UPDATE: It's only been 4 days and already look like this. Horrible service!
    Sandy H.

Sister day, 2 pedi and 1 manicure. Ju or June, this manicure lady suck so bad. She rushed our service assuming she wanted to take next customer who is white. We had appointments scheduled. My sister got dip powder but was not advised to wash hands before dipping fingers into powder, didn't cut cuticles and powder all still under nail once finished. My sis being the nice person she is didn't want to say anything. The lady who was doing my pedi recognized that we weren't happy and asked. They told Ju to come and fix but we declined cuz she was petty and became rude. No tip was left. DONT RECOMMEND for people of color.

Absolutely amazing customer service. Posh facility. BEAUTIFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP. Mindy is a true artists and she takes her work seriously. She is a perfectionist. They are also taking Covid seriously by taking safety precautions. Customers are spaced out and there is a plexiglass shield in between the artist and the client. You will be very safe and well taken care of if you come here.

Wow! I have been to many Saint Paul salons and I will be returning to Tu Nails for a variety of reasons. First, there is a spacious parking lot making step one of arriving be a breeze. Secondly, the interior embodies a spa with soft, gentle running water and I was able to pop in on a Sunday with no appointment scheduled. The staff was quick to greet me with zero waiting. My nail technician, Tan, did an extraordinary job. As this was my first visit, he offered me the brochure of pedicure options while the water was was getting up to temperature. I selected the $55 hot stone pedicure with the matcha lemongrass scent - highly recommend this! I had hot towels placed on my calves, a perfect massage, had a say in the package I selected along with the shape of my nails and overall was relaxed the entire time of service. There is a 20% off coupon if you check-in and I didn't check in until I left so I will use it on my next visit. They now offer Venmo as a payment option which I would like to call out since other reviews indicate that the staff pushed for cash. This was not the case at all in my experience and they do have an ATM on-site if this is your preference. Thank you, Tu Nails - exactly what I needed today to find my zen moment.

Super expensive prices. I paid $55 for a full set with acrylic and gel polish. They changed me $5 for coffin shape and $10 to cut my cuticles. $70 total!!! I'm used to paying 25 plus 10 for gel polish. My sister was charged $75 for the acrylic and gel polish. She got pointy almond shape that were slightly longer than mine. These are New York prices! The craftsmanship is alright. But I definitely will not be returning to be price gouged.

So, don't laugh at me because my fingers are sooo swollen and fat, but at least my polish looks good!! We stopped close by here to grab breakfast, and then decided to get our nails done! The interior is so lovely, and we were the first ones in, so no wait! Everybody was very friendly, and we were immediately offered cold drinks. I got a burgundy matte, and I'm super happy with my nails! They came out lovely, and it was a really fast appointment. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area :,)

For starters, I usually have very long nails and I'm so very extra. I always go somewhere in Brooklyn park to get them done because that's where I've found the best service for all my needs. When I walked in, I got a discount for checking in with yelp, which was very nice! And the inside was so beautiful and calming. The whole time I was there, it was just me and my friend and one more person came. They fixed one nail. My pinky nail. It broke. The next day. On top of that, they had NOTHING but polish. No diamonds, no flowers, no flakes, I don't even think they had glitter. And then, I asked for a mat top coat, and she agreed but when she was putting the polish over top she told me they didn't have any left for my nail length, which made me laugh cause it was just "no, no, no" Although, It was the cheapest I've ever paid for my nails. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you only want polish.

So I normally get really good manicures here and I love the environment. However, I went in asking for a new full set and they told me I only needed a fill. My nails were pretty grown out underneath and were already slightly separated from the acrylic. I trusted that they knew but they still said the acrylic underneath looked strange (I had gotten a manicure in a different country). 6 hours after my manicure, my nail broke off. I'm just disappointed that I have to go back and have it fixed when I asked for a full set, was told I didn't need one, and clearly I did. Update: I went back to get my nail fixed. They wanted to charge me $5 to fix the nail even though it happened HOURS after I got them done. Two days after I got this nail fixed, another nail broke off. I couldn't be more disappointed.

I was a walk in and they started right away, my worker was very gentle and a perfectionist. It took over an hour and costed 90$ not including the tip. It is almost exactly like the picture I showed them :). They're very good just expensive.

