Dinner Special $13.99 includes 1 fish, 3 onion rings, 3 lumpia, 3 zucchini, chips and soda

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was cute and clean in a strip mall location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Orders are placed at the counter and brought to your table. They have about 30 types of sushi that looked good but we were in the mood for fish and chips. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are enormous. The fish pieces were about a foot long. The tempura style coating on the fish and veggies was perfectly crispy. The lumpia was excellent. The chips were a big disappointment because they were just frozen crinkle cut fries. Our other criticism is there did not seem to be any salt on anything. I deducted a star because of the chips and lack of salt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Next time we will just order the veggie combo and a couple of pieces of fish on the side.

Best fish & chips in the area! Fish & chips and sushi bar. Wide variety of sushi and rolls. Lumpia is available too. Clean and Comfortable. New comfortable banquettes. Well appointed and tastefully decorated. Homemade tartar sauce. Great quality food! Generous portions of fish! Well fried and crispy! Not the least bit greasy! Great calming background music. Friendly, courteous, welcoming, and smiling staff. Each individual order freshly fried at the moment of ordering. Malt vinegar and lemon slices available. My new go-to place for fish & chips!

    Crispy fish and chips!

The owners are so kind AND the food is delicious! I mean, everything fried is good rightHubs and I enjoyed the Tugboat, 6 pieces of fish with chips and a side of ginormous fried mushrooms! They bring all the fresh sauce directly from the fridge to your table. The fish is a generous portion and nice and CRISPY. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Now, it's nap time

What a fantastic find! I just had my first meal at **Tug Boat F&C in Lincoln, CA**, and I'm absolutely thrilled. With sushi rolls ranging from just $9 to $15, it's an incredible bargain. We decided on the $11.99 special, and it was pure perfection! It came with one piece of fish, three potstickers (or lumpia!), three zucchini, three onion rings, and even a soda. Every bite was **crispy, light, and wonderfully fresh**. You could tell the oil was perfect--no old or reused taste at all. This place truly won't disappoint! Just remember they're closed on Sundays and Mondays. I can't wait to go back! Yummy Yummy Roll, Lumpia, hushpuppies
    Amber M.

Stopped by Tugboats for lunch today and really enjoyed it! You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table, which came out super fast. I got the Yummy Yummy Roll, hushpuppies, and lumpia--all were fresh and really good. The malt vinegar on the table goes perfectly with the hushpuppies, and the lumpia comes with a sweet and sour sauce that was great. Everyone working was super friendly and helpful. They've got a big menu with lots of appetizers, sushi, and fish options to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is cute too, with fun wall decorations that make it feel cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only downside is the parking lot--it's pretty small and can be tough to get in and out of when it's busy. But overall, definitely a solid spot for lunch!

I've been going for month, up to a year. I love their sushi. Dynamite (spicy) on the left and Flying Tiger (lemon) on the right. The fish and chips are good too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area is relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The parking lot is small but worth if you can get in or take to go.

this place is a gem! I haven't been here in a while, but I was nearby and had a craving so I stopped in. I'm so glad I did because I was hungry when I ordered hit the spot. They are so nice here service is always done with a smile and done quickly. There is Apple seating inside, which is very roomy and comfortable. I will definitely be back more often.

Simple, yet satisfying. In the words of Pumba. All smiles. Ordered a Seafood Sampler 2 Fish Combo "Dragon" Roll The fact that they serve sushi and it's small and quaint. Plus the staff keep to themselves and are super attentive. This cozy joint is a decent place to just partake a simple meal. The sushi rolls are portioned just right. Thank you kindly for the meal

Small dinning room, but clean. Great fish & chips. Also freshly made to order sushi. Hidden gem in plain sight.

(Yes I hope he reads this lmao) Both times I have visited, the staff has been incredibly pleasant and personable. The food is absolutely chef's kiss. I love the Classico Tostada with shrimp. The chili oil adds the perfect touch. I also tried the ensalada de elote and it was delicious. It was surprisingly filling and satisfying all on its own. The cocktails are unique, which I really appreciate. I have tried several now and every one of them has been excellent. The Lincoln location is small and intimate. I have not visited the Midtown location yet, but since I live in Sacramento I will definitely make it there at some point.

