you get one made by this man. Even if it's a simple white shirt, you feel different in it, like an added aura of added confidence and people around you will notice something different even if they can't particularly point it out. I had a black tie event I needed to attend last week and the week before I decided to take the plunge and get a bespoke tuxedo made for the event. The result? amazing astounding awesome breathtaking extraordinary fascinating incredible marvelous spectacular stunning unbelievable wonderful But even thesaurus.com's synonyms do not do his works justice. I'll solely be coming here for any of my future suiting needs. Also, shout out to Sunny for always bringing a smiling face to the table! :) Oh, and lastly, this tuxedo was the main contributor in helping me win best dressed at the black tie.

Their seamstress permanently damaged two of my designer dresses during alterations. I was very clear, multiple times, about where I wanted the alterations made. Instead, she chose to alter them in different places, cut into the dresses, and sewed them into new spots that I did not approve. The result was not what I asked for, and the damage is not realistically repairable back to the original condition. At first, they acknowledged the issue and told me they would compensate me for the damage. Now, they have completely gone back on that and are ignoring me. After years of being a loyal customer and giving them a significant amount of business, it feels like they were only happy to communicate when I was paying them. They are also one of the most expensive dry cleaners I have ever used, which makes this even more frustrating. For the prices they charge, I would expect professionalism, accountability, and basic care with valuable garments- not unauthorized alterations, permanent damage, and then being ghosted when it comes time to make it right. I would strongly caution anyone from trusting them with anything valuable, sentimental, designer, vintage, or difficult to replace. I regret giving them my business for as long as I did.

5 Stars - Lifesaver Before the Emmys!…read more I came to LA for the Emmys and the night before my flight, I tried on my dress--only to realize it was way too big. I had lost a bit of weight and the fit was completely off. The dress looked boxy and frumpy, and I honestly started to panic. Thankfully, I found Lina--the amazing owner of Alterations Et Al in West Hollywood. I reached out and she invited me to bring the dress in to see what could be done. She was so warm, kind, and professional--and even with the tight turnaround, she agreed to take on the rush job. The dress needed a lot of work, but when I picked it up, it fit like a glove. It looked flawless and felt like it had been custom-made for me. Lina is not only incredibly talented, but also fast, detail-oriented, and just lovely to work with. So many people told me I looked beautiful that night--and a few even said I was one of the best dressed. That's 100% thanks to Lina's amazing work. I've gone to this tailor multiple times because the location is convenient. He does overcharge, but…read morein the past the work was at least acceptable--so I kept going. That changed with my most recent suit. The alterations were objectively bad. The jacket was visibly lopsided: one sleeve was about an inch longer than the other, one side of the jacket hadn't been taken in at all, and the pants were tapered far too tight. To make matters worse, the elbow seam hadn't even been sewn properly. I had already paid, so when I pointed all this out, I was told to bring the suit back and they'd "take care of it." Fine. Mistakes happen--what matters is how they're handled. When I picked up the suit after the supposed fixes, I was charged again for correcting their own mistakes. That's the real issue here. They do not stand behind their work. If the outcome is wrong, the responsibility is pushed back onto the customer. That's poor craftsmanship paired with poor ethics. You don't pay for an attempt--you pay for a finished result. If a tailor won't honor the quality of their own work, that's a red flag. I'd strongly recommend finding another tailor, and explicitly asking upfront whether they stand behind their alterations. These guys do not.

So, as you may or may not know, Rudy's handles overflow for the Tom ford store on rodeo. So I took my Tom ford suit there. They seemed to undertand the aesthetic (obviously) and angel didn't need to be prompted to balance the sleeves so I was fine with them doing the tailoring. He told me it would take a week, but I have then a little longer-- I'd pick up the suit on a Thursday morning for a Saturday wedding. This way, if there are issues, they can be fixed. Well, it wasn't done Thursday morning but was told it would be done by 4. So I rearranged my day to drive from culver to weho at 4 pm. Guess what? It wasn't done. So I then had to rearrange things again to pick it up Friday morning. When I got there not only was it boxy as hell (read: wrong. Flat out wrong) but angel was nowhere to be seen. So I took it and texted angel when I go home. To his credit he offered to make it right, but he'd burned all the time he had so it wasn't possible.
