I originally rated them 5 stars but my nails were uneven, chipped within a week and also were weirdly filed. Some parts of my nail weren't even fully painted. I did rounded nails, and somehow some nails were sharp around the edges and underneath, and some of my black french tip were painted unevenly and i left with nail polish on my finger. I had to unfortunately push my review down to one star. There were issues I had originally ignored as I was excited to come in and get my nails done after about 3 years of not doing so and for my birthday dinner later on. I ran into issues like my original tech not showing at my allotted time for my full set after my pedicure was done, and being charged the wrong amount and my husband hearing the staff say I was charged the wrong amount. I had waited a long time for each of my appointments to start also. I ended up having to remove these nails after the given 2 week "fill" time period and ended up discovering that the acrylic used had come off with an acetone soak in a gummy state and realized MMA was used on my nails. It was extremely difficult to remove, time consuming and very painful, and I'm not really wanting to go back to this salon now. I also recall during my appointment, sitting next to clients who notified their techs that they had issues removing their previous sets. I will say their receptionist is a sweetheart who did handle the charging and no-show of my tech wonderfully and apologized, and they were super attentive to us, so this is not on them. I do not know who supplies the original kits for the techs, but MMA should never be used on our nails. read more

At one point in time this was my go to salon, but after several issues I just had to stop going there. The first thing is the Manager, TiTi. She is literally crazy. I had a very terrible experience that included really bad pain because of how the nail tech was doing my pedicure. I loudly said ouch once then thinking it wouldn't happen again, I yelled ouch loudly a a second time. this was due to how much pressure the nail tech was using. I should have demanded to leave right then, but I felt bad and I stupidly stayed. now the manager being crazy was the final reason I won't go back. I informed her of my injured nails and how they happened to end up that way, which was at the hands of her tech. Both nail techs on either sides of my tech both looked up when I yelled ow as well as their customers. No one said anything to me from the nail salon. The manager was at the salon at this time walking around. the tech finished up my pedicure and I paid and tipped against everything in me and left. By that evening I was in so much pain in my toe, so I called and talked to TiTi the manager the next day. Her way of resolving it was to offer me a credit to come again. Thinking about these things are what me upset about this whole situation. 1. Dirty Tools are 100% NOT cleaned by each tech in between customers!!!!! I asked once about someone else's "dust" from their nail going on me and tech laughed it off! Gross!!! clue #1 2. Manager made it clear the tech did nothing wrong and that it was my toes that were wrong. WHAT?? 3. Main reason I will never ever go back - after telling Manager I would not be visiting this salon again and would just like my money back. Refund that's it. Tech still kept the tip I should have never given. She (TiTi) treated me and talked to me like I was garbage or less than garbage once I asked for just a refund. Her demeanor completely changed and now she was just mean and crazy! I was told finally to come in to the salon - that's the only way we can refund you. which is not true. Upon standing at the front desk while completely keeping. My mouth shut I stood there, smiled, got out my credit card, handed it to her and then she made a phone call that she stayed on the entire time of this interaction. She kept telling me - I do not give refunds. I never do this. I just smiled and waited. She then comes around the desk and insists that I take my shoes and socks off and show her my toes. I said "No, I will not, I have to go run to the bank". She says, oh you have to run? I thought you could hardly walk. I said, what???? Then I realized between the language barrier she was asking me to show her my bare foot. I said no. She was not happy! She glared at me while she was still on the phone and still glaring at me while she processed the transaction. I didn't back down though!!! I should have prefaced this entire story by saying I have never left a review of any kind on Yelp or anywhere. This is my first. Sorry so long. Didn't want to leave anything out. This is my two cents. 1. Mean, crazy manager TiTi 2. Not clean tools that they're using 3. manage doesn't give customer even the slightest bit of understanding after being physically injured with major pain during just a pedicure! Anytime I need a luxurious pedicure I come to Serenity, my mom introduced me to this salon when I first moved to town a couple of years ago. Anytime I need a great pedicure where they do a stellar job with clean up and attention to detail I come to this salon. I just recently got some color for the first time and it was so subtle and pink it looked like my natural color, my nail tech got it completely right as far as the color choice and I was really pleased with the color on both my nails and my toenails. I have been coming here for over 10 years and had a terrible experience three weeks ago that has changed everything. The final product of my nails was burgundy around the edges, my nails were all different lengths and my cuticles were bleeding!! I told the lady who was doing my nails that it hurt. I waited the evening to see if my nails improved and they didn't, they got worse. I had small open cuts around my fingers which hurt. 2 days later I went back to the salon in hopes that we could work something out as I have been a loyal customer and the quality had not aligned with what was expected for the service. I went back into the salon where the manager shamed and gaslit me in front of the entire salon. Telling me that my cuticles were cut as they were so that nail polish would cover my entire nail. And that with darker colors it will always be darker around the sides. She then went on to tell me that getting your nails done isn't like going to buy a clothing item where you can return it since someone has put time and effort in doing my nails. It was a TERRIBLE experience. I shared my experience on Instagram where several people commented back to me saying that the service at Serenity has gone down hill. I had never been to this nail salon before and I had an amazing experience. I went with a few friends and we all got pedicures, they look great and the workers were so kind and helpful. The woman doing my pedicure asked me a few times to make sure I was doing good and that the water or towels weren't too hot which was really nice. This place is for sure one of my favorite places when it comes to getting a little pampering. The pricing is awesome, and you can walk-in as well as make appointments. They were one of the nicer and cleaner Salons even before COVID. The precautions they use to keep everyone safe is beyond compare. You call when you enter if you are using the back door, I don't know about the front. You wash your hands immediately after entering. You check in, and they ask you to sit somewhere. The seating placement is at least 6ft apart. Customers are wearing masks, and staff are wearing masks and gloves. As soon as you are completed you see them cleaning thoroughly the space that was just occupied. I'm a creature of habit, so when I first started going here I would like to request the same person, however they don't always allow that. I had to see someone else on more then one occasion, but that wasn't a problem. The techs are equally friendly, competent, and great at their jobs. The reason I am only giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that I haven't gotten a pedicure here yet, and so I personally can't say they are the best of the best. I still have a place that I prefer to go to if I'm getting a Pedi. No fault of theirs, just my own preference. If that changes, I know I will try here first and possibly update my review. read more

