Everything was so good. We got the chicken and waffles and the meatless tenders with fries. Everyone was nice and knowledgeable. We sat outside in a shaded area. The weather was nice. I will be going back.

Urban is my go to spot for chicken. My kids and I enjoy coming here. The service is fast and they are polite. There days way you have a language barrier interaction; however, they have staff who will assist if needed. The chicken here is very juicy and tasty. It is never dry. My favorite is the chicken and waffles. I like it no other way honestly. I keep telling myself I am going to try something new. I am set with my favorite meal. The ambiance of the place can be quite warm during the summer months, and that is due how the front of the building facing the west when the sun sets. There are plenty of seats to includ two large tables with stools and an outside patio area with tables and umbrellas. Parking is hit or miss as the area is usually full when I come, but I still manage to find parking. I recommend trying this place at least once for the experience and hopefully you will like it like I do.

Came during the "winter storm" for a friends birthday (very casual). Menus are located at the front when you walk in, decided to get the Buffalo Mac based on my friends recommendation. I enjoyed it and had enjoy to take with me Togo. I will likely reheat in my air fryer because the sauce will definitely make the fries soggy, however felt there was a good portion of fries, Mac, chicken and sauce present. Food came out in about 5 minutes and I enjoyed it. I saw the videos for the milk shake and I was tempted however I don't need 20 oz worth of milkshake so in that, I wish they offered a smaller size.

Great fried chicken! The fries were nice and crispy, the toast was buttery and soft, and the sauce was also flavorful and slightly sweet. I got the hot cheeto mac n cheese as a side and it was pretty decent! Although i wish i tried the waffles. Maybe next time!

I LOVED everything we tried from here. The staff were very nice and helpful. The ambiance was amazing with good music playing and cleanliness was up-to par. Their elote fries were so delicious! And so were the urban fries. Chicken is well seasoned and very well cooked. Service was fast, we did not have to wait a lot. Best part is that they are HALAL. 10/10 I definitely recommend!

Casual clean chicken spot to get tenders or a chicken sandwich. I usually get the family pack meal for 37.99 which is enough to feed three people. The chicken here is always crispy and juicy on the inside. I would suggest getting their lemon pepper tenders with the maple sriracha sauce. Also, the fries are always seasoned well and I love that they offer 3 lemonade selections(mango, strawberry, blueberry).

First, the place is cute, especially with the giant rooster! I made the mistake of getting the Buffalo Mac without realizing how hot it is...to me! If you are a heat champ with food, this should be a breeze for you. If you didn't grow up eating spicy food and you don't prefer heat, this is not for you! I could not finish my meal due to it making me feel uncomfortable and too full! I tried using extra ranch to cool it down, it didn't help. Everything is absolutely DRENCHED in the buffalo sauce. This place is also a bit pricey for fast food. I'd be willing to try it one more time and choose a food that doesn't wreck me.

Came back for a second visit. This one wasn't that great. Staff seemed a bit 'off'. Facilities were adequate. However, the food was a miss. While the fries were fresh and hot - like I like them to be - the chicken (Nashville Hot) was too much for my tastebuds. If I do return, it won't be for that level of spicy.

I love love love love the chicken. The chicken OS SPICY, don't eat it unless you are ready. I was ready. Spicy chicken was good and I like the chicken statue, but it scares me. Don't come if you are scared of this checken... good ambiance.

I really don't like to leave one star reviews, even if I do have genuinely bad experiences. However, every single thing about this place wasn't great from the start. Now I like to try to go to places and try new things unbiased despite the hype or despite the bad reviews; I understand that a lot of restaurants have good and bad days. So let me start by saying that this place was overpriced, and I was fully expecting that as a Nashville hot chicken place. I definitely think that tasty food is worth a dollar amount. And honestly after eating here I can confidently say that KFC has a better Nashville hot chicken. Not only did the delivery driver forget my large drink that was $3.99, but the sides are extremely small, the chicken tenders are two for $9, and not to mention the most important part of Nashville hot chicken; the chicken was incredibly small when they boast their size, but they are also dry! Their mac & cheese is made in a flavorless white sauce that is too saucy for southern mac & cheese if you ask me. Literally just taste like salty noodles. And they throw a side of crunched up hot Cheetos? The fries were only partially seasoned and were incredibly soggy and blonde. If you are experienced in Nashvillehot chicken, do not even bother, wasting your time here.

