I was a little leery of TSK Thames Street Kitchen because of a few things we kept seeing creep up in reviews: the noise and comments about tastes. Our experience completely redeemed the place on those concerns: every bite of food we had was _delicious_ and prepared in a masterly way. And the noise . . . well, it just wasn't even remarkable. It's a popular place, sure, but it's not a madhouse or anything. (I can think of two other nearby places that were a LOT louder than TSK on the nights we visited them.) Okay, but the service - friendly and . . . seemingly caring . . . but - I don't know, not always on top of things? Some things were instantly noted and addressed, others - well, there were big gaps of time between check-ins . . . and it wasn't an especially busy time. Also a couple reasonably major life events that had been noted when making the reservation were not even remarked upon: it was just sort of, "Here's your supper!" We'd certainly go back - the folks in the kitchen are fantastic and I want more of what they make - heck, I'd go back today. The folks out front . . . well, it wasn't an "A-Team" experience, although it wasn't unpleasant or anything.

We had a wonderful time here and was so impressed with the food, cocktails and staff. We enjoyed the bone marrow app, Caesar & wedge salads, filet & NY Strip & the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Summer, our server, did a terrific job and was very attentive & provided great suggestions. I forgot my leftover bag and a member of the staff went outside in the cold to track me down. Very impressive place in all ways!!

My favorite dining experience in Newport. Amazing steaks (tried filet and hangar) and sides (fingerling mashed potatoes and glazed carrots special). The tomato and burrata special appetizer was one of the few times in my life that I loved the taste of a tomato. Notes: the sides are pretty large...we had 2 for 2 people and had leftovers. The bearnaise butter is literally butter with bearnaise flavor. I'd have preferred a traditional bearnaise sauce but this was still pretty good.

This was our first time at TSK and WOW! What a great spot! Unlike many Newport dining stops, TSK is casual and comfortable. Their menu is short but done so well. Their staff was attentive and friendly, even chatting back to us with questions about how they were cooking the steak (we opted for the bar seat dining option). Would highly recommend for a cozy steak meal! We can't wait to come back!

Came here with a reservation in a Thursday night and this place does not disappoint! we loved having a seat at the bar and watching the open kitchen work. the food was delicious and service was excellent and super fast. we got the mission cut steak (31 ounces) with the bonito brown butter and it was so unique and tasted amazing. the apps were good - we definitely liked the bone marrow and escargot! our one piece of advice would be to make an earlier reservation because they only have a set quantity of the mission cut steak and set sizes, we originally wanted a smaller amount but 31 ounces was the smallest steak they had left. would definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting newport!

YOU NEED RESERVATIONS TO COME HERE! Do NOT GET UPSET AND LEAVE BAD REVIEWS BC THEY TURN YOU AWAY OR OFFER YOU UNFAVORABLE SEATING/TIMES. We booked weeks out as we are coming from Long Island AND NEVER DISAPPOINTED! Please use common sense and NOT complain noise as well since it's an OPEN KITCHEN AND VERY BUSY RESTAURANT. People are going to talk and have a good time...deal with it! Last time we got the hanger steak this time we got the strip! My wife couldn't finish her meal and I struggled to finish it for her As usual we padded our bill with $15 plus delish cock tails! Our server was amazing! When you order steak you get one choice of dip for the steak! It is actually enough for two people so each person should pick a different one bc sharing is caring! We got the Bearnice Butter and black garlic BBQ. We did the black garlic BBQ in the past so we knew it was good. Bearnice sauce was amazing and we both dipped into that with every bite. We didn't even touch the Black Garlic BBQ We got their mash potatoes which is to die for as well as their broccolini with tahini, almond and bacon. You couldn't even taste the tahini which is good bc my wife doesn't do spicy! WE WILL BE BACK!

Food was tasty, staff was very accommodating to my food allergies and everyone was very friendly. You could tell that all their produce and meats are very fresh. Small restaurant with a unique ambience. Parking is difficult so make sure to arrive early to find parking. The restaurant also gets busy fast so a reservation is recommended

Newport has many great restaurants, but this is the best food in town by far. It is pricey, but well worth every penny. Have been here a couple of times. Sat on the patio outdoors the first time and dined indoors on return visits. Bread appetizer is delicious and cocktails are great too. Steaks are cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful. Have had filet mignon as well as NY strip. Definitely get the brown butter Benito sauce. It is probably the best sauce I have ever tasted. For sides I have had potato latkes, roasted shishitos, and glazed carrots. All were top notch. Great service and vibe here as well. Can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place.

