ate here with friends in july 2023. awfullll! cold food, loooooooooooooong wait outisde. wait was much nicer with my friends than the actual food was. had to ask for cold butter for cold food. 2nd time here: cold chili bowl, cold tea water, long wait for 2nd diner to get her food also cold. does tucker's not pay their electric bill? are they cooking all their food over a camp fire is that why all the food is cold? or are pancakes served on a lazy sunday morning, much better served up cold with frozen, plasticized blocks of butter? than it is served hot? i have to wonder about this? read more

Eggs Benny. The worst I've ever had and that's my go to breakfast. Eggs hard no run at all. Very strong after taste from the ham they call Canadian bacon. Had to take the ham off just to eat the eggs and English muffin. The hash browns Tasted like they were cooked in old oil or something with a strong aftertaste. I won't be back. In response to tuckers response. The waitress didn't ask how my meal was. I was hoping she would get the hint and ask when she took my meal with a full plate of Ham and hash browns on it while the rest of the family was still eating. Typically that's a good hint to ask the customer if everything was ok. About 20 minutes later another waitress or manager came over and asked how everything was and that's when I let her know. She said " I wish you told me I could have taken it off the Bill " I had not paid at that point and reached for my credit card at that point she realized I didn't pay and said, let me take that and I'll take it off for you. Ok that sounds great I said. She came back with the revised bill and said I took you coffee and soda water off the Bill. I'm like, ok, the coffee and soda water was fine it's the eggs Benny that was aweful. So over all just a weird experience. She understood the meal was aweful , she took the bill to take my meal off and comes back with the 2 drinks removed. Great understanding and customer service. BTW. The wife's poached eggs were solid and had no run to them either, but that's fine as she didn't make a bug deal about it and was able to finish her meal. So to sum it up. 2 meals that the customers are not happy with and they remove a coffee and soda water after offering to remove the eggs Benny. read more

We've been back three times since I posted my original review, and I guess you could say we've become "regulars"! The service is great, the menu is full of great choices, and my only complaint (if you can call it that,) is that the servings are very large! read more

Wanted to try Tucker's during a busy holiday shopping weekend trip. We went in about 1:55 pm, not aware that their hours are 7-2. We were haughtily informed by the hostess that they close at 2. Our bad for sure, but you don't have to be a witch about it and chase us out! We won't be back. Applebee's is right next door. read more

We went on Sunday for Mother's Day, knowing there was a modified menu was fine. No substitutions etc, ok make sense. However I have a lot of food allergies and Tuckers was one of the few places that would at least keep the allergen off my plate. I was told that couldnt happen. There on Moms Day I ended up having to order something I really didnt want or enjoy. I have tried reaching out thru their email and social media and no response. So if you have food allergies and go on days they have a limited menu just be prepared to order something you may not want or even like. So disappointed in their lack of contact to resolve this. read more

Our family LOVES going to Tucker's. We like to try new breakfast and brunch spots but we often come back here. Is there usually a wait on weekends? Sure, but who doesn't have one? You can grab some coffee while you wait and this place has different mugs for different types of coffee. Brilliant! Take it with to the table and the server knows what to refill. As someone who doesn't consume a lot of gluten, it's hard to find good spots with gluten free offerings for breakfast. This places nails it. Their menu full of variety and they often have specials. Went here for breakfast. On the positive side it was one of the few restaurants offering dine-in eating on the morning we were searching for a breakfast spot. The experience was okay, but not great. When we initially came in they weren't that busy, but that changed over our stay. The menu seems creative, my issue was with execution. Our coffee was served with a tiny cup of cream for the three of us at the table. Main issue was the food arrived cold. The butter wasn't melted on the pre-buttered toast. It has been a while since my last Visit at Tucker's. This place is rocking and always filled. I am so impressing how well it is organized. If you want to avoid long wait times, call in and get on the wait list. You will get a text message and thanks to Yelp, you will be given a check in time and follow a live listing providing you an update of your position in line. In our case, we called in, where added to the list, showed up in time and were seated within 2 minutes.....We loved it. Tucker's offers a wide variety of breakfast/brunch options that can be customized to your taste. It is up to you if you want to go for a small breakfast or go for a fully loaded brunch/lunch plate. The staff is paying a lot of attention making sure all is to your satisfaction without being too pushy. At this point thanks to Molly, she did a fabulous job for us. I cannot talk for all dished but I certainly know the Meat Lover Skillet and the Sunrise on the menu were delicious. Great coffee and perfectly cooked and prepared dishes. The place closes at 2:00pm, so don't be too late In case you don't feel like going and sitting down, call in and order takeout. Food is prepared and ready to go when you arrive in time. All in all, another great experience at Tucker's. The place will stay on top of my list of my breakfast and brunch places. read more