I have (had) been a good client for at least 5 years. I appreciate how hard they work having to move from one client to another. Over the past year the quality of the work has fallen off. I came in yesterday to get my nails done for a wedding. I got acrylics full set but the nail techs pushed me to do dip powder. I wanted a simple ombré from pink to white with chrome. If she didn't know how to do it properly she should have told me. The results were thick and crooked. I asked her to fix the thickness and she had to start over shaving and removing the dip powder. Then she just dipped my fingers once in a pink powder and put chrome on top which is not what I wanted. She then proceeded to tell me that since she shaved down my nail that they would most likely break. Not only that but my nail tech also filed my nails to where multiple nails were completely crooked and when I told her to fix she tried convincing me that my nail just grows crooked and there was little she can do to fix when I've got my nails down hundreds of times and obviously that was a lie. I spent 2 hours in the chair only to return the next day with a broken nail and spent almost $200 total including my regular pedi. I made a appointment for 1pm which I was told on the phone that it would be free of charge for the service. I came on time for and they had me waiting for 34 minutes only to be told they will charge me $10 for the service in a rather rude fashion. I usually don't leave reviews however this is the worst salon I've ever been to and overpriced. read more

Serenity is a huge salon. You walk in and there are pedicure stations lining each wall with manicure stations down the middle. Once you check-in they hand you a slip and wait for a tech to be available. It probably took less than five minutes before I say down and they were very busy! I was here for a bridal party so we had our own polish the bride wanted but it was easy to have them use it. May did my nails and she was great. Seriously the fastest manicure I've ever had but without losing any quality. It probably took about 15-20 minutes and I was out of the chair and under the nail dryer. Nail were done on Friday and they're still looking great. I work with books and a lot of paper so to have my manicure only slightly chipping (mainly from my doing) is fantastic! So, I decided to try Serenity nails. First, the place was HUGE - the appearance of the front is deceiving. It's actually huge inside. However, this is like the Walmart-factory of pedicures. They churn people out so quickly, it wasn't personable at all and the pedicure sucked. I've been on the hunt for a good nail salon for 6 months and I thought Serenity was going to be the one. Unfortunately, I got a brutal nail infection after my nail tech butchered my cuticles. I asked her to take it easy and not to trim the cuticles at the base of my nail, just the sides, but it didn't help. My pedicure was nice, but the cuticle work was so aggressive I couldn't relax. It's too bad because I liked the salon and they had a ton of gel and dip colors to choose from. If you go, just ask for them to push your cuticles instead of trim them. read more

LENA! LENA! LENA! She is the ONLY person I want to do my nails. It's took me months to find a tech I like and I love her service!!! I always get my nails dipped and she does a fantastic job every time. She knows I have "issues" with Emory boards (I've been cut several times in the past by people who are sawing too fast and hard) so she goes very slowly and gently to make me feel more comfortable. She is incredibly meticulous and makes sure each nail looks perfect. Sometimes it takes about an hour and a half, but that's okay because they look amazing when she's done. From the outside I wouldn't have ever guess that the ambiance is as beautiful as it is inside! It really is a SPA! Service is top notch! Right when my friend and I walked in we were greeted with smiles and conversation. We initially thought we wanted gel manicures but I'm so glad the shop manager educated us about dip nails. By far the best pedicure I think I've ever gotten! I was early and waiting in the reception area, offered water numerous times, and got to my pedi chair right when my appt started. I waited there for a bit till my nail tech greeted me, asked my name and we chatted. Super friendly and very professional. I am 9 mos pregnant and thankfully have had no swelling of my feet or ankles, so I told him to go to town with the massage. He was very careful to ask if I had tender spots though, because so many pregnant ladies are sore and swollen. Amazing massage, I nearly fell asleep. I liked while he was trimming my toes and clipping cuticles, there was a little spot that became red in the corner of my toe. Was not bleeding, but asked if it was hurting before he continued. Never had anyone ask me that at a nail salon! Generally if they hurt you or you flinch, they get irritated or super annoyed. He really took his time and my nails look fantastic. The nail tech started the food bath and had me put my feet in, very hot water was coming out of the faucet and was burning my feet. when I told her she turned on the cold water and walked away. the foot bath was lukewarm at best. she then dug at the side of my big toe and it was so painful I told her to stop. she did the same thing on the other big toe. the rest of the service was done so fast! i sat in the chair letting my toes dry. she never came back to check on me so when I thought they were dry to the touch I left only to go home and find smeared nail polish. the whole thing was so rushed and terrible. mid gone with a friend and she also had terrible service. her legs were burned with hot towel. the whole thing was very disappointing. read more