Bit shocked by the noise level when we first entered Wednesday night but decided to stay since they had such great reviews on Yelp. Glad we did as every course was a hit...plus wine selection was above average quality. Five stars for service and food. Maybe someday down the line something can be done to lower the noise level....had to yell thru dinner to my husband to be heard. Next time going in warmer weather and sitting outside may help. Loud enough to remove a star...

Second time coming here. The food was just as good as it was last time, and the service was even better. I love that they added a few new things to the menu. Looking forward to our next trip here. The Caesar salad was both creative and tasty!

The restaurant was packed, and since we didn't have a reservation, we ended up sitting in the bar area. Honestly, that wasn't a bad thing--the views of the sunset and the wharf were beautiful. The drinks came out quickly, although my cocktail had way too much citrus. The oysters arrived next, and they were fresh and delicious, so we were all feeling pretty good about the meal and looking forward to our entrées. Unfortunately, that's where things went downhill. We waited an entire hour for our entrées to arrive, and the waitstaff wasn't very forthcoming with updates. We had to track someone down anytime we had a question or needed something, which became very frustrating. Once the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. Several of the dishes were extremely salty. I ordered the swordfish, which was slightly overcooked, and the vegetables were overwhelmingly acidic, as if an entire bottle of vinegar had been poured over them. They were also topped with a generous amount of capers, making the dish even saltier. Overall, it just wasn't enjoyable. I mentioned my concerns to our waitress, but unfortunately, she didn't seem particularly concerned. Hopefully, she passed the feedback along to the chef so some adjustments can be made. The beautiful waterfront setting and fresh oysters were definitely highlights which gained a star here but unfortunately, the long wait, lack of communication, and disappointing entrées overshadowed the experience.

Normally, I would've been upset, but I figured something was better than nothing, and this was our only shot at getting something. We were both really glad we went there because dining indoors was lovely, and we still had a great view of the bay. The food was delicious, we walked around outside after our meal, so we didn't feel like we lost out on any aspect of our lunch. It was just rearranged. We both ordered lobster rolls, which came with French fries. The lobster roll was incredibly overstuffed with lots of beautiful lobster meat. It was impressive to see and even better to bite into. The lobster was sweet and succulent and loads of it, surrounded by a buttery brioche bun. Fabulous !! It was a wonderful first meal of our vacation, so we were off to a great start. We decided to split dessert and ordered their lemon meringue tart. It was so pretty, and it tasted even better. It was a beautiful day when we went there... not too hot nor humid. This place is known for a whole slew of adirondack chairs laid out on the inn's "hill." It was quite crowded when we were there. Very popular spot. I'm so glad we opted to have our lunch indoors at this famous inn at Castle Hill. We loved it.

Service was attentive, the restaurant is super spacious, and the food was delicious. We started with a couple cocktails which were decent but I would suggest a bottle of wine instead to better suit their menu. The Crispy Calamari was so satisfying. It was crispy, not chewy at all, and the peppers and lemon added a bright zestiness to each bite. The Lobster Bisque was also the best I've ever had. It was soothing, buttery, and loaded with lobster! Since we were sharing, they pre-split the portion for us which was a thoughtful touch. We got the Bone In Delmonica 18oz which comes with one accompanying sauce. We got the truffle butter and I wish they'd give at least 2 because the horseradish crema and chimichurri also caught my eye. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium. It was charred on the outside, juicy on the inside, and went well with the sides. Speaking of sides, the Truffle Mac & Cheese is a huge portion for ~$16! Not to mention, it's so creamy, cheesy, and earthy from the truffle. I loved it! The 22B Mashed Potatoes were delicately smooth and paired well with the steak. We ended with the Old Fashioned Carrot Cake which was moist, had good texture, and a delicious cream cheese frosting. I appreciate the fact that it was complimentary; getting a free birthday dessert has become a lost art but not at 22 Bowen's! Highly recommend making a reservation for a special occasion or just a memorable dinner!
