It's conveniently located from the hotel. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. This restaurant still has that old time mom and pop Asian family feel it's a definite classic type vibe with an older Chinese up front taking orders and the rest of the family in the back cooking and putting to go orders together. I've been there many times i've enjoyed Pod stickers, Hot and sour soup, wonton soup as Appetizers And a large war wonton soup Mongolian beef, Mushu shrimp mushu pork, Sesame chicken, curry chicken and Singapore noodles my favorite for dinner. It's about being realistic this is not a mall based restaurant or a high end bistro somewhere. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. I always like to support a local family owned business. It's good value for the money. With great food excellent service and a nice atmosphere. I am sure I will back next winter.

My husband and I are regulars here. They offer wonderful dishes with terrific flavors and ingredients. It's a great place to either eat in or take out. The service is always friendly. Go China Valley!

Had dinner here for the first time and will definitely be going back. Clean, quiet (I think they do more takeout then sit in), the waitress staff were friendly, attentive, and very nice. The food.... excellent. Best Chinese that we've found so far in the Tucson area. I had the Broccoli in Hot Garlic Sauce. Spicy, broccoli was fresh and crisply sauteed. Hubby had the Happy Family that consisted of chicken, shrimp, imitation crab meat, and vegetables in a cream sauce. He enjoyed it...items were fresh and the sauce was good without being overpowering. Prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Give them a try!

The dish that used to be my go to was the ginger chicken, but the chicken quality is noticeably less tender, on the stringy side. So I switched to order other dishes like their tofu dishes or an occasional Mongolian meat dish. Again, the meat & sauce similarities (hard to tell them apart) are noticeable. It's still a decent place for a fast meal or easy takeout but I find myself looking elsewhere for Chinese food. Their fried rice was always basic, but now it's like it got hit with some soy sauce & little else Prices have gotten a bit higher (like they do :) though they're still cheaper than many) but quality has gone down a notch or more. Not saying I'll never be back, but it's not on my bi weekly dont wanna cook lets eat out rotation. Oh well.

Service was attentive and everyone inside was incredibly kind and respectful. Ordered Crab Rangoons and Beef Chow Fun, a couple of staples of mine trying new Chinese restaurants. Rangoons were perfectly crispy, while the chow fun had a delicious wok hei flavor. The noodles and beef were tender and the dish had plenty of onions/green onions/etc. The only thing I didn't care for - and this is a personal preference - is that the chow fun did have a little more star anise/five spice flavor than I care for. Mexican food was going to be too heavy so I opted for a healthier choice. I searched Yelp and I discovered this place. I arrived too early, about an hour early; so I went to Starbucks across the street. After babysitting my coffee for about an hour, I cruised back to Linh Nam's! Of course I was the first customer. A very nice lady seated me with a menu. I browsed the menu searching for something light and something that wouldn't bog me down on my bike ride. I ended up ordering Shrimp and vegetables with fried rice, egg roll, and Hot & Sour Soup. When the server placed the plate in front of me, I was surprised how full the plate was. The food was excellent! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were crisp and flavorful. Even the fried rice was delicious as a lot of Chinese restaurants serve meh fried rice. Surprisingly bad. I ordered the chicken and pineapple fried rice and a spicy tuna roll…read more Both were the worst I've had. The spicy tuna roll was especially strange - it had no flavor. I didn't know what I was eating. Eventually I could pick up some spiciness, but it was subtle. It was so bland and mushy, I wasn't even sure I was eating tuna. At one point I pulled a piece of the roll apart to take a closer look. I couldn't tell if it was tuna or not - I assume they use some kind of filler ingredients in addition to tuna (maybe that's normal for spicy tuna rolls, but they normally taste much better than this). The fried rice was the worst I've had, though still edible. The pineapple was strange in that it didn't taste like pineapple - I guess it wasn't ripe yet. So no pineapple flavor in the pineapple fried rice. Beyond that, the dish was bland. The unfortunate reality is that Tucson has low standards for Asian food, and shockingly bad places can stick around for years. Some of you remember Yokohama Rice Bowl, a local fast food chain, which was awful, and immediately displaced when Panda Express arrived, which is 10x better... It's too bad that Ni's isn't trying to do something great.
