I recently got two of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Tso. The staff was very friendly, and from our conversations I could see that they were clearly being the "patient's advocate". In other words, I could tell that they were making the effort to do what's best for the patient. After my surgery (which went smoothly), I had some pain for the next 10 days, but I was able to suppress it with the painkillers Dr. Tso prescribed and Advil. No complications for me. Somewhere between the 10 days, I got two phone calls from the staff asking how I was doing. They also had me go back a week later to make sure that I was recovering as expected. This goes to show that they care about the patients - before, during and after the procedures. I can sort of see why other people would give Dr. Tso negative reviews about his attitude - he was kind of in a hurry when it comes to answering questions. Regardless, Dr. Tso really does know what he is doing. Overall, I had a satisfactory experience with Dr. Tso. Although I don't plan on going back since I don't have anymore teeth for him to extract, I would recommend him. read more

I had my wisdom tooth pulled by this dentist. He's pretty good. My complaint is about the front desk lady. At the time I was there, she was very rude. Not a people person at all, so I don't know how she got this job. To top it off, she got on the phone with her daughter and started yelling at her. Cursing her out. Everyone in the office can hear. I am appalled by the reviews I've read about Dr.Tso. I've gone to Dr. Tso for several procedures over the years and a implant. He has always been very professional and they always gave accurate estimates up front before each procedure. The staff has been more than accommodating and willing to work around my schedule. It is an unprofessional office. They don't answer email, and they will do everything they can to cover their own liability, and they have no concern for your health and wellbeing. They wanted a consultation before they could schedule the extraction. How does that make sense. I sent them my x-ray. They could tell if there were any serious issues. I understand you might want a consultation but schedule the surgery and the consultation unless there is information that suggests the case to be very special. They wouldn't even compromise with me on anything. It had to be their way and no concern for the patient. I will not go to Dr. Tso. You should not either. They don't really care about you. read more

I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Tso, and it was a great experience (well, as great as removing wisdom teeth can get). He's very friendly and patient, and he explains during the consultation what's going on with the teeth. The lady at the front desk is also very friendly, and she made conversation with us. Getting the wisdom teeth out was no problem at all; I was put under anesthesia and when I woke up, I got wheelchaired out to the car. Definitely recommend Dr Tso! read more

Very bad experience. Went in for a free consultation almost 3 months ago. Decided not to go with the surgery since the charges were ridiculous. Took a second opinion and got the entire surgery done for free. But recently received a bill from Dr. Alberts office for "CT capture, full arch, mandible" that wasn't even shown to me. Plus the billing clerk was really rude. I do not recommend treatment from this place. read more

Monday Oct. 22 I needed a tooth extracted so I called Dr. Tso who took out my wisdom tooth 10 years ago. Tuesday I came for a consultation. Wednesday they took the tooth out. One week later they asked me to come by to check how I am doing. And all is well! I recommend Dr Tso for his expertise and years of experience. Recently, I had to pull all four of my wisdom teeth out and I was recommended to Dr. Tso by my primary dentist. I was terrified and nervous to get them removed, because of complications that could occur after. I had booked my consultation with Dr. Tso and he thoroughly explain everything to me. I was still a little iffy if i should continue with him because he gave off arrogant vibes and he was not very comforting. Anyhow, I booked my second appointment for x-rays and about three weeks later I had my surgery. I was TERRIFIED, BUT Dr. Tso knows what he is doing and talking about!!!!!!! The surgery was very quick and surprisingly I did not feel as much pain as i was expecting. I kept hearing stories of how terrible the pain is after, maybe I got lucky. About a 1/2 -2 weeks later I was healed. I see where the negative reviews are coming from regarding his attitude, but he is a great oral surgeon and has been practicing for many many years. read more