It's a very modern, small restaurant, and the bar seating is definitely the focal point of the space, though the overall vibe felt a little cold with minimal decoration. I'd love to come back to try their full omakase experience eventually, but the service was a real letdown. Even though we were the only two people in the restaurant most of the time, we felt like an inconvenience. At one point, I said out loud that we were ready to order; the staff including our waitress stopped for a second, looked at us, and then just went back to what they were doing without acknowledging us. It was as if we were on her time, and she was making it clear that she would get to us when she felt like it, not when we were ready. The wait for food was also way too long. Despite being the only ones there, I waited about 40 minutes for my ceviche mixto bowl ($22). For a raw dish that requires no actual cooking, that kind of delay in such a small space is hard to justify. We also had the broiled oysters ($15) and oyster shooters ($5), which were solid. I noticed the drink menu didn't have many sweet cocktail options, so I asked if they could make me a lemon drop instead; and they granted the request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The food and drinks are great, but the service and kitchen speed really need to be more attentive to match the quality of the menu.

Sadly she never introduced herself so I can't give her the kudos she deserves. Started out with warm bread and garlicky soft butter. They serve it with the knife stabbed through the center of the bread - by the time you pull the big knife out, there is not much center left to spread the butter on. I figured out how to slather it in butter anyways. The garlic butter is something I could eat on everything! Dinner: We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday. There were plenty of people there, but we were able to be seated right away. We ordered the pollo piccata - it was delicious, the sauce was creamy, the perfect amount of lemony, and the capers weren't too salty. The creamy potatoes were great and the veggies cooked perfectly. The balsamic ribeye - eh not our thing. Mid at best for us. It was tender, but it had so much liquid it didn't have much flavor and tasted like it was boiled. Still giving 5 stars overall because maybe that's the way it's supposed to be. Dessert: Chocolate lava cake - ours was extinct. There was NO LAVA! Just a very dense very chocolaty cake. Did I still eat it?? Yes!! Chocolate is chocolate. But if you are going to say lava I expect some lava! Drink: Josh Cab, always a hit. Strawberry Minefield (I think) dangerous! It tasted like a melted sorbet in the best way possible. I need a bottle of that stuff. Will we be back? 100% Next time we will try the lasagna

Q1227 easily became one of my favorite dining experiences in Sacramento…read more We started with the lobster bites and broccolini. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

When we arrived on a Monday, the restaurant wasn't crowded, so we expected attentive service. We were seated, our server came over for drinks, and we let him know we were celebrating my aunt's birthday. This restaurant usually has a nice way of acknowledging birthdays, so we were looking forward to that, but it never happened. We ordered the lobster bites, and they were outstanding as always. My mom, who is allergic to seafood, started feeling a little nauseous from the smell and asked our server for some lemons. He walked away, and we never saw him again. After waiting for quite a while, we asked another server, who brought them over immediately. Our salads and soup were delivered by a food runner, and once again, our server was nowhere to be found. I eventually had to flag down the manager just to have our appetizer and soup plates cleared from the table. Our entrees arrived, the server asked how everything was, and then disappeared again. The next time we saw him was when he dropped off the check. What made it even more frustrating was watching him repeatedly check on, laugh with, and chat with the table behind us while barely acknowledging ours. We completely understand that restaurants get busy and servers can get overwhelmed, but that didn't seem to be the case here. For a $300 dinner for four people at an upscale restaurant, I expected a much higher level of service. The manager did remove our desserts from the bill, and I appreciate that gesture, but I honestly felt more should have been done once it was clear how neglected our table had been. The biggest disappointment is that the food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was delicious, which made the lack of service stand out even more. This has always been one of my favorite locations, so I truly hope this was just an off night. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and didn't reflect the level of service I've come to expect from this restaurant.

