I have become a regular customer at this location for many reasons. First and foremost, if you want some tasty Nashville-style hot chicken this is where it's at. The seasoning is out of this world. And the chicken is super moist! My favorite is the three piece chicken tenders - dang hot! You also can't go wrong with dirty fries (crispy fries with Beer Cheese, shredded hot chicken and pickles). If you order takeout, I recommend placing an order online then picking it up in the restaurant. It's much faster than having them bring the food to the car. I would order that level of heat again. My daughter and I both got the Mac & Cheese for the side. I thought it was good, but she didn't care for it, so I guess it just depends on your taste. I want to start off by saying we had absolutely no issues with a visit at a place that has only been open a week. Our food was perfectly prepared, delicious, came out quickly and the service was exceptional. I love the way they built out the restaurant. We are huge T22 fans and have been going to the Burnet road location since it took the place of our favorite burger spot in town. We have come to love the quality of the food and the service. In our opinion, it is just simply the best chicken sandwich out there. It is no surprise since they are connected with Salty Sow, which has a spot in our top-five restaurants in the Austin area. They just do things right. This little area of RR is getting to be such a hot spot, with so many amazing restaurant offerings in the area of the intersection of Old Settlers/35. The best news we heard last night? Via 313 is opening in the extra space next to T22. We were so excited when we heard T22 was coming to Round Rock, and when we went last night, we fully expected some growing pains since it had just opened. We were met with absolutely none. We went for happy hour and sat at the bar. It is not a huge bar and they have it sectioned off with plexiglass dividers for COVID safety. Jordan was the bartender and so very personable and attentive. They have a great HH menu, food for $4/$5 and $5 drinks. I had a Little Larry (always my go to) and I also hade a 60/40 (beer with their blood orange house marg added). My husband had a Little Larry and a Paloma. All drinks were superb. Everything we ordered came out very quickly and the food was the normal high-quality deliciousness we have come to expect from T22. I love the OG sandwich and the 'Lil OG is on the $4 HH menu. It is 5oz of chicken as compared to the 8oz regular OG and was more than enough for me, especially after the loaded dirty fries. The dirty fries are their perfectly thin and crispy fries, topped with a sauce, chunks of chicken bites and their amazing handmade pickles. My husband had the three piece chicken plate and the chicken was fresh, SO crispy and, well, to be as cliché as possible, finger licking good. We really hope that they bring back the Southern Sandwich (chicken thigh instead of breast). That was our favorite thing on the menu and they took it off when COVID hit. I get it...the need to streamline the menu for pandemic purposes; but management, if you are reading this? Please bring it back if you are able to! read more

Finally, my wife. Stopped waiter with baseball cap backward. Asked him, "Our waiter hasn't come by." All he said was, "your waiter is right there." Pointed at the waiter. Table, across from us. Of course, the waitress never acknowledged us. Still back towards us. Finally, asked another waitress who passed by. Asked, if she can take our order because been waiting for 20 minutes. No one has come to our table, to take our order. She was gracious enough to get our order. Finally finished eating. My wife stopped the manager, by the name of Ashely. We explain our situation. She listened and apologized. Fine with us. She didn't give much empathy. That being said. Not requesting a free meal. Just felt we were forgotten. We were looking forward eat at Tumble 22. Best chicken sandwich spot I've been to in this part of Texas. Portions are huge and very filling. Drinks are great. Would've been a 5 star if the service was better. Three of us showed up first out of a party of seven. As we entered we approached two servers in the waiting area. We were not greeted and one of the servers walked away. After standing there for several minutes the other worker rudely ushered us to follow the lady that walked away. 1. She never spoke to us so we had no idea she was guiding us to our table. 2. She assumed it was just the 3 of us and walked to a smaller table. After clarifying that we were a larger party, she became visibly annoyed and redirected us to a bigger table. Moving on to when our food was brought out, one of the servers was listing off the wrong foods and again became visibly annoyed when we said she had the wrong order. She began to talk back and give attitude. When our main server showed up she quickly corrected the mistake. Our main server was great. It was just a few others that were not so pleasant. First bad review ever. Bad Service compared to the central Austin location. Mikaela was our server, we had ordered a sprite but would have liked to have been told that they only have the maine root brand of soda (the sprite version tastes horrible btw) we then ordered 2 of the 2 piece chicken meals (thinking they would be the thighs) and when they came out it was 2 tenders for our order.. They have 2 - two piece chicken meals and it would have been nice for that to be specified or confirmed with us during our order. So then after I told her it was wrong (no offer for correction) and I had to ask for my meal to be corrected and it just took way too long for my meal to come out (it wasn't busy at this time). At this point my husband and toddler have long finished their meals and patience was running low. No apologies or even better service to follow the mistake. They then charged me for the mistake they made on the meal and I had to ask for the correction, then waited even longer. Ate my side for the wrong meal cause I was hungry of course, so was charged for an additional side when I had specifically asked for just the chicken thighs to be corrected. Debated 4 stars, but when I thought about it I decided for the 5. Here's why: The placed was full, but the turn over is quick. So very little wait time. The staff was great, quick, attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, but if you can't take the heat go with the wimpy, the wife did. I got the Mac with the hot chicken it was tasty and not to hot. I got the Mo Hot for my 1/2 bird and it's pretty darn hot, but it's very tasty. Potato salad was not a mustard potato salad... it was perfect for me. My wife got the half salad with chicken and it was perfect for her. I've ordered delivery from here twice. Both times the chicken was good, and the sides and desserts were really good. I think this is good, quality food that is reasonably priced. I'm taking off a star because both times I was disappointed with the way the chicken was... "sauced". The first time I ordered "hot" chicken and the chicken wasn't hot in any way, shape or form. It was 100% mild, no sauce applied at all. I figured my definition of hot and theirs is really different, so the second time I ordered my chicken "dang hot". Again, it wasn't "dang hot". One or two bites were spicy like I was hoping but the sauce was applied haphazardly and there wasn't any consistency to the heat level. I don't buy the "we tumble your chicken 22 times" gimmick. Maybe they do sometimes, but not on the chicken I've had. Ultimately, this is good food. Absolutely terrible service. Every time I come here for a pick up order I end up having to go back inside the restaurant because they forgot something in my order. Tonight I ordered their "special" which was a buffalo chicken sandwich that comes with buffalo sauce and ranch among other toppings. When I took my sandwich out of the box it had zero buffalo sauce or ranch and the chicken was colder than room temp. The other chicken sandwich I ordered was very warm, which makes me feel like the cold chicken was older.
