I had my annual eye exam here on July 9 and placed my contact lens order right there in the office. During that visit, I explicitly told the staff that I needed these lenses before an upcoming business trip. It has now been nearly three weeks, and my order was completely lost in transit. What makes this unacceptable is that nobody bothered to notify me. I only found out after repeatedly calling the office myself to chase down updates. They appear to only have one or two people staffed at the front desk, which is clearly causing a massive administrative bottleneck. I do not know if the issue is a lack of training or a total breakdown in their new corporate systems, but leaving a long-term patient stranded without vital corrective lenses right before a work trip is a massive failure. If you value communication, reliable ordering, and basic customer service, look elsewhere in Austin. The current management is dropping the ball.

Their scheduling department is a joke with no visibility. I'd say you get what you pay for but seeing that the price is universal for most shops, who knows. We have been coming here for years, and same reception gal. Greeting is very dry, and robotic. Today we were asked to show insurance card, and fill out paperwork. Definitely need more room to fill out your name, phone and address. When my client was called I was told to not come in. I advised the gal I am her caregiver, and help her walking, since she does not use a cane or walker. She just looked at me like I had said something in a different language. I have ALWAYS gone in with my 92 year old client. I asked the gal to please come hold my clients hand since she was not allowing me in for her eye exams. Even as we are checking out, the gal at check out has no courtesy, or warmth another gal that is not professional at her job. Except for the doctor. He has excellent customer service skills.