This guy is an ASS. After a wisdom teeth surgery, a friend had a huge lump swell on her jaw. The pain got worse and worse. After five days, he told her she was fine, and to get over it. He had her on vicodin, which made her vomit, and wouldn't give her anything else. She *finally* went to the ER -after calling in again that day and he told her she was fine- after the pain got so bad on day 5 that she couldn't function. Turns out, she had a *massive* infection. So I guess she wasn't 'fine' after all. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I was referred by my general dentist. Dr. Tso did a great job on my implant. He was very patient and thorough. He answered all of my questions. I was really nervous to have dental work done and he was very patient and made me feel comfortable. The implant looks awesome. The office staff were all very friendly too. EXCELLENT surgeon ! totally NOT understand the bad reviews here ! His staff are not only responsive but helpful! My mom 78 has complicated sinus surgery done by him, great result. He has very good surgery skill and very experienced surgeon, and his diagnose is accurate and just very experienced Doctor. He is not the kind of doctor that is too warm and fussy , spend time to chat and social, but he is to the point, very sharp thinking, and confident, and very care and detail in his diagnose, and check everything and anything to ensure the best surgery outcome. The best kind of doctor you can ask for !!! Myself has had 5 wisdom teeth pulled by him, also a very complicated case , he did it with such care and detail to ensure the best result I could possibly have. Before i decided to go with him, i have consulted 4 other surgeons due to the complications i had, and he is the one spend most of the time with me and did most detail exam and explanation with me. I felt he included me in all this decision, and explain why he would have such approach ! At end, It comes as very easy decision for me as it is obvious he knew what he is talking about and really care about me. And after that his staff is very helpful, go thru the insurance get approval, and call me to inform me all the before and after surgery precautions. His fees are also very resonable , and out of the 4 other surgeons i considered, he is the most inexpensive one, and very straight forward in his quote. I am shocked by any negative reviews about Dr. Tso and his staff. I just had my second lengthy procedure performed yesterday and my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by him several years ago. In every instance I feel my family has received excellent treatment from the time we entered the door until well after we have left, since we get follow up calls to make sure we are healing. He is not only highly skilled, but also a great communicator and takes every opportunity to keep his patients informed. This is another VERY POSITIVE review about Dr. Albert Tso and his entire office. I was very alarmed when my dentist said he wanted to send me to an oral surgeon for a questionable issue. I called 5 Fremont/Pleasanton locations where they claim to offer the services of an oral surgeon and not one was interested in accepting me when I disclosed my New Dental Choice plan information. I got excuses and abruptly dismissed unless I was willing to forego my plan and pay their prices. Suddenly the oral surgeon was not available to see me. I was very fortunate when I found Dr. Tso. For both of my visits, I never waited more than 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Tso quickly sensed my anxiety and treated me in a very calm, reassuring, professional manner. His diagnosis seemed very reasonable (a very conservative rather than aggressive approach) and his advice for treatment was "spot on" saving me from the high cost of unnecessary treatment. I would not hesitate to return to his office if the need should ever arise. In my experience, the overall quality of treatment at this office is far superior to that of other local offices. Every time I walk in for myself or with family members we are greeted with a smile and a how may I help you. Albert Tso is a horrible doctor, he treats his patient very rudely. Very bad customer service by doctor and reception lady is also rude and lie about the treatments and billing. My daughter called the office to understand the cost for tooth extraction and was given a range of $170 to $495 and there would be a $95 examination cost that would not be creditted to her. When she went for the exam the estimate was over $800 as they said that there were other costs. When I told them it was bait and switch they said that the price given on the phone were extraction fees. This was a waste of our time and we are not going ahead with this dentist as their staff is unprofessional and also they are getting patients by doing a bait and switch is questionable. Furthermore they would not refund the $95 or honor the $495 price as they had mentioned as the extraction costs. I would be very wary of any patients using this office unless they have extra unneeded money. read more

Didn't even get to see the dentist at all. The person who answered my call was rude, so why waste my money there.

I had an emergency and had to find another dentist that was more concerned about me than my insurance carrier. i.e. (FDG - Fremont Blvd) Dr. Tso explained my options and everything regarding the procedure. I'm not giving them 5 stars based on my situation at the time. These stars are earned for his professionalism and recommendation of a general dentist within the same complex. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before going to this dentist, he is a Thief, liar not patient at all if you ask any question. I am a nurse and I don't think I have seen anybody treating their patient like he does. My regular dentist referred me there because he is a dental surgeon. Very bad experience, First I went for a consultation and they charge redicoulesly high amount from my insurance for a 5 minute consultation and then he had me do the X-rays again even though my regular dentist done them so he can make money out of that as well. Then he pressurized me to get all 4 wisdom teeth out but I only needed 1 out and I was willing to do 2 at that time and he didn't like that was angry about it. He was insisting on doing it under general anesthesia but I wanted to do under local numbing injections. I found out that they make more money if they do it under general anesthesia, he is all about robbing you as much as he can. So on the day I went to get my wisdom teeth out, I told him I am only going to take out 2 at this time and he got angry with me and started numbing the area I was gaging and I raised my hand to stop for a second so I can breath and all of a sudden he got agressively angry with me and walked out the room saying that I held his hand. He is such a liar, don't want to listen what his patient is trying tell him. He is an asshole. Had a very very traumatic experience at this place. read more