Walked in after work around 3:15 and was greeted promptly, sat in a large, luxurious massage chair, and enjoyed two hours of relaxing and immaculate work on my feet and hands. Kim was a doll, very sweet and detail-oriented. Gave a great arm massage during my pedicure and after my mani! Hot stone massage on my legs was heavenly. My gel polish looks perfect, I kid you not. I hadn't gotten my nails done in over 5 years and figured I'd get a basic mani/pedi, but there is a menu of different scent types for the pedicure that apparently includes a lot more services than I thought. Total was $100 plus tip, well worth it considering the quality of my nails and all of the services included. My time at Tu Nails today blew all of my other nail experiences out of the water.

It was good. Staff was kind and friendly. I just got the general mani and pedi combo and it was a job well done. I would go here again.

And my hands look wonderful. I research Yelp very thoroughly reading as many reviews as possible. This takes days. I selected Will and found his work to be IMPECCABLE, extremely meticulous, top top quality, strong and they lasted 5 -6 weeks before one loosened. He has many many years of experience. A four star rating instead of a much deserved 5 star is because of only 2 factors: the liquid compound he uses to mix with the acrylic powder, and the final finishing "sanding smoothing" step of the new acrylic nail . My dad was a Prof of Biochemistry so I am very aware of chemicals. Will unfortunately uses an unusually strong smelling chemical needed to bond the acrylic powder. I have asthma too and could not tolerate the pungency of this chemical. Then in the final filing/ smoothing of the newly bonded acrylic he uses his tiny electric sander which creates a very fine granular dust which bothered my eyes and caused me to cough. My former acrylic nail beautician in Florida did this sanding via hand. This manual process greatly decreases the high volume of dust. I can not ask Will to use a less toxic pungent chemical nor switch to manual sanding. So sadly I must find someone else. He is an EXTREMELY good artisan and craftsman and gave me BEAUTIFUL nails!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other customers should know about my experience…read more On May 31 7:43 PM, Highland Spa Nails texted me asking for feedback about my appointment. The very next day, June 1, I responded with detailed concerns about both my pedicure and full set. I explained that I paid for the upgraded pedicure package, but the water was FREEZING cold, the "extended massage" was practically nonexistent, my calluses were barely addressed, and the overall pedicure felt rushed and incomplete. It was HORRIBLE. I also explained that my nails were crooked, extremely thick, uneven in length, pointed outward, had acrylic buildup around the cuticles, and looked poorly shaped overall. I was disappointed because I spent approximately $160 and felt the quality did not reflect the price. After sending that feedback, I received no response for an entire week. When I followed up, expressing my disappointment with the lack of communication, I was suddenly told that a staff member would be contacted and would reach out to me. I agreed and waited again. Nobody contacted me. I eventually called the salon myself and was told that their guarantee only applies if issues are brought to their attention before leaving the salon or within three days. The problem with that explanation is that I DID contact them within three days--I actually responded to their feedback request the very next day, on June 1. Rather than acknowledging that I had followed their policy, I was repeatedly told, "That's all I can tell you." What makes this even more frustrating is that my appointment ended at closing time, and I felt rushed out as the staff were closing the salon. The doors had already been locked and had to be unlocked for me to leave. I wasn't standing there inspecting every toenail because I trusted that the services I paid for had been completed properly, even though. I may not have gotten the massage I wanted. The quality of the work was disappointing, but the customer service afterward was worse. I made multiple attempts to resolve this privately before posting a review. I have screenshots of the feedback request, my response on June 1, the follow-up messages, and the later conversation where I was told staff would contact me. I understand that mistakes happen. What I don't understand is asking customers for feedback, ignoring that feedback when it's negative, and then later refusing to address the issue by citing a deadline that the customer actually met. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on either the quality of the service or the way my concerns were handled afterward.

I did rounded nails, and somehow some nails were sharp around the edges and underneath, and some of my black french tip were painted unevenly and i left with nail polish on my finger. I had to unfortunately push my review down to one star. There were issues I had originally ignored as I was excited to come in and get my nails done after about 3 years of not doing so and for my birthday dinner later on. I ran into issues like my original tech not showing at my allotted time for my full set after my pedicure was done, and being charged the wrong amount and my husband hearing the staff say I was charged the wrong amount. I had waited a long time for each of my appointments to start also. I ended up having to remove these nails after the given 2 week "fill" time period and ended up discovering that the acrylic used had come off with an acetone soak in a gummy state and realized MMA was used on my nails. It was extremely difficult to remove, time consuming and very painful, and I'm not really wanting to go back to this salon now. I also recall during my appointment, sitting next to clients who notified their techs that they had issues removing their previous sets. I will say their receptionist is a sweetheart who did handle the charging and no-show of my tech wonderfully and apologized, and they were super attentive to us, so this is not on them. I do not know who supplies the original kits for the techs, but MMA should never be used on our nails.