I came in on October 11th of this year with Thing Two to get some food for take-out. What we got: Nashville Mac The fries are tossed in a house seasoning and topped with white cheese and chicken. The amount of cheese and accouterments drowned the crinkle cut fries, which rendered them soggy (insert sad face here). The portions served here are large enough for two adults or, in my case, one 17 year old man-boy, aka Thing One. The white cheese mix atop these fries seemed to be the type that comes out of the can, which I am not a fan of. Buffalo Mac This is essentially the same dish as the Nashville Mac (subsitie the Buffalo Sauce on this for Comeback Sauce on the Nashville Mac, and it's the same entree). The soggy fries beneath the chicken on this entree are attributed to the heavy cheese and sauce piled on high. The 'buffalo' on this entree provides a tangy, vinegary aspect that some may find pleasing. The amount of food offered on the french fry entries are hefty. However, the wait time on these entrees was greater than 30 minutes, which is hard to fathom as there were only three other guests in the establishment at the time of our visit who already had their food. Additionally, there were several employees here who seemed to be conversing around the cooking area as opposed to cooking it while I waited for my food. I guess these employees were following the 'time is relative' principle.

I usually go to Hattie B's or Dave's hot chicken or even Austin's local Tumble22. We are a big hot chicken fans and like try new hot chicken. Places. We came here on this past Sunday and ordered tender meal and sandwich meal. Also ordered a tender on the side along with a small Mac and cheese. We did tender meal mild and sandwich meal Extra Hot. Even the tender on the side I did Extra hot. Which Xtra hot had decent spice to it the tenders were super small. I feel $4 for this small tender is a bit steep. Service was super fast and swift. Noticed employee cleaning the tables which is a good sign. It wasn't busy like Dave's hot chicken usually is but that's good that we can eat in peace and don't have to wait too long for our food. Overall decent food but I personally think tenders were too small for the price. For drinks we had the lemonades. They had 3 tries of lemonades.. strawberry, mango and blueberry.

Whiskey Cake has been on my list of places to try…read more I was in Round Rock today, so today was the day! I entered in, and just to the left, a host greeted me in. I said this was my first time here, and that I was excited to try them. She was super polite, very friendly. She sat me at a booth. She walked away for a quick minute and came back with a water glass and a small pitcher of ice cold water. My server came around. And gave me my menu and said you gotta try the whiskey Cake. Cake? Did someone say cake? Yes please. With cake on my mind. I thought I better balance this out. So I played it safe and got the grilled chicken salad. Also she said everything is house made from scratch, such as the cocktails, juice, salad dressing and so on. I did order a juice from the bar. It was the Jessica Wabbit with mint, carrot, lime, ginger, and some other flavors. The drink was handed to me first. Lovely flavors, could taste the fresh mint, fresh ginger. A little sweetness with the pineapple. Brilliant mix of flavors. The salad was very large. Dressing was fresh, rich with basil and garlic. Chunks of bacon and wedges of hard boiled eggs, avocado chunks, blue cheese scattered around, and the grilled chicken, warm juicy and beautifully chard. Love that charred flavor. The salad dressing was really delectable. Wonderful salad. Next came the whiskey cake. This cake should be its own food group. The cake itself has a beautiful flavor, it's a little dense, in a good way. The sauce is outstanding, it's toffee and sweet. Heavenly really. Pecans on top are spiced. I could only eat half of the cake. I'll snack on that later tonight. The food was outstanding. I would love to come back and try other food items. Service was perfection. I had so many wonderful conversations with everyone I came in contact with. I was wished well by everyone I passed by. Even in the bathroom, the host was coming out and she asked how my visit was. I mean, just the most genuine southern hospitality. Top notch service! Parking lot was packed. And they do have a pretty large lot all around the building. So you know this has to be The Place for an afternoon lunch or family dinner.

The whiskey cake is probably this restaurant's saving grace as the cake is decadent moist, and the combination of the pecans with the caramel and the whipped cream all just make it so delicious. It was definitely worth the wait to have it at the end and in retrospect, it probably would have done well to have first since the food that we ordered was a little more on the lackluster side. I found it hard to be impressed by the prime rib and Gouda stack as they were no defining flavors for this rather expensive sandwich and the mac and cheese was also not very memorable. When it comes to the service provided at the restaurant, there were many times where it felt as though our table had been forgotten to be waited upon, despite there not being many other people at the restaurant. Overall, I think my experience at Whiskey Cake was OK and while I may not return for the food necessarily, I would for the cake.

