Great little secret in tmalo Clean attentive staff. Tasty food and a greaselection of spirits! Worth the stop.

Cheesy tots! Unbelievably good...and super reasonably priced.

Nice looking place. Poor service. Bar maid never came out from behind the bar. Had to yell what we wanted and go get them off the bar.

Nice little bar down the road from use. My husband goes there often. (Barfly) ‍People have been friendly to me every time I've been there.

I had the most delicious tiny beer here. It tasted like peaches. It is a fun spot with a cool atmosphere.

Been there twice and bartenders were not very friendly. Not interested at all in making the food on the menu, or even offering.

I love this place! Plenty of draft beer choices, great food, and great service!…read moreThis is a very lively, fun place where you can go to chill after work, play, or just exploring the area while on foot. Food: Really good artisan cuisine, this is way better than typical "pub-fare" Their pizza is amazing too! Grab a beer, get some grub, and grab a shirt before you leave. You must go there when you're downtown window shopping. Prices: $$ What you'd expect for such a great place! Parking: This is downtown, so before rush-hour, it's not bad (be mindful of the parking time posted on the signs). You probably don't need reservations, I never have, but if you have a large party, might be a good idea! Very enjoyable!

Well, except the wings which were a little dried out, but still edible. The fries were hot and fresh, the Nashville chicken sandwich had a great spice and was freshly made, the size caesar salad was small, but fresh and flavorful, and the Margherita pizza was one you'd expect in a brewery, but won't make you think you're in Italy. We didn't partake in beer since we were off to work in the afternoon, but looking at the menu, I didn't see anything that was for me. I'm a wheat beer fan and didn't see anything that would entice me to return for a beer later.

Bad news. Good news…read more Bad news first is this: The Drake has been sold to new owners and TONIGHT, APRIL 12, WILL BE THE LAST DAY OF SERVICE at The Drake with the original owner and the current menu. So if you're hankering for the mac n cheese or shrimp n grits or veg burger or any of the menu items, after today they are history. I started eating at The Drake in their first week of business and had many, many, many meals there over the years but things change and so, it seems, has the popularity of The Drake. Now the good news. The new owners are a trio and one of them is also one of the owners of the inestimable Ken's Artisan Pizza in Portland that opened its' Bend location last year. (Go! Even if you have to stand in line for 45 minutes like I did.) The first news of this ownership change was that they would keep the name and current focus of The Drake. But local television news reports that after The Drake closes today it will be reimagined with a new name and design and menu. The opening for the new place is currently said to be Memorial Day weekend. I don't live in Bend anymore but there is still a family home there and so I visit on occasion and knowing a "Ken's" owner is involved in the new enterprise may make me brave the wicked-bad downtown parking to try this new place. In the meantime, I remember how fun and delicious it could be to eat at The Drake.

They were simple and well-made and relatively strong. Very cute little location seating wasn't an issue, even though we didn't make reservation reservations ahead of time Just overall a very solid little spot, we got some sliders and some other little sides and everything was put together well and price right. Definitely acquired a place so probably good. We didn't bring the kids.

I guess a lot of places do beer right! I was staying at the Springhill Suites a few doors down and this place was a welcome delight. I was able to snag a table, have a delicious beer flight, and a wonderful pork schnitzel dish. My spatzel was cold so I asked for some fresh and it was much better. Boiled perfectly and then pan fried in butter or something. Nice texture. The place is kinda nice too. It had a spacious interior and a wonderful outside space where a lot of patrons were happy drinking and dining. And that custom table!!! I wish I was here in Bend longer as I would have liked to return and try more of those delicious beers. If I'm ever in Bend again, Surely I'm going here (and I won't stop calling you Shirley).

Monkless is certainly that and are consistently turning out some of the best Belgian beers in the northwest. The tasting room/restaurant is in a fantastic location with an excellent view off the large deck. It's modern, yet retains that old Abby vibe. Work with your server to put together a tasting flight, then try to decide what you like best and order a full pour. We stuck with the shareables and a dessert. The pretzel and cheese sauce were fire! The poutine only lasted a few minutes on the table and the sausage plate was great, although one of the sausages was a bit over done. They are char grilled, so if that's not your jamb, skip over it. My daughters only let me have one small bite of the chocolate cake before it disappeared.
