Delicious food and the owner was lovely. Highly recommend- the lamb pita was amazing and the meat was fresh. Very good.

The portion size is pretty small for what you pay for. This platter costs around 23 dollars.

Decent Schwarma with pretty good meat, mediocre tzatziki, and excellent "Schwarma sauce." I got the lamb and beef wrap. At $8, the price is quite agressive. The wrap is a good lunch portion but not overstuffed. The meat was probably a small handful, not a ton. It was savoury and flavorful with a nice juicy tender bite. The pita wrap was a bit dry/chalky grinding between my teeth but was crisp and just oily enough on the exterior. The tzatziki was goopy and just not very aromatic. Mostly tasted like light sour cream. Toppings were fresh and crisp.

It's not that hard to make a good shawarma -- even just lemon, garlic and salt gets you halfway there. My chicken shawarma lacked all of these basics, and was somehow also dried out and chewy on top of that. Salad veggies were clearly not fresh, and the sauces served on the side were -- mayonnaise-based? Restaurant interior is spartan and dated, and the owner had the front door propped open on a frigid fall day. He was friendly enough but would definitely not return. read more

Soooooo I GET IT ... it's covid, wear a mask. HOWEVER, with that being said I cannot emphasize the importance of rating this family owned business for their work. Instead of berating them for a minor mistake at the beginning of Covid when there was mass miss-information. Anyways the important stuff: I walked in today and the cook was wearing a mask, she was gracious and friendly. But THE FOOD - mouthwatering, deliciousness, the savory sauces, hand made pita, freshly cooked veggies ... WOW! This is place more than an incredible dish, this is a gem of a restaurant in the heart of west Chester & worth every bite! You would be INSANE to not at least give them a try! Very Disappointed Friday night when I ordered a beef/lamb shawarma wrap. $14 wrap was much smaller than in the past, maybe equal in size to half a cheese steak, not worth $10. $8 Shawarma vegetable soup barely had any vegetables and was fair tasting at best. In from out of town for business - got in late and ordered DoorDash from hotel. Delivery was fast and my Beef-Lamb Shawarma was very good. First the awesome things about this place: 1. they deliver after midnight 2. really fresh pita breads (not sure if they are homemade) and 3. dill in their tzatiki sauce. The salad was pretty fresh. The chicken kabob was juicy and good. The stuffed grape leaves were average. Sadly, the gyro (beef and lamb) was pretty salty. There were also a lot of onions in the salad and the meat. Perhaps this is not a problem for everyone, but to someone who could not eat them, it would have been nice to know. The hummus, however, was the biggest disappointment. It was used as a salad dressing. It is indeed the consistency or salad dressing. It did not seem to have any tahini paste in it. I think Zahav and Dizengoeff would gasp in horror then realize, their hummus empire is entirely safe. There are other establishments in West Chester that serve as good or better of these food items. read more

I'm not sure why this awesome middle eastern restaurant received such low ratings. Twice I've eaten here and I've been pleasantly surprised. It's relatively inexpensive and conveniently open very late. I've eaten the lamb gyro, combo platter & baklava. All items were delicious and not dry. CUSTOMER SERVICE is amazing there was a misunderstanding with what I ordered and the gentleman that worked there handled professionally and made sure I left happy ! After reading reviews on Yelp I thought I will give a try. I had chicken kabobs combo $14.98 to go. It was OK. Not bad but nothing special. Chicken was good just good not wow!, nothing Greek about the side salad, grape leaf wrapped rice... was just there, rice with frozen vegetable topping was bad, home made pita bread? I will take a store bought bread if I have a choice, side sauce for chicken with dill was best part of the meal. I will not pay $14 for this meal. Sorry. read more

Excellent experience! Arrived to pick up my food and the owner was calling me to let me know it was about to be ready so that I could have it while it was still hot. We were in eye-shot of each other when I picked up which was funny for both of us. While there he quickly fixed up a small portion of the large order he was preparing for another party so that I could taste something new. It, like my order, was beyond excellent! The best Mediterranean food you'll find in Philly and the surrounding suburbs. I've tried all the places in the "area". I've tried Mamoun's in NYC. I've tried Halal guys on 53rd and 6th. Mahrous (the owner) is great. High quality meat be it chicken or beef and lamb. Nothing but the best. read more

I am beyond frustrated. Today is the third time I've ordered from door dash and my order gets canceled by the restaurant and no one answers the phone to provide any information or another way for me to order my food. This clearly is an ongoing issue that they have no intention of fixing as many others have reported this problem as well. It's a shame because the food is delicious. read more

So I placed an order thru Uber eats which then got cancelled by the restaurant. I called the restaurant to see if they had my order and when she went thru the orders and I realized she didn't have mine I placed the order again thru Uber. 15 minutes later it got cancelled again. I called and called but no answer. We drove to the restaurant and it was closed ( this is 230pm on a Saturday ) Not sure why the lady didn't say they were closing. Outstanding. Absolutely one of the tastiest places in West Chester! We had the beef & lamb pita, the falafel, fries with tatziki and the mint tea (that had REAL MINT IN IT!!!!) Ridiculously surprisingly delicious. You know it's worth trying when even the negative reviewers still go back repeatedly despite their prior frustrations regarding the wait time. Avoid during CV-19- the cook was not wearing gloves or a mask and the attendant was not wearing gloves, his face mask was off when we entered to pick up our food and he put it on only to talk to us. High standards for food prep during this time are essential- please wear gloves and a mask when preparing food and encourage your employees to do the same. The food was also sloppily prepared and did not meet the description listed on the menu. Disappointed. Will not be returning. read more

Stopped by Shwarma Kebab this afternoon for lunch. I chose to go with the beef-lamb shwarma pita with everything that normally comes with it -- lettuce tomatoes onions tahini sauce. I also added a bit of the garlic sauce they had which i did not regret. The pita was fresh and soft, and stuffed to the rim with goodies. The meat was tender and juicy. I couldn't have asked for a better taste. I usually like to have a quick lunch as I am pretty busy on Fridays with work, I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. It definitely helped that the pita was so good, because I ate it faster than I thought was possible. Next time I will slow down and savor the flavor. I ate a the counter when I was there was able to get a good view of behind the counter. Everything was very organized and looked very clean, which is always nice to see at a place you are eating at. They also gave me a free coffee with my meal with I think is the special this month. The owner mentioned that it was Greek coffee, not sure what type but it was a good coffee that was free to top it off. read more

Shawarma I just had the other day on New Years. We Ordered around 1:45ish which was the cut off. Took the food till almost 4:00am to get here but I felt it was worth the wait. The fries are amazing and the food is delicious. They definitely put love into making their food. Definitely will be eating from here again. As I'm writing this we ordered from it again. We ordered the burger and the crab cakes. For $18 the burger is ok but I can get better elsewhere for that price point. The crab cakes were just ok not much filler but over done with Old Bay. The garlic mashed potatoes were lackluster (not much garlic flavor) and even though this was about a week ago, I can't remember the veg. A quick look at the menu online reminds me it was a southwest corn preparation. Since corn is out of season at the moment, my bar was set low but this was clearly commercially prepared corn. I suggest an in-season alternative. Service was ok. Even though we arrived pretty early by the time 5 PM rolled around, the place was full with every table inside and outside (very nice weather for outside dining) was taken. It reminds me a lot of the old Iron Hill from 20 y ago, just not as elevated dining as IH (RIP) originated with. Tried it, probably won't return. Entrees were not picture-worthy

We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.
