The Tumaca Truck serves Barcelona style cuisine from a truck the roves around Los Angeles. Lately, the Tumaca Truck has been rolling up to Silverlake Wine in Silverlake on Monday evenings from 6-9PM. There are two free lots with parking for Silverlake wine, you order at the truck and they bring your food in, and there is $15 per person tasting flights with cheese, bread and brandade from Melody on Virgil. What more could an Angeleno food and wine lover ask for? Nothing. The food is made to order and takes a bit - 10 to 15 minutes - but you will not notice the time as you are sipping wine inside. The food is outstanding. The egg and chorizo sandwich ($12) is delicious. Two slices of hearty bread from Bub & Grandma's bakery sandwiches two over medium eggs, a few slices of bacon, and half a dozen thin slices of dry chorizo. A classic egg sandwich with a little addition that makes you go mmmm. The bacon is super good quality too. The tostada egg and bacon ($7) is simple and delicious. One slice of that wonderful hearty bread is toasted and halved. Half has a bit of tomato spread, an over medium egg and a couple of slices of bacon. Put a lid on it and you have half of a classic egg sandwich. While those were particularly good choices for the LOs that were certainly delicious, we aimed a little higher. We ordered the abondigas ($4.50), which are four super fresh and moist, well-seasoned beef meatballs in a spicy tomato garlic sauce topped with minced chives and served with three little breadsticks. I couldn't believe how moist those meatballs were and how sweet and spicy the sauce was without being overly acidic. I was similarly wowed by the Catalan sausage ($11), which was a toasted sesame seed bun with a light colored sausage that was reminiscent of bratwurst but with a lot more seasoning. It was drizzled with a spicy "brava" sauce (similar to a harissa mayonnaise sauce) and topped with crunchy fried onions and little pickled peppers. The sausage was moist and juicy in a toasty and warm jacked with crunchy sweet and tart toppings. Delish! The tostada jamon ($7.50) was similarly wonderful. A slice of hearty Bub & Grandma's bread is smeared with tomato spread and topped with shaved jamon serrano and topped with marcona almonds. The jamon was rich and intensely flavored by nice and lean. The crust of the bread was perfect for sopping up the rest of the sauce with the abondigas. We absolutely loved our entire meal. The truck and the wine tasting were totally worth the 80 minute trip - one way. Five stars.

The Serrano ham sandwich is amazing! The ciabatta bread is delicious and the sauce is just the right combo of sweet and (mildly) spicy. A bit pricy with the extra $1.50 for manchego cheese (for $14.50 total) but totally worth it. We also got an order of the croquettas which were to die for- flaky crunchy on the outside, salty and creamy on the inside. The truck is in a great location right outside of Albertsons on Hillhurst. We will definitely be going back!

Lomo Con Queso on Ciabatta ($15), Tortilla on baguette ($10) and Tumaca Fries ($5)--all perfectly made

Lomo Con Queso on Ciabatta ($15), Tortilla on Baguette ($10) and Tumaca Fries ($5) all were perfectly made and prepared, from the roasting of the pork to the the romesco sauce for the Lomo Con Queso, to the garlic aioli for the Tumaca fries, to the care in slicing the meats, vegetables and bread. It was a tad bit pricey, but I understand the need for increased prices for the local quality breads, meats and vegetables. SUPER friendly, Victor had a smile greeting us and taking our order, beaming with happiness and positivity.