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

Since every state in Mexico cooks staples differently we were curious to try Oaxacan Cuisine. The restaurant feels like a restaurant in Mexico, we sat in the second back room and we felt like we were transported to a restaurant town in Mexico. The server was great, nice and friendly and the food was amazing! I ordered their Oaxacan Style Ceviche and it was so good! It came out in a molcajete style plate, and it looked small, however it wasn't, the portion was generous! Our family member ordered the pozole and they shared it was also delicious. (We didn't try it because we don't eat poultry but it smelled so good). Overall great stop, and we will be stopping by when we're back in the Rocklin area.

I ordered from their Mezcalito Specials menu (green) and chose the Baja Fish Tacos ($18). I like the part that it came with rice and black beans. It included two fish tacos. Since I couldn't decide between grilled or fried I got one of each. The fish were beer battered with cabbage, mango, pico, avocado | opted out of the cilantro and onion | Chipotle Aioli on the side just in case I found it too spicy for my taste. It turned out that it added to wonderful flavors on the tacos. Unfortunately, the chips and salsa was not complimentary. Purchase separately. The servers were friendly and welcoming and it made for a pleasant first time experience! There are two dining sections so don't fret when you see the dining area full as you enter the restaurant. There is also a picnic bench under covered roof outside patio dining. You won't be disappointed! No wonder they are at almost perfect 5-stars in Yelp. Instagram: @mezcalitorocklin Review #4055

The customer service here is always above and beyond. No matter if it's two people, four people or twelve. They are always checking on you to see if you need more or if they can take away empty dishes. Super attentive. I have been eating here since I was 12 years old. We had a belated Mother's Day dinner here for my sister and reserved a large table for 12. When we showed up they already had complimentary waters served for us. They are so kind and patient with the toddlers and babies in our family. The portions are always generous here and I have never been disappointed with the quality. Our regular platters to order are the Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Prawns. This time my brother ordered Pot Stickers and I really enjoyed those a lot!! If you are ever close to Lincoln, CA and want to try delicious Chinese Cuisine I promise you this is the place. Clean establishment with plenty more options than I shared. Delightful staff and good vibes.

But yesterday, everything was different. The crunch was gone, and what batter there was had no flavor or crunchy texture. Half the chicken had no batter at all. The sauce was sour, and the spicy kick I loved was gone. The dark brown coloring with that lovely hint of caramel was replaced with a rusty reddish orange sauce. I ordered takeout, and I decided to eat a portion in my car before driving home. I tried, I really did. After a few bites, I closed the container and drove home, and immediately tossed it into the trash. I understand that many restaurants are trying to hang on in this economy. Maybe Lincoln Chinese tried some less expensive ingredients instead of raising prices. I'm here to say, I'd happily pay more for the version that has been my signature order for many years. No other restaurant could top your former General Chicken. PLEASE bring it back! So disappointed.

The restaurant is big and decorated beautifully. It really adds to the whole experience. We all looked at the menu and decided we would have pot stickers, asparagus beef, honey walnut shrimp, general chicken and pork chow mien. The food came out piping hot, a couple dishes at a time, starting with the Pot Stickers. Everything was absolutely delicious and having ordered "mild" general chicken, my wife was able to enjoy it tremendously. All the staff are friendly and have a great sense of humor. My wife had some kind of coupon on her rewards card which she should've printed out before getting to the restaurant, but the waitress let her step out of the restaurant to print it up, saving us $17!! This is quickly becoming my favorite Chinese Food in a 50-mile radius.

Ambience is nice and good for groups as everything is family style. Expect avg $25 per entree that will feed 3-4 depending how many you get. We ordered 4: salt and pepper chicken wings which I recommend, pork fried rice, half a duck, and beef with green beans for 2 people. There was leftovers. One less entree we probably could have finished it all. My total came to 72 no drinks and a $17 credit for being a rewards member. The rest i paid using my comps. Food was generally good but I have had better for less. Service was actually better this time and came by enough where I wasn't looking around for help. I say it's worth a try! Even with my comps, I probably only come twice a year? Highly recommend getting reservations especially on weekend nights because they are fully booked and will not take walk-ins or to go orders.
