First of all Thank you to Samatha for making our almost bad experience a better one ! So me and my family walk into the restaurant and we stand next to the, "Please Wait to be Seated" sign. After being passed over 5x by servers and hostess, someone finally acknowledges us. Some server named Val says, "Are you guys looking for a table or something?" I mean of course we're looking for a table, It doesn't fulfill my appetite going to restaurants and watching other people eat. On top of that she said it with a really bad attitude and body language. I asked, "Well are we supposed to seat ourselves?, the sign says please wait to be seated." Val responds, " Oh, I don't know." shrugs her shoulders and walks us to a table. Maybe she should try applying to Dicks last resort... I've always enjoyed the chicken here, especially the batter and choice of heat levels. Opted for the "Mo Hot" level this time. The chicken is very crispy and moist inside. The pickle fries might be a newer item that I don't think was on the menu previously. I really liked it. It is more like very thinly sliced pickles that are battered and fried; it is very crispy and came with ranch to dip. They do have happy hour from 4-6PM Mondays through Fridays. read more

Saw the thanksgiving chicken sandwich on instagram and had to go try it. Walked in and waited about 10 minutes to be sat. There was no host. When you walk in to the left you see the bar and behind the bar is the kitchen where your food is made, and the people who are making your food. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable. Brought us our drinks right away and we ordered food . The food didn't take too long to come out but once it did.... We are not ones to complain. These chicken sandwiches slap so hard. I live 15-20 minutes away, and somehow the chicken is still crispy when I get home. Pure sorcery. The food here is obviously horrible health wise, so I only end up here maybe once or twice a month, but I never miss their monthly sandwich specials. The stoners behind the menu are constantly coming up with Fieri-esque combinations that are almost offensively delicious. Like damn, that bird is already deep fried an then slathered in hot oil and now you're putting an ice cream scoop sized ball of pimento cheese on top? Intentionally killing your customer base is a weird business model, but I live (and slowly die) for it. Oh, and don't skip those desserts. No, you probably don't have room because those sandwiches are the size of like 4 personal pan pizzas stacked on top of each other, but all their pies are delicious. Considering how over-the-top their chicken is, you'd think these desserts would be sickeningly sweet, but they use a surprising amount of restraint when sugaring up these pies, and the flavor is better for it. IIRC Service is friendly, but once you've got spicy chicken juice running down your chin and covering your fingers, everything else just kinda blurs. I have been hearing the hype about this place for a while now, so finally decided to try it. We ordered the "mo hot" chicken with mac and cheese, an orange margarita, and a John Daily. The chicken was good and was the perfect spice level for me. I wasn't a fan of their sauce and preferred it dipped in ranch. The macaroni and cheese was gooey and delicious. We enjoyed both drinks. They cut the portion on the 3 piece thighs by half and left it at the same price... I always got the 3 piece boneless thighs. Price was good considering you got 3 thighs (but one less side vs other combos on the menu), but when I went this last time, they had cut the portion in half (looks like they literally cut the chicken thighs in half). I've tried to give Tumble 22 a few chances but I'm still not impressed. I decided to try the Round Rock location because I've tried the Austin location 3 times & it was average. The Round Rock location definitely had great service. We were a party of 3 & visited on a Tuesday afternoon (lunch time). I had the 1/4 white, hot w/ fries & Mac n Cheese. I also had an adult lemonade. Unfortunately, just like the Austin location, I still wasn't impressed. The chicken has a wonderful kick/spice to it but not much flavor. If you like spicy fried chicken (like me) then this will become one of your favorite places. The chicken and sides are fantastic, and the interior decor is pretty good. Casual place to eat, and jumbo television for watching sports makes it a good place to hang out with friends. However, I've been three times, and on all three occasions the service seemed to be struggling. I understand restaurants are struggling to hire and recover from Covid, but little things keep me from giving them five stars. Like bringing silverware and napkins five minutes after the food is delivered, or the fact that they don't even have wet naps or anything similar, at a place that exclusively serves greasy fried chicken. On two of my three visits I specifically ordered dark meat (drumstick and thigh), but got a breast instead of thigh. I really want this place to succeed, but I also worry that they are hurting themselves by not getting some of these little things right. I'll continue to visit them, because the chicken can't be beat in Round Rock (only Lucy's in Austin has better chicken), and I still recommend Tumble 22 for casual eaters who love spicy chicken. read more

That aint me. I got the one past one and i was like got damn this shit hot but it got flavor too though. I didnt get to take pics of the sweet tea cuz i drunk about 4 of em. Mouth was on ten but it was really good. The mac and cheese was good too the greens. Ill pass and the pecan pie will get passed on too. It looks really good but ill pass. We visited this new T22 location last night for the first time and I think it's my favorite. The seating is more separate and private than the other locations, you get your own booth and it's just more comfortable in general. The food is as expected, spicy and delicious. The serving sizes are great, more than enough per person. The chicken is tender inside and crispy outside. The potato salad is a must paired with the hot chicken, perfect palette cooler. I am obsessed with their bread and butter pickles too, I think every order comes with a few but if you like pickles it's definitely worth ordering a few extra. Lots of parking, reasonable 15 minute wait on a Friday evening around 8. Service was perfectly fine. read more

There was a gentleman already at the bar when I arrived. After I sat there a good 8 minutes, someone tells the hostess that the guy that was there when I arrived had been waiting for a while. She then proceeds to greet him. After that, another server walks up to the gentleman that arrived after me and greeted him, letting him know someone would be right with him. He stated that "she/me" was here first. She never acknowledges me and walks away. Finally, the big guy comes behind the counter, greets me accordingly, and takes my order. He did nothing wrong, but because of everything that led up to that, I decided not to tip. I always tip, I feel guilty for not tipping him, but I wasn't happy. read more

Upon arrival the restaurant is in a great area very good atmosphere in general. Very friendly staff from cleaning to you name its very safe during covid also still mask on :) Me and my husband came during happy hour the food portions for the price is right. Our food was perfect just like the old location same style same way. Our drinks were good especially during happy hour not bad. Was excited to try the new location for one of my fav chicken joints. I always get the 'stupid hot' level at the burnet location and it always hits the spot with the crazy spiciness as it makes me question my sanity every.time! However the 'stupid hot' heat level at this location has barely any kick. You can tell they lack the spices just by looking at the the light coloring of the chicken. The 'stupid hot' I had today would probably be a level above wimpy. My friend who cannot handle spice at all even confirmed that the chicken was not at all spicy on a different occasion but at this same location. I think that should raise a brow somewhere... At the burnet location, the chicken would be covered all over in dark sprinkles of death (not joking). I'm hoping this is just adjustment needed from staff and not how the heat levels intend to be.