I read many reviews that said this was the food truck to go to in LA. My girlfriend and I decided to go over Thursday night at their silver lake spot , and to be totally honest, were very disappointed . We initially wanted 2 eggs and chorizo subs , but were told they had run out of the ciabatta bread . The cashier offered us the same sandwich on a baguette, which we agreed to. Then , he talked to the chefs and told us "they actually can't do the sandwich on the baguette".... then why were we given that option in the first place? We decided to get a Classico , the meatballs, the fries , and the tostada eggs and bacon , add cheese . It came to about 40 dollars with tax . After waiting about 25 minutes, we received our food and went home . The fries were by far the best part of the entire meal. Well seasoned and flavorful. 8/10 The meatballs were good, spicy sauce and juicy. The bread sticks were not good, but I'm assuming they felt that it added to the dish somehow. 6/10 The Classico had a good flavor , the tomato and pepper worked well together . The bread was insanely hard and not enjoyable whatsoever. 5/10 And lastly , we didn't even get the tostadas that we had ordered. We asked for the eggs and bacon and got the De Jamon (as pictured below). My girlfriend is allergic to nuts , and it completely ruined her dinner . Luckily it was obvious that it was a mistake, and she didn't have to go the hospital. If we would have gotten the right item , and been accommodated in general, I'm sure this review would have been a 3 star, maybe even a 4 . But sadly , our experience on a Thursday night was far less than what we paid for . For 40 dollars I expected a good meal, and I feel we were taken advantage of . The saddest part is the 9 dollars I spent on a wrong item that Couldn't be eaten Would not recommend , will not be returning .

Tumaca is top notch food truck material! Their sauces are phenomenal, the chorizo sandwich is light and flavorful, the bread is the perfect texture not too dry not too crunchy. Very balanced breakfast option. The tumaca fries are tasty too. Love the soft crunch of the potato and the aioli is addicting. Met the owners, they are very friendly and keep their set up very clean.

I tried Tumaca specialties at Row DTLA (Mondays). As a Spaniard (from Barcelona) I can say that they serve the BEST tapas & sandwiches you will find in LA - far beyond Food Truck standards and compared to best tapas restaurants in Spain. The food quality is awasome and the cooking is perfect! Don't miss their ham croquetas... Delicous experience!!!

They are also one of the few places that carries a lot of other types of meat like birria, lengua, and more. I also really love coming here because they offer braised onions on the side. I always get 2 al pastor and 1 birria and have never disappointed. The food comes out super quick so you're never waiting for long. There's also a bar-like-table on the side where you can stand and eat your food with trashcans around to throw your plate away. Parking is really convenient since this place is located in the Ross parking lot. I've never had issues finding a spot, especially at night. The workers are always nice. They accept card, but the prices are cheaper if you pay in cash. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a late night taco spot!

The food ticket even has the wrong times so there is no accountability, food safety (gloves), refunds for terrible service, and it was about a long wait for basic things. To the owner: the receipt says 12:52am, I started waiting around 9:45pm. By the logic you gave me, it should take 3 hours to make 6 cookies? That doesn't make any sense. Any commercial cookie place pre-bakes their cookies to lower the wait time for their customers. I love hiphop, I love music blasting. I'm hard of hearing so if I can't even think straight from the sound after being particularly deaf that's something. How did I know they were not wearing gloves? I asked them 2-3 times during the allotted time and when they answered they were not wearing gloves. Went I went the final time to the window I was watching the worker put our cookies in a container without gloves and he handed them to me. We didn't even eat the cookies because I didn't see gloves on at any point of the process. The reason for the 0/5 stars is the service ordering was odd, no one greeted me, the lights were off when I ordered for a good while. The cookies took way longer when they could be pre-made to quicken the customer experience. More visibility of the windows to see the actual process of all the food would help customers feel rest assured basic food safety and prevention of cross contamination. And lastly, good customer service of all guests. We want good food, we want excellent cookies. That was not my experience, in any of the process. 7/20 update: As a customer, waiting 30 minutes to 2 hours for 6 cookies is way too long. Even if they are the best damn cookies I've ever had, no way am I waiting outside that long for them. I'm not telling you how to run your business, I'm giving you suggestions based on my terrible experience. Again, the cookies were so gross I left them in the trash can at the hotel we were staying at. It didn't matter if it was a woman owned, white owned, or anything, my experience was one of the worst experiences ever ordering, period.