Went back for breakfast with my kids. Checked in via phone was told 30min wait. We got there, checked in and was told longer. As we watched people get seated who showed up before us we were told our wait was another hour and half. They really need to fix their check in system. The food was good once we got in. read more

My husband and I got here often and our faves are the Rancheros, the Sunrise, the Farmhouse and the Kevin. But honestly, we've never had anything here that wasn't good. My brother and I just moved to this area so we've been trying out the different breakfast places, today we tried out Tuckers and it was great, we had the Irish Benny, the Sausage Benny and the Meat Lovers Skillet, Irish Benny was a 9 out of 10, Sausage Benny was 8 out of 10 (It was her first Eggs Benny so take that into account), the Skillet got an 8 as well. Customer service was good and we made a reservation with yelp so that we wouldn't run into the wait time issue that it seems a few people have run into during these covid times, altogether good experience read more

My husband and I went to breakfast at Tucker's this morning. I had gluten-free French toast and bacon. The bacon was so hard I could not chew it. I choked on a piece of bacon and had to rush into the ladies room since it was lodged in my throat. I was in the ladies room for 10 minutes trying to dislodge the bacon. No one approached me. Finally my husband found someone to open the door and called in to me. When I returned to our table, our waiter ignored us until it was time for a check. As we left the restaurant, I found the manager who listened to my tale, apologized that she was unaware of my dilemma and told me "Israel was a good server". She asked if we had paid with a credit card (I guess you get better service that way) we had paid in cash, so she gave me a comp card for $5.00 for another visit. I will never step into a restaurant that has no common decency again. read more

This is a nice new breakfast place in Dover. I ordered an egg skillet with guacamole, pick, and chorizo. Our server was friendly. The place was packed at noon on Sunday but we only waited 15 minutes to be seated. Our server initially forgot to input our order but another server came over and apologized and said she had gone and requested they make it on the fly. She was very apologetic. Ultimately, we didn't end up waiting all that long and we really appreciated the honesty! The coffee wasn't bad but a little weak. I'd recommend brewing at 1.5x strength. The thick cut rye bread toast and grilled banana bread were both awesome. The skillet was advertised as coming with three eggs but only came with two. It was also not super hot when it came out but the flavor was great and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I would recommend serving the guacamole and pico in side cups to help keep the temperature more consistent. Overall it was a good experience. A few easy little kinks to work out and it could be great. read more

Loved the menu choices, decent prices, and the bathrooms were immaculate, which is always a plus for me when eating out, because to me that means their kitchen is clean too. We were greeted by a friendly host, and were sat immediately. We have three children with special needs, and the waitress was so sweet and accommodating. Over all we had a really great experience. My sons had the mango smoothies and they were made perfectly. Our food came out piping hot, and everything tasted SO good !! We will be back. read more

I've gone here 2 times with family. I'm vegan, so eating out can be hard. Both times we had very friendly servers, love the green walls and the earthy feel of the place! Both times I've unfortunately gone home sick. I make sure to tell the waiters that I'm vegan and cannot tolerate dairy specifically. Yet both times I get home and it's quite evident there was dairy in what I consumed. If you do not have any dietary restrictions I highly recommend them! Super nice people! I was excited to see that Tucker's was going to be opening in the old Pizzeria Uno building. I had a great breakfast at their New London location, and the breakfast scene in Dover/Somersworth definitely needed a shot in the arm. We made it over there this morning and were very happy with the experience. We were seated quickly in the large, bright and airy dining room. Very good! It was super crowded when we went on a Monday afternoon, but we were seated rather quickly and with a party of 8 I might add. Menu is vast and there were too many choices that sounds appealing which makes me want to return. The service took a bit longer than I hoped, I know they were busy but it was close to 50min before our food came out. Definitely a place to try if you're in the Dover area. I got a caramel apple french toast and my mother got a breakfast special, they were both very good. I've eaten here several times since this location opened a few months ago, and I've never been disappointed. My only complaint is that they're ALWAYS so busy and sometimes the wait is a bit much, but the food is worth it, so just make sure to go when you have the time to wait half an hour or so for a table. I have yet to try something I didn't like here, but my favorite dish is the sausage benedict. The eggs are fresh and almost everything on the menu is sourced from local farms. They serve iced coffee, which is a must for me, and they even have an Irish cream flavor option, which I appreciate since Aroma Joe's is about the only other place around that ever has it. The service is friendly and the staff are attentive. It was a bit slower than usual yesterday, but I'm definitely willing to wait for food this good. read more