They are NOT a virtual kitchen - and it is just as well that they are not a virtual kitchen. They make it sound like Chronic Fries is borrowing space from Urban Chicken. Chronic Fries is not "borrowing space" from Urban Chicken. The two institutions are one and the same. The menu for one is printed on the back of the menu for other. They may have a complicated ownership structure - But that does not get around the fact that this is simply a fast food restaurant where you can order both chicken and fries. * * * I don't see why Chronic Fries would want to be a virtual kitchen. Virtual kitchens are awful antiseptic places where there is no place to sit down. In a virtual kitchen, you get your food from a numbered box. In a virtual kitchen, there is screen against a wall from which you order. Otherwise, you use your phone. It takes effort to make contact with a human being. Virtual Kitchens are total THX 1138. Virtual kitchens s**k. * * * Chronic Fries/Urban Chicken is a nifty place for a fast food restaurant. They have tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. The crowd is heavily college-age which may or may not be collegiate. The crowd is diverse the way Round Rock is diverse. The crowd has a lot of church kids the way Round Rock has a lot of church kids. My male companion and I were the oldest people in the place. Virtual kitchens don't have crowds - let alone young ones. * * * The fries are super-duper. (Okay, for a college aged place, I probably should have used a term less dated than "super-duper".) For the maximum french fry bliss experience, get any version with chicken on top. Some versions give you chicken automatically. All versions let you order chicken on top as an add-on. Urban Chicken does a good chicken And what goes on your French Fries will be top notch. We got three kinds of fries. The standout was the BBQ Mac and Cheese Fries. Hot Cheetos Fries were just what they sound like. The sides that don't have much Hot Cheetos on them are not all that interesting. You get to the part with industrial quantities of ground up Hot Cheetos on top and, Suddenly things start to go live action. Plain macaroni and cheese fries are not that exciting by themselves. But they sell about half a dozen sauces to put on top of your macaroni and cheese fries. Some of those look like they could make a real compelling argument That they belong on your fries If your toppings are not exotic enough already. * * * Just for the record, they also run a soft-serve operation. That soft-serve operation offers milk shakes as a possible beverage. Thumbs up on the soft serve milk shakes. Their version of an Oreo Milkshake has about a truckload of Oreo crumbs dumped on top. On a milkshake that means that the crumbs end up all on the bottom with your maraschino cherry. Why oh why, in the 21st century, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? Why oh why, in the 20th century, the 19th century, the 18th century or any century that you can possibly think of, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? The church kids eating at the various tables around you can probably explain to you that because Eve ate the Apple in the Garden of Eden - and Adam ate the apple too - that they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden - and forced to have maraschino cherries on top of their desserts. God's love and the Forgiveness of Jesus Christ gives you the really good Oreo Milkshake that surrounds that maraschino cherry. I have no idea if that theology is sound ... But the Oreo milkshake is objectively good And the difficulty of sucking up those Oreo crumbs with your straw Is the exact equivalent of attaining heaven merely by the force of good works. * * * First rate fries. First rate toppings. First rate drinks. A corporate office with an identity problem. And religious people to talk to in the seats If the fries inspire you to seek a higher way. * * * What's not to like? (Outside of the identity problem.)

We arrived on time to be greeted by two hostesses who looked too young to even be employed and more interested in flipping their hair than actually working. After about ten minutes, we were seated. First seating for a large family was a small booth, so we asked to be seated at a bigger table. Second seating in the back of the restaurant close to the bar and kitchen. Initially, our waitress seemed expedient and friendly. Took our drink and meal orders and brought drinks out quickly. First round of drinks were fine.. Appetizers were mozzarella sticks and spinach and artichoke dip. Entrees were a bacon cheeseburger, baby back ribs with a loaded baked potato and broccoli cheese soup, chicken parm, beef dip sandwich, and a 10 oz ribeye for me. Order made and we waited. While waited we watched for servers standby and talk about random cartoons; one server was loudly having a conversation, with himself; bartenders seemed disengaged at times from the patrons. But as the bar filled in they seemed to liven up. I mention the servers talking only as a reference to our food. One of the servers being our own. When our food finally came out, you could tell immediately that the food had been ready for a while. Second round of drinks were bad. Shirley temples were watered down, orange soda had an unfamiliar taste. That did not get drank. Main course came out after about 40 minutes. The bacon cheeseburger was acceptable, chicken parm, the noodles were overcooked, dried out and room temperature. They were so unacceptable that we had to send it back. The fresh noodles came out in less than ten minutes The baby back ribs were poorly cooked and bland. Baked potato looked unappealing, and the broccoli cheese soup tasted like velveeta cheese soup. The beef dip came out and Was barely warm and dry. The steak was fairly cooked well, albeit a bit chewy and overly fatty. Disregarding the servers discourse, our server wasn't overtly bad. Things started going downhill when my brother received his tri tip. He mentioned to Faith that it was over cooked and was not to his liking. He asked if he could get it corrected, and instead of being attentive to my brother's request, she replied with this negative tone that "tri tips are slow cooked (something along those lines) and that you may not get it the way you like it." There was no, "let me see what I can do." Just this is how it is and how it's done, take it or leave it. The vibe after that interaction killed the experience and set a tone of not wanting to be there. But knowing it was my birthday, I was at least excited for the free birthday pizookie. She asked if we were interested in dessert but not once did Faith mention the free pizookie or offered it. We paid our bill and she said Happy Birthday. While walking out, I wanted to confirm that BJ's still offer that complimentary pizookie. So I asked a server who was working on silverware before I exited the building. "Hi, do you still offer a free pizookie for birthdays?" She replied "yes if it's your birthday." I work in Customer Service and this was not it. But I do want to give a shoutout to Alexander. Our last server prior to this experience who made me want to come back to this establishment bc he was a 5 star server. Amazing experience! Faith could take some pointers from him.
