We were in the area for an errand and my daughter asked to get a pedicure. I remembered seeing a nail salon at knollwood shopping area. I called first to see if there's any availability, the lady said yes and we headed that direction. This salon is nestled in the hallway of shops with tailor and medical supply company. In between America's Best and Torrid. Salon is well lit, staff is welcoming. They had me login in the kiosk and she had my daughter picked out a color while she set up the pedicure station. Scheduled an appointment online the night before. They had plenty of availability. I received a fill and gel polish change. My nails are all the same shape (doesn't happen at other places). They took their time and were very meticulous while doing the service. My nails are nearly perfect. Plus services are currently 20% off. The salon is clean, and appears updated. They had music on and deal or no deal playing on the TV. Parking is a bit difficult to navigate, but that's Knollwood in general. read more

Joe does my pedicures and he is the best I've ever found. Le does my fills and gets my nails super short like I like them. The gel polish stays on with no chips for 4-6 weeks, but I get mine filled every 3 weeks. Highly recommend this place!! I'm surprised this place doesnt have more reviews. Literally everyone I know goes here, including my fancy pants friends. Nobody ever really remembers the name, but locals all know the place thats been in Knollwood for years. Oh. It's actually called Knollwood Nails. I wonder if it is bc we are all so relaxed when leaving that we cant remember the name? I only pop in maybe 3-5 times year and every single time I think I should make this a priority. About once a year I stop at some other strip mall style nail salon bc aren't they all the same? NO. This is the best pedicure at this price point ever. I have called ahead to get appointments sitting next to a friend, and I have done walk ins. The people doing the pedicures are not chatty, so I either talk to my friend or play on my phone. I have never seen anything even hinting at bad customer service. Highly recommended for all ages. read more

I would not recommend getting a nail dip here. They don't know how to properly do one. The nail tech tried to put gel polish over my nail dip and said it had to be done that way to make it shiny. I've had numerous nail dips other places and never have I been told this. She was quite mad at me when I said no to the UV rays. I also asked for squoval shapes nails and she appeared annoyed, even though that was the shape that I came in with. I have dip color all in my cuticles as well. After being made to feel bad when she called two other people over to complain that I said no to the UV rays, I just wanted to leave. read more

I have been coming to this place for a while and always get the same thing done, usually a pedicure and a white gel powder fill so I know exactly how much I usually pay. I was in a rush and had no time for a pedicure so just the fill. Once she was done she charged me $50 for a what should have been $35 claiming she had to charge me for the clear top coat, mind you, I do not get any polish at all. SHE CHARGED ME $15 FOR A TOP COAT!!!! When I told her that is not what I usually pay and that she was overcharging me she laughed and said, "ok $45 for you." I was pissed, never going back. Do not go here! I've been going for two years, dedicated client until Le, and Minh left the new crew is not professional they do not listen to what you need. I asked for a full set of nails, they charge you $5 if you ask for almond shape, they charge an extra 5$ for cuticle cleaning! Never ever have I heard of an extra $5 to clean cuticles for a full set. Located inside the mall, they are bit tucked in and isolated now that the shops have closed around them. They did a great job and were very friendly, prompt, and polite! I have gone to Knollwood Nails for the past few months. I get a full set and fills of pink and white. After some gentle suggestion on the details, I am usually satisfied. However this time was different. It was Saturday, Thanksgiving weekend. I came at about 4:30 pm. Not a single customer was in the salon during the hour and a half that I was there. Very telling! The manicurist/ owner? had a horrible attitude from the start. I acknowledge that I am picky about how I like my nails. However, I am always nice and ALWAYS RESPECTFUL to the manicurists, and I tip very well- at least 20%. I asked the manicurist/owner? to reshape a nail that wasn't quite right. This set her off! She started telling me that all I do is complain. She said that she refuses to deal with me any more, and doesn't care if I come back. She spoke in a very nasty manner. I was astonished and hurt. This review is not about how the manicuristowner does my nails. She is actually pretty good. This review is about how poorly I was treated. I do not deserve to be verbally demeaned! I DO NOT RECOMMEND Knollwood Nails under any circumstances. Customers deserve respect and kindness! Knollwood Nails does not deserve the business! read more

TERRIBLE service. DO NOT waste your money here. The employee did a horrible job.. he cut my skin, polish job was super sloppy (when I pointed this out to him he decided to grab the electric bur machine and put so much pressure on the nail area close to the cuticle that there were indents!!!!), filing job was inconsistent with all nails making them different shapes from toe to toe.. honestly my feet looked like a 5 year old did my pedicure. When I communicated at the end (very nicely) that I wasn't happy with the service another employee jumped in and said she would start all over again. At this point I said I did not have time to sit through another hour and I would prefer to go somewhere else to fix the shaping job. Instead the employee started to remove all the gel polish by just scrubbing aggressively with a course file..?? No one apologized and they STILL made me pay for a gel pedicure. I respectfully explained that I would be ok with paying for a gel removal but not a full price pedicure. After much time going back and forth I decided to just pay to get out of there to make it to another nail salon before they closed. STAY AWAY. read more

I live close to this nail salon but hadn't been for awhile - sort of forgot about them cuz they had closed during the Knollwood construction. The salon has been updated - the pedicure area is now in a separate room from the manicures. Very clean. They had tvs on in one area, but unlike other places, they weren't blaring. I was given a bottle of water as soon as I sat down. Had an excellent pedicure - I chose the one that was $40. She used some electronic callous remover, so no hard scrubbing on my feet. This is the only place I will go for pedicures. Everything about the experience is wonderful. The chairs give amazing massages. All the technicians I've had have been fantastic. They do a great job with the leg massage and removing rough spots and calluses. I've always been happy with my pedicures here and they last a long time. I get regular ones, not gel. I've been searching for a great nail salon in the St. Louis Park area for years. The places I've gone in the past have been inconsistent and some very rude. My niece and I gave Knollwood Nails a try for spa pedicures and it's now the only place we will go. The staff is very friendly, the massage chairs felt great, the leg and foot massage was fantastic and the pedicure was the best we've had. Great prices too.
