Cute little vibrant spot that we stumbled upon after checking out But First, Coffee. Super convenient and the kind of atmosphere and lunch that we were looking for. Not only is this actually a dessert spot, they have lunch here consisting of Venezuelan and Colombian food. Appetizers, arepas, ice creams, cakes, pies, etc can be found here. You can sit in their cute little lounge-y spot or their tables. It's so comfortable and colorful. Loved the vibe, service, and our lunch here. Definitely a nice lunch that didn't break the bank.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute spot for delicious Colombian treats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have driven 2 times to Orlando and made sure to visit. The cafe con leche, buñuelos and pan de bono are all delicious. Haven't tried anything else yet but looking forward to our next visit. Service is quick and attentive.

First customer services was great, very helpful and answered all my questions. I was able to order breakfast even in the afternoon. Me and my family ordered the paisa and the rancheros they come with either arepa or croissant , in the croissant they add cheese with I loved. Also we ordered the buñelos one with guayaba and arequipe. They were amazing definitely recommend. Oh and don't forget the cafe con leche 10 out of 10 recommend. We would definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.

I live close, so have come here quite a bit over the year…read more Pro- Just got renovated, so it looks pretty. The staff is nice, and the food is good. They also have lunch specials, which is nice. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Food came out at a decent time Food: 5/5 The soursop juice was delicious- it didn't seem like bottled juice! The Picanha steak was perfectly cooked and the tostones were some of the best I've had in a while! The arepas burriada was not what I expected (I've only had circular handheld arepas) but was absolutely delicious! All the components went well together and the fried thicker cuts/chunks of arepas were delicious! Price: 4.5/5 For Orlando prices, it wasn't bad at all. Usually, work takes us in that Orlando area once a year. We'll definitely be back!

After looking at reviews on Yelp, we decided to check out Alma Llanera in St Pete. We made the drive and were welcomed when we walked in. They have a great overall selection on their menu, a variety of authentic Venezuelan dishes you can dig in to. Really, we were craving empanadas - but we are eager to try more dishes next time. We ordered three carne mechada empanadas (shredded beef hand pies), one cheese empanada, and two mora natural juices. Each orderaccompanied with a side of their house sauces that compliment the natural on-going flavors of the empanda - a creamy, white garlic sauce (salsa de ajo) and a cilantro based sauce (salsa de cilantro). The moment you sink you teeth into their empanadas, you're brought to a whole new world - A country called Venezuela! You are instantly met were explosive delicious flavors. The outter shell of the empanada has this savory, with a slight hint of sweet flavor. The inner part is stuffed with tender, satuéed shredded beef, you can taste the amazing flavors of the sofrito based meat. I would recommend anyone, someone who has yet to try this place to someone who eats empanadas on a daily basis, to come on and give them a whirl. It's a must try!
